Lack forward depth to survive injuries to top 9 ... That fourth line is unplayable. They get absolutely run over every game. Fitzgerald better be looking, because there are no solutions in Utica.
Devils didn’t start getting hot until MacDermid was playing. I don’t know what you are even talking about. Plus they are stacked on D with like 5 nhl d pairings and silayev in the minors. I’m sure they will be buyers at the deadline for a solid forward.
@@RiotnRespect it's been a blast to see. The first game against the Panthers wasn't perfect, but the team stuck with it and got the wind. Tonight? They pretty much put together a 60 minute game where they showed skill, grit/physicality, and that they're playing as one unit. Here's to hoping they keep it up.
The Devils are becoming a team that will be a problem for anyone. The skill and speed is there but so is the grit and smart physical play. Their defense is also night and day from how it was under Ruff. Keefe has them buying into the system and Fitzgerald got players in the off season that fit Keefes style really, really well.
Love your channel, but you were remiss in not mentioning that, with tonight's win, Andrei Vasilevskiy became the fastest goalie to reach 300 wins in NHL history!
As a Bolts fan, my team continues to confuse me in the best and worst ways. We can go on a four game loosing streak and yet we shout out the Capitals and spanked the jets so far this season!
Yeah an easy win. Jets looked tired while the lightning had a week long break. I wish the jets would've at least got a power play goal. Congrats to vasilevsky on 300 wins. Glad he didn't get a goal against us though!
Didn't know that Vasilevskiy was such a goon, standing menacingly in the crease like that. Congrats to Andrei on the 300 career wins and being the fastest to ever do it!
That game was an absolute dumpster fire from Philly. Fedotov kept their heads above water while they would get ridiculous plays out of the blue that would catch Ullmark snoozing. Poor guy wasn't busy at all, so he had to have been completely iced out. Then it was finished out by an absolute snipe from Michkov. It was an emotional rollercoaster, and I'm still in shock that they managed to squeeze out with the win. Fedotov also made a pretty strong case for having the backup spot. He had some huge saves when Philly really needed them. He still has a lot to figure out, but he's starting to show that he wants to play big boy hockey.
Only 3 players scored 1000 points in fewer games than Connor McDavid -- Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Mike Bossy. But it's been done 4 times in fewer games. Of course, it was Gretzky, the only player with 2000 points. He scored his first 1000 in 424 games and second in 433!
278 ROWs in 490 games played. If he can get 23 ROWs in his next 29 games, THEN I'll recognize him as the "fastest". Brodeur hit 300 in 519 games without a single SOW. Plante did it in 528 games. Haven't checked Roy but I think he's up there, too... Point is - "fastest" is a little misleading.
It's incredible how 18/19 guys play almost a perfect game but the 1 that doesn't ultimately decides your fate. Ullmark was brutal I cant believe 1st how bad the Flyers were 2nd that they scored 5 goals on 19 shots and 3rd that the Sens somehow lost a game they were in control of for a full 64 minutes. They continue to drop pts in games were they are the far and away better team and its startign to get pretty annoying. Ullmark couldn't save a beach ball tonight if he tried
He was taking a nap. Poor guy only saw like 4 shots in the first 30 minutes of play! I feel bad for the Sens. They deserved to have another 4 goals on the board, at least, but Fedotov somehow made it happen. The Sens were 110% the better team tonight.
Canucks need to get together at home because what the actual heck was that. 5 shots through 40 minutes of play is unacceptable. Pettersson and Lankinen were the only ones to show up.
As an Isles fan I'll say it might be the best I've seen NYI skate all year and the Canucks were not prepared to lose the neutral zone. They were just lost for 2 periods.
I felt like the canucks defence has been soft most games. Tonights loss is the entire team, but the d isnt great. Maybe the time to kick the tires on a trade
I'm still dumbfounded. I was getting so grumpy at just how poorly everything was going, then my jaw would hit the floor every time they would manage some sort of magic trick to get back in the game.
Devs look good, but lack of forward depth is concerning. With Lazar & Bastian out indefinitely they no longer have a viable fourth line. Top three lines are tough, but they will wear down with that fourth line playing 5 minutes or less every game ... And NJ really doesn't have solutions in the minors if one of the top 9 go down. Great chemistry, great scoring depth but they absolutely can not afford any injuries. Fitzgerald should be searching for forward depth in the trade market now, before it hits emergency status.
I think with this one, no one really expected the Devils to win both games against Florida. They beat them on Tuesday, and tonight. They outscored Florida 10-3 in the 2 games as well.
I so appreciate these Shannon. I am frustrated, but glad the Oilers, are winning ugly. You damn well have too. We certainly arean't as pretty as we were last year, but we seem a lot tougher.
Sadly I think it’s a matter of when, not if, at this point for Jim Montgomery… Idk if I totally agree, but I get closer and closer to agreeing as each game passes. Seems like he can not get a tune out of them for whatever reason, which is a shame because I really like him and I don’t think he’s gotten enough credit for Boston’s success the last couple years
Regarding Minnesota, the next statement game is upon us Dallas is playing good hockey, will Minnesota make a statement, until the Wild move MOJO off the second line I like Dallas, I believe the Wild will make a Deal for Brock Nelson, to solidify the top 6, which in my estimate will make The WILD a cup contender, Denny from WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SMOKING
I hope the jets can bounce back. It'll be very hard though, as florida will be more desperate. The power play looked awful. 1 shot in 4 attempts. I hope it doesn't fall to earth now that's the last thing I need
There was just no offense tonight other than into the third period. It was backcheck city with the odd breakaway opportunity, and Michkov wasn't looking too great on the backcheck
Bullshit penalty shot goal for Dallas, missed 5 minute boarding major on Benn and a missed slew foot by Robertson on McAvoy If those calls were made correctly the score would be different. This league is a joke and they don’t care about player safety
Bruins are cooked. Finished. We have the worst PP in the entire league, and everything else is on the bottom of the stats. How pathetic. I'm just about ready to stop watching them for the rest of the year and hope they have a new coach and an actual hockey team.
Devils are looking really scary. Seems like they have got it together. They have everything. Speed, toughness, Goaltending and heart.

What a great night in hockey to have two of the greatest players in our generation, McDavid and Vasilevskiy reach huge milestones at incredible speeds
As a Leafs fan, I'm just glad McDavid got to 1000 points tonight and not Saturday against Toronto.
I only watched the highlights but there was nearly 2 uninterrupted minutes of "Draisaitl to McDavid to Draisaitl..." they just willed it.
26:50
You’ve seen it once, you’ve seen it 1000 times
Love the effort from those Devils these last two games

Fedotov was amazing and Ullmark sucked, props to the Flyers for pulling out the W and taking advantage
@@eliaminator2313What is it with the Sens that makes every goalie play like absolute trash for them? It’s truly baffling.
Dallas needed to get slapped in the mouth by the Jets to wake up. Offense is firing on all cylinders
The fact that suter played 33:06 at 39 is wild first time over 30 in 5 years
I just learned that Bobby Brink, who you said ought to be a Bruin, has the middle name "Orr."
Great work by the Sabres to not lose their wits after that horrendous no-goal ruling, very mature for a young team.
Also the St Louis 2nd goal was interference when Kyrou blocked Bryson out of the play, but that is not reviewable.

Gretzky also scored that many when goalies played standing up. Lol. It was almost a different sport.
The irony ...
McDavid is the 99th player to reach 1000 pts . 4th fastest .
Also Vasilevsky fastest tender to reach 300 wins .

What exactly is ironic about that? Words mean things :p
Love the Islanders jersey.
Big Mac knocked Gadjovich out of the game in that fight, so yeah, win goes to Mac. Most likely a minor concussion
Agreed that Macdermid got the better of Gadjovich. It was a good scrap for both guys though.
@kradz5172 agreed bro, Gadjovich has to be one tired man after those 2 fights in back to back games against the Devils.

Canucks are either going to be a first round exit or a team that misses the playoffs with how they play some games

That was the worst performance by the Canucks since 22-23

A lot penalty mins for Philly, and he doesn't play on the PK
The Stars, once again, absolutely COOK another opponent as they sweep the season series of the Bruins for the first time since the 2000-2001 season!
