Just picked one of these up in .177 as I love the looks for a bullpup, mine had flyers and also intermittent notchy pellet loading from the mag to the barrel which coincided with a flyer. I solved it by stripping the mag and taking the sharp edge of the ledge the pellet rest on and the internal side of the hole in the mag that the pellets comes out of. Instantly solved the issue. On a side note the barrel and rifling are really nice and much better than I expected and is smooth all the way through, the trigger also adjusted to a very nice trigger. I still think the same way I used to tho and that’s these Chinese and Turkish rifles can be amazing but only if you don’t mind fettling them.
Good morning everyone. Thanks Andy and the AAR team for another great video. It’s a shame that rifle needs so much time and effort to get it to shoot straight. I just can’t see the target audience that a rifle at that price point is aimed at having the patience to sit pellet testing cleaning and leading in, which in general are usually actions performed by more serious target shooters, non of which will be using a £500ish rifle. Especially when you consider you can pick up a full gamo phox or gx40 package and get better results straight out of the box. I always admire Andy’s ability and willingness to always try to give the benefit of doubt and not just call a product 5h1t.
Totally agree. I really want a bullpup and I love the form factor of this one in particular, but it's a very hard sell with the listed issues so I'm also leaning towards a Gamo (GX-40 or 250). I feel Andy's review would have been a lot less forgiving if this was a standard rifle form factor.. but I understand the allure.
It is actually (not intentionally) targeted to DIY guys! If You take it apart and smoothen out rough edges and put it back together You can get these shoot VERY accurately! You can make it Your own bullpup.
I have remington p35 in .177 and a p35x in .22 both of which had no issues sighting in. Its odd that Andy tested the snowpeak p35 and had no problem getting tight groups. It's the same rifle ,different stocks. I've got a Walther lg400 and a weirauch hw100kt. The Remington's are not far behind these much more expensive rifles. The p35's are certainly not 5h1t.
@@vitopacini You pay ur money u take ur chance. For me the fact that the supplying dealer has had to “ orange mod “ them speaks volumes about the manufacturing quality control and the importers mindset as to the products they are putting to the market.
I just bought this (the full power Snowpeak 177 version). After the first 100 shots, it got very accurate. Now I consistently get >1cm groups at 20 meters using Baracuda 8 and a Vector Veyron 6-24x44 scope (basically everything Andy recommended). I absolutly love this gun. And for only 500 euros, its madness. Thanks to Andy for the review and the recommendations! :)
Every air rifle, or air pistol I've added to my collection, new or secondhand, gets the bore cleaned, so you start on a level playing field. In regards new air rifles and pistols, not one has had anything like a clean bore, which, at the very least means some protective coating has been applied for transportation and storage. Whilst some have been cleaned with a couple of pull throughs, others, well, a tractor to pull out the potatoes might be a bit over the top, but you get the idea 😁.

Seems like a lot of effort (and money) to get a gun to shoot almost as good as it looks. There are PCPs out there about the same price point that are easier to work with and are far more accurate straight out of the box. Remington has just about zero air gun (all types) presence here in the USA, maybe a couple of Walmart type springers, but that's it, and after watching this, it's not surprising. IMHO, neither a game changer, value for money or performer. As an Ex Pat living across the pond, I like to keep my eye on all things air gun back home and Andy, your channel is a much watch for me, thanks for all the work you put in and excellent presentations. 😁👍
The power will be in the 10's. Out of the box. On the rear of the gun is an allen screw adjustment for the hammer spring. If you turn it clockwise 3 turns the power will be in the 11's with 8.44 grain pellets. If you use 10.33 grain pellets it is just under 12 ft lbs. That's why it's in the 10's out of the box, to keep it legal
On a few of my snowpeak guns, which this obviously is, damaged barrel O-rings caused this level of inconsistency and accuracy. That and polishing the pellet loading ramp just before the transfer port. There could easily be a tiny bit of swarf which is nicking the pellet skirts and heads. Worth checking. This is a very pretty gun but I got my T-rex bullpup for less than half the price of this on Spain and it weighs half a kilo less. Most Chinese and Turkish guns benefit greatly from a bit of polishing and finishing. Pay half the price of something more established but you probably should spend an hour or two tweaking them. I'll shut up now
Rather than supplying a 'starter scope', I believe the rifle should either be supplied minus this item (which will no doubt end up in a drawer somewhere), or offer a more appropriate scope at a dearer price. Just my opinion anyway.

I have the same gun, but badged up as the Stoeger XM1 and the issue is with the mags. Too much spring tension affects the first few shots. I bought a single shot loader and the groups get much tighter.
At 11.5 ftlb with the 8.44 grain it will be very close if not over the 12 ftlb with jsb heavy’s and if you use Qys magnums it would be close to 14 ftlb

Lastly it shot all over the place and the power was very inconsistent. One shot would be 10.3 the next 9.9 then 10.6 with the same pellets. I was not the only one shooting it so it's not just me (I am no crack shot!) and nobody was grouping better than 7's and 8's. When you look at some of the bullpups coming out of Turkey at a similar price (even less as there is no wasted money on a rubbish scope) you would not pay this one lip service. Sorry - but there it is.
Morning.
morning all

i get where your coming from with the looks and build but this review is just lacking the normal ANDY ENTHUSIASM

The scope comments are the most negative I've ever seen Andy.
Cardboard tube and plastic lenses?
Sorry but it's just far too tall with the scope on for my liking .

Remington no longer exists, they went bankrupt in 2020 and were bought out, hence the lower quality. It’s just a name now, it’s very unfortunate.
Another P35 Snowpeak / Stoeger XM1 / Remington Spirit X clone..
