Black out poetry project with The Craft Corner

Come join me for a black out poetry project. This video is one that I created for an online art class I taught a few years ago but I thought I would share it with you guys in case it could inspire a simple craft project for you
I love black out poetry, its a brilliant project to do, especially with teenagers, you could introduce it in English class with your students or I have also used it when teaching an art therapy class.
People will be drawn to certain words and phrases, no matter the page that they start with
And its really amazing the poems that come out of this project
I hope you find this project useful and it inspires a moment of creativity in your life
Materials you will need:
A book page or magazine or newspaper page with text only on it
A black marker, permanent is preferable
A scissors if you want to cut them out
Notebook, I like to make artworks from mine and add them to one of my notebooks
That's it really, of course you can add more detail, paints, colour etc, to yours but with those simple materials above you can start your black out poetry project today
