When I dual-wield it turns off the secret perk for some reason Edit nvm I just seem to have a low chance of it happening also if U off-handed it and two hand the other weapon it will still work
The item that increases damage with each different status on an enemy probably needs to go here. And then the ring they adds bleed to poison. Buff with poison weapon, and if you dual wield sticks, you can stack 5 different status effects on an enemy in just a few seconds. Idk how good that may be, but I’m definitely going to try it.
As long as it holds each buff long enough to actually apply a status affect, this is basically what I was thinking as well. Or maybe status build up counts for that amulet as well?
That necklace that increases status effects is actually terrible.. We tested it out on the discord and even with 5 different status effects, the flat damage/def amulets gave more damage. You get even more damage from the princess sting amulet if you're a light armored player also, a lot more.
Based on the armor set unlocking a totally new power to the weapon I bet by make a “build” for the weapon they mean there is a perfect set of items to be paired with the stick that either lore wise make sense or maybe a perfect combination of stats that make sense lore wise

It's great to know that I was right to hang on to it. Thanks for the head up. I didn't even realize that it was a quest item.

THEHK (hammer) - named 'thief' in the Adalúk tongue, this hammer leeches magical energy with each strike, feeding its wielder’s spells and gauntlet attacks” The name Thehk-Ihir in Adulak translates to “Thief-the one who”. My feeling is the translation is hinting at “The Iron Wayfarer” since he steals Adyr’s rune, also his hammer is the only weapon in the game to have all 3 elemental damage types (holy, fire, wither). I’ve seen him use both a wither and fire elemental attack on the Bramis Bridge depending on his quest progression. I also found a ring description referencing the Adulak language, “Adyrqamar Ring” which deals additional damage when two-handing a weapon. This fits well into a “Stick” build as holding it in the off hand will add the elemental buffs onto the main-hand weapon while two-handing it. My thoughts are the stick would activate the elemental special attack seen in the boss fight, but when I put this build together this morning it was nothing special. I feel I’m on the right track but still missing something. My next step is completing the Umbral Ending, which unlocks “The Iron Wayfarers” trophy coincidentally named “The last step”. Since he starts the game using Wither attacks, then Fire after he steals Adyr’s rune, unlocking his trophy might unlock his Holy attack and the special attack with his hammer while off-handing “The Stick” I sure hope to god this works 😬😬
Maybe the Shuja Harmony Loop pendant? Not sure if the stick cycling elements would count as spells being cast or not, but with that pendant...after each spell cast, further spells cast deal temp increased dmg and casting different schools of magic further amps it.
I'm pretty sure hound appears in Skyrest when you kill archer boss - Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds - not Congregator of Flesh. At least it was true in my playthrough (and I guess from logical standpoint, makes more sense).
I'll explain, the Pieta + Elianne sword combo is only possible after you get the Odd Stone in Upper Calrath and show it to Pieta. Then, equip both and press the Guard + Heavy buttons at the same time to do the usual dual-wielding combo but with an added AoE/Visual effect. Same goes for the Lightreaper's weapons (the swords, not the daggers as far as i know but might also be possible) the only difference is that you need to complete Paladin Isaac's quest by summoning him against the last Lightreaper encounter. The dual-wielding combo will unleash the fire blade spell like the boss does to you.
Id say there is a good chance that a specific combination of all sloots and equipment is needed to make it better. Kinda like the backrooms easter egg in remnant

judging from what it does, i think dev are saying that it is best off-hand weapon because you get access to all 3 schools of magic buffs by using stick. In summary, it is just support duel-hand weapon.
As curious as I am to see what buildcrafting can take place around the stick, I don’t think aesthetically I can give up a beefy greatsword look for a literal stick.
This is my stick build so far.. Weapons: Gilded Buckets +10 (Ativ, Ixon, Velox) Stick +10 (Velox, Ruq, Vaus) Lost Berescu's Catalyst Spells: Orius' Judgement Seismic Slam Barrage of Echoes Adyr's Rage Lucent Beam Armor: Failed Pilgrim set Tincts: Exalted Shuja Harmony Hoop Charred Root Ring of Radiants Preeminence
i think best weapon to use off-hand stick with is Judge cleric's corrupt longsword off-hand sword. The reason being is that Judge corrupt cleric's sword has 4 scalers, so strength, agility, int, radiance and it has 3 damage types, physical, fire, holy. If you get umbral buff, you deal 4 damage types with stick and since Judge cleric's sword has no debuffs, this stick makes your sword have all debuff possibilities. The build is technically is good in NG+ offensively speaking due to 4 scales on your weapon but because you have to use that garbage failed pilgrim set, your basically 1 shot. due to how this build plays, you want just stack damage modifiers as high as possible. I think the way they intended you to play this is to run Princess sting amulet for 25% damage increase, Charred roots to cast all Adyr buffs (Endurence, Rage, Defense) and Adyrgamar ring for 10% damage increase for duel-wielding since your forced to duel wield to make this stick do anything. in total, your get 45% damage for using all these damage buffs. I would recommend using Holy catalyst for Laceration buff which gives your weapon bleed effect. so now you have all 4 damage types, bleed and almost every single status effect in the game.
I just bought Elden ring the other day and i wish i would’ve bought this . This game seems like it feels more like sekiro than the actual game it’s was made from
As a physical weapon with low scaling, this should make the Stick much stronger. Princess' Sting will boost the attack damage by up to 25% on high enough endurance, or Scornful Effigy gives a 25% boost at the cost of 50% health. The Pertiax and Halsan runes can also boost damage while reducing scaling, and given how low the scaling is even at +10, that probably adds far more than it takes away. Plus, the Adyrqamar Ring boosts damage while two-handing and Melchior's Ring boosts physical damage. I focused on Physical damage boosting without stat investment because if the buffs are impacted by Radiance and Infernal stats, you'll want to pump those more than the physical stats. This is all theory-crafting without testing, so take it with a gain of salt.
god somany unique wapons that they all use default animations,no unique movesets,or special powerstances when duel wielding,it was a big bummer for me :[
Double wooden stick . Maybe it requires u to get the stick and do the quest twice in order to duel wield it to its best capability along with rings that might serve as a buff.
Maybe if they put fast travel in NG+ I’ll be on the loom out more of what to do I love this game, truly do. There’s some issues that could still be ironed out a bit sure, but genuinely love the game However I do NOT understand the no vestiges (except for Skyrest & your seeds-get a LOT of em I guess)-just don’t understand that one I’m betting there’s maybe another secret? I’m not sure if it’s a build that’s required-I’d like to find out though

Where’s that guy I asked about the stick in the comments. Shoutout to you.
Those who sold the stick as soon as they got it:
💀
Seeing as the equipment activate as a set, perhaps there is another item (ranged weapon?)
The stick also seems to be the only weapon that can’t be dropped
No there are a few weapons you can't drop.
Items ties to questlines can't be dropped. LIke Andreas of Ebb's sword, Makujins sword, damaroses cleaver, etc.
it can. my friend did
@@mrsundaymorning then your friend glitched it.
Iron Wayfarer’s Hammer also can not be dropped
I just bought Elden ring the other day and i wish i would’ve bought this . This game seems like it feels more like sekiro than the actual game it’s was made from
That's some well hidden secret. Thanks for the video. Cheers from Germany
Where’d you find the 2 rings I just finished the radiant ending and haven’t found either
I'm happy I sold it early in the game
I had a feeling pet the dog would be a thing, I kept petting him but didn't get any results, but I gave up after like 10 times
Using the ring that enhances the power of different spell usage? That's what the stick does.
I actually did everything correctly just didn't know you can put on the armor and the stick gets buffs lol
whats the armour set on the thumbnail
god somany unique wapons that they all use default animations,no unique movesets,or special powerstances when duel wielding,it was a big bummer for me :[
Loool I sold that thing with the quickness 😂 oops
Does the stick HAVE to be fully upgraded?
I got this item, and can confirm that it is indeed a stick
What hammer is The merchant holding?
Double wooden stick . Maybe it requires u to get the stick and do the quest twice in order to duel wield it to its best capability along with rings that might serve as a buff.
Does this work if you two hand the main weapon?
Theres a pendant i got that increases damage for each subsequent spellcast of a different kind, i wonder if it works for this?
I knew there was more to that stick than meets the eye
Now I want a stick only playthrough
wait, the last time i saw the merchant was at vestige of brother Jeremiah, after i progressed further, i cannot see him there
I appreciate the work put on by the devs and this vid but why got all through that if you got Lucent Beam just being cracked hands down?
Maybe if they put fast travel in NG+ I’ll be on the loom out more of what to do
I love this game, truly do. There’s some issues that could still be ironed out a bit sure, but genuinely love the game
However I do NOT understand the no vestiges (except for Skyrest & your seeds-get a LOT of em I guess)-just don’t understand that one
I’m betting there’s maybe another secret? I’m not sure if it’s a build that’s required-I’d like to find out though
dooood i sold that stick fuuuuuuu
I want you to read me a medieval bedtime story every night till i fall asleep with that voice of yours. Please.
If they made this stick have a similar push moveset same as those annoying bastards at pilgrim's perch that pushes you to your death (they are holding a fckin stick too), it would have been better.
I was specting that you can summom the dog to fight with you lol
Use the ring rhat makes you do more damage for the morestatus effects that are on an enemy and theres another item as well that will make it op but cant remember the neclace it is
I can’t get the invite to the discord to work. It keeps directing me to the App Store and then when I open discord via the store the invite isn’t there and it doesn’t show up
How do you guys find sectests lore etc? I saw first day ppl post about side quest. 2 nd about ng+ I m 80 hours in and can’t find a way to beat game. Can’t find 6th beacon
Thank you sir 🫡
How many times did you guys have to pet the dog? I've been petting him for the last hour and I still have no special effects on my stick
Same here
i was thinking the stick was gonna be good :D
I pet the dpg probably 20 or 30 times bc i felt like it was cool to see a dog as a friend vs an enemy. Now my dog is gone, and my stick doesnt ever seem to proc anything. Iz this another "umbral" ending to unlock?
Oh he is back? Did they bring the dog back w the patch? Am I blind?
I've been loving this game.
I almost sold the stick 😂
I’m screwed 😂 I sold the stick when I was new to the game 😂😂😂 I didn’t think it was needed 😐😂 I guess I’ll do it in NG+ 😂
I remember a ring that has like this extra damage for every status effect inflicted to the enemy. Maybe something around that? I wonder how much more stuff we are missing XD
I’ll come back and watch these after I beat Pieta. Been stuck on her for 3 days now.
Pieta is very hard for me but I beat she
She’s probably the only boss in your first playthrough that will require you to learn her moves, and time your blocks and dodges. After her, I was able to destroy all bosses by just attacking fast and casting radiance spells. She took me about 20 tries on my first playthrough. Stick with it, you’ll beat her
Just co-op
I find the stick in the first playthrough without any spoiler :D... why its so "good hidden"?
I had a feeling there was something up with that stick
My stick quit doing the buff after I started ng. Very frustrating
I knew not to sell that stick for some reason lol
Has anyone else gotten this to work cause i finished the quest and it still hasnt changed elements yet
Here's my build for the sticks
Dual wield sticks
1x mana regen on hit damage rune
1x holy damage rune
1x fire damage rune in each weapon.
Princess Sting Amulet - more damage the lighter you are
Graysons Ring - dual wield damage increases
Radiance catalyst ring - cast radiant spells without catalyst
Umbral catalyst - lost berescus
Poison Enchant
Heal over time Aura
Damage Reduction Aura
Diminishing Missle - reduces def and attack of enemies it hits, cast after 2x holy lightning and run in.
Holy Lightning spell to open x2
Items to use are :
Large Manastone Cluster for mana regen
Frostbite damage item
Unripe Berries for stam regen increase
Enjoy
You can only get one stick
Most of these spells dont combo lmao
@@resin4395 lolwut, diminishing missile reduces attack and all defenses if enemy. Orius judgement lightning tracks them.
Poison enchant gives you another damage type, and the 2 auras heal and reduce your damage taken by 20%
What kind of damage you doing? On paper this looks trash
