Can only play the teams in front of you, and the Leafs are doing the best at that right now. I dont think being number 1 necessarily means they are the best team in the League. Cant really judge that super well with the NHL divisions being the way they are. Think people need to keep that in mind before criticizing Power Rankings.

This team should be 29-31 range that's how poorly they're playing and have been playing all season. Only saving grace so far is Marky and the Canucks sucking about as hard.
You don't just get to 31st or 29th straight away. Ottawa and Vancouver have been absolutely atrocious for weeks. You have to really work to get that low. They just aren't that bad yet, but maybe if they keep going like they have they will be soon.

This Hawks team is fun. Feels like the year or so before the first cup run, when the team was all about these talented young up and coming stars. The main difference is that now we a veteran version of Patrick Kane who is still one of the best wingers in the world. I can't wait to see what next year looks like when Dach and (hopefully) Toews are back.
We got a pretty tough division in the actual central division. I see us fighting for the 3rd spot, but we just need to add small pieces during the offseason. I got a feeling we going to see consist playoffs in the coming seasons

Looks like the front office shake up has sparked the Pens. Especially Malkin and Letang. Maybe it's just coincidence but they've both started shooting the puck more. Malkin still derps around and his line is a major liability at times. Much improved play though.

As a caps fan, the nervousness is creeping in, we really haven’t played our best hockey lately. Yes we’ve had injuries and Covid etc... hopefully when samsonov comes back we get some really good games outta him and the offence picks up but man it’s not been great lately
What makes me happy is that in the end, it’s a rebuild year and the Kings current roster is still competitive. Byfield/Turcotte/Fagemo/Durzi/Kupari/etc haven’t even made their NHL debuts yet and those are the blue chip prospects still in the AHL. In the end, the Coyotes and Wild are what they are. All their young talent is already up and the Ducks have Zegras/Drysdale but who knows when they’ll be up. Thanks for the Kings love

Habs at #2 in the North is VERY generous. They dominated the Canucks early in the season, but are below .500 against the rest of the division.
It is crazy the Atlantic division is one two three in the power rankings it just shows how top heavy that division really is
