Christine Allado played Peggy/Maria and was understudy Eliza in the original London production of ‘Hamilton’ from 2017 until 2018.

I see both Vanessa and Nina as very strong women and in a musical, even if it's a movie, both their looks and their voices need to fit.
I just can't see Melissa's Vanessa as a strong fighter, the only thing I got right from her was the dreamer part, because Melissa sounds and looks dreamy, but I just can't feel the same "I'm struggling but I'll get out of it" I get from other Vanessas, just the "I'll get out of it"

Even though I didn’t enjoy the movie, I am glad it’s creating new fans! In The Heights has been a bit under appreciated so I’m glad the movie is giving the musical some more well-deserved attention. :)
At work my boss only plays in the heights soundtrack on repeat and then forced us to watch the movie so it was forced upon me

I wonder if something about the story gets lost in translation when performed in Japan. It's an amazing musical but a lot of the references are bit too "deep cut inside jokes" from the Latin American community in New York

Slighty off topic but I'm wondering in the ones performed on Spanish how the part where Nina teaches Benny Spanish goes
In the Argentina production, in Sunrise, in the parts where Nina teaches Benny Spanish ("esquina...corner, tienda...store, bombilla...lightbulb", etc) is mostly kept as written in the original libretto. The chorus ("anything at all can happen just before the sunrise") is in Spanish

I don't know about DR but in Korea, there aren't many bootlegs of any musicals floating around online because musical fans there generally are anti-boot so filming and uploading boots online is really frowned upon, and the masters for bootlegs are more likely to get arrested by the government if they are caught since the law is more strict there...sorry! You can find official, legally filmed portions of both productions here on UA-cam but not the whole thing.
(I'm not pro or anti boot by the way, please don't take this as me being anti-boot!)
