I'd watch Ridley any day of the week, in case you were trying to gauge interest in characters for future videos. What I appreciate most about your content is your playstyle and general mental game approach to Elite Smash. You can pick up pretty much any character and style on folks. It makes for super interesting content for the more underrepresented characters. I learn so much watching these videos. Thanks for all your hard work editing and uploading content so consistently as well.
I kinda feel like heavys are glass canons in smash. Most if not all have heavily exploitable recovery's as well as cheese combos/kill confirms and high damage potential. They hit hard, kill early, and die early.

Its half true. Yeah the recovery is easy to catch if not mixed up some times. But thats the case in general. Also yeah the heavys are cheesy and not that complex. But if you look at the tierlist it makes sense because some of theme have combos and are even lower then bowser and bowser is a mid tier char.
Now look if you made one of the heavys some techincal as joker. It would be terrible or broken for the game as we see in Kazuya who can be as hard hitting and be as tanky as a heavy some times. Imo its more some kind of skill issue from the player if the hevys dies in under 100%
@@krawotzke1081 I wasn't complaining about it. I think that you're right, if heavys were super technical or had way better recoverys it would probably be worse for the game as a whole. And regarding the dieing at less than 100% thing being a skill issue. I agree to an extent. But some characters with great edge guarding tools can just checkmate recoveries like bowsers and dks. Incin maybe has a bit more mix up since he can side b and up b to recover but he can also get cooked offstage if the side b timing gets caught once. I don't even play at a top level or anywhere close but at that level those characters just don't get to recover in certain matchups. Unless the person doing the edge guarding makes a mistake.
In the case of dk your right. Btw bowser has an advanced tech called tap recovery. In that case you dont mash like crazy but tap in some rythm to delay the rise up of the recovery. Still gimpeble but not as easy as the mash only methode. Also bowser can recover high with his down b like cloud csn with his upb or some other chars.

Ganondorf also kills early and dies early, I'd consider him a glass cannon too despite the heavy weight.
100% agree, dying early in smash doesn't have to mean you get blasted off the top or sides; Lil Mac, Dr. Mario, basically anyone with high kill power and terrible recovery is a glass cannon in my book
Thats some kind of the way you look at the word glassconon. That what you descripe is just getting gimped and not the real meaning of glascanon. That what sillin meant with pichu is more like yeah i get killed by 60 centerstage at some times.
@@krawotzke1081 the "real meaning of glasscannon" wasn't coined for smash bros in the first place, so you could argue even pichu's extreme glasscannon ass isn't true glasscannon. Same way lariats in dbfz are not considered true lariats to the global lexicon. High kill potential and high potential for early death are the trademarks of a glasscannon

Ridley is a glass cannon too, not because he's light but because he's not that heavy and his recovery is still horrible, so he can still die quite early.
