this also happens if you have progressed too far into other areas (more accurately : to multiple beacons) and did not light any beacons before killing Rector Percival. This game is awesome!!! I get lost. I get killed. I have to search and wander. The boss fights are fun. Everything is connected somehow. Where’s the DLC?!? ❤❤❤
It definitely has some jank, but yeah, people genuinely think this game is garbage tier. For me it's the first game in a long time that I sat down beginning to end.
Quests like this are pure garbage here and in fromsoftware games. The difference is, this game is also full of crashes, glitches, huge amount of performance problems, corrupted saves, the devs stole materials from the players and a long list of problems that Fromsoftware neve had. I could say the hate is totally justified.
@@lunaazul1569 what??? Crashes? Glitches? Idk where your playing or what settings you have but on PS5 with performance mode the game runs buttery smooth. I haven’t experienced not one crash. And glitches I haven’t those either…got no idea what your talking about.

Well, I handed the first four buckets in without an issue, collected the next four and tried to hand them in, but bucket shart won't take them. I just get a "..." even though I have the four buckets in my inventory. Cool game.

I thought the new spells were included as rewards for this Way of the Bucket quest but guess not. I'll wait on a walkthrough for that/those new spells. BTW, Liked and Subscribed. Originally I was going to include the footage of me running from the Vestige of Rosamund all the way to that bucket, but when i re-ordered the footage during the editing process, I ended up putting it where I did because the previous bucket is about a 20 second walk from it. IN the video I mentioned that you just have to go through the door that requires the abbot vernoff key, but I realize it probably would've been more helpful to show me walking from Bucket 9 to 10 if it only took 20 seconds lol. Damn' you're my hero! I loved playing with the bucket as a starting weapon but they were just too weak to keep. It was OK for the 1st bosses but not later for me. Nevertheless the 3 gestures to start the quest is really annoyingly silly as most quests in this game. Thanks a million sir!
I've just found the Percival one, I did Damarose quest but I remember to kill him after speaking with her at the cliff then I went to kill him and he after some reloads were at adyrs shrine but the loot was for me at Percival fight place 👍🏻 I did the infernal ending and I'm doing this after finish the game.

Where to get Crimson Rector Percival Pride item if Damarose killed him on her way to the shrine of Adyr? Just confirmed it doesn´t spawn. Also answering my own question: probably you can not get the item if Percival died this way and you have to start a new run
Yeah, can confirm that if Damarose killed Percival in your playthrough, you cannot complete this quest. I tried checking at the Shrine since that's where his body ends up if she kills him but it doesn't appear there either.

You gave me some real horrors trying to find that bucket 10 from 9:12 time stamp. It just didn't show a proper way to get from Rosalyn vestige which you said you were back tracking from and just suddenly appeared at the pick up spot at the bridge where we fought the Carrion Knight boss. You were going very good until then. I had to search for a walkthrough how to get back there again. Was very painful.
Question: So for my 2nd playthrough I'm trying to do the quests I missed in my 1st playthrough including this 1 and the Demarose, or whatever her name is, quests however instead of going to the Percival boss fight area I went to the Shrine of Adyr cave area 1st and then the Percival boss area and he's not there like he was for me in my first playthrough so where am I supposed to get that bucket? Because to spent a crazy amount of time playing for these quests and replayed the same new game 0 a few times so not having to keep upgrading weapons and stuff saves a lot of vigor

In their update post, the devs released a riddle. Someone accidentally stumbled upon this gesture and from there they were able to solve it by trying different combos

Wanted to ask a question , I didnt know this guy existed until this quest, so now i left Bramis to find him and find him i did, but he doesnt have the condemned armor or the bucket to pick up. I rested on the vestige to maybe refresh the interaction with him but alas nothing. Guess this means i have to start a NG+1 or does anty1 have a fix for that? P.S. I do posses the Condemned helmet for some reason, except if you can get it from some1 else later in the game, dont really remember. Maybe i can buy the bucket?
The guy was actually always there and so was the loot, but you just couldn't do anything with him. So it's likely that you picked it up a long time ago, seeing as you run into him very, very early on in the game. It is possible that you sold or discarded the rest of the armor, but even if you didn't, the only way to do the quest would be to restart your new game + run, either by resetting it or progressing to the next new game + or of course starting a new character.

Which bucket were you missing exactly? The Percival boss? Or are you talking about a method to get a duplicate bucket from one of the other boss places?
Do you have to pick the buckets up in this order because the bosses are not in the order that you'd naturally run into them in game. Is that just how you put them or do they have to be picked up in this order?
Wait wait wait… when you max out the bucket it gets special moves… does that happen with all unique weapons in the game? Like Pieta’s sword for example? Is that how you made it blue? I swear I’m learning new things every couple of hours on this game!!
I'm not sure about all of them, but definitely several of the boss weapons! As for the blue sword, that's actually Elianne's the starved's sword. It looks like Pieta's but its blue and it comes from the umbral ending.
If you're talking about the all black one, it's the free one you get from following the game on steam. Unfortunately it appears to be a pc exclusive one.
Nice guide. The quest might be bugged as I didn't get the helmet after giving him the second 4 prides. i do have the Bucketlord Shoes and the Gilded Bucket, but not the helmet. Sucks.
I finished the game at new game+3 and there was no vistage so I had to go the entire map and go back for some quest and it was very stressful so im not going to go entire map again for this quest until they return the vistage back

Does anyone know why the gesture wouldn't be in Pilgrim's Perch? Is there some criteria I'm unaware of? Game has been updated, I'm playing online, have broken bucket in my inventory, and did the initial interaction with the bucket guy of "...". Tried restarting, resting, etc. ..nothing will spawn the gesture.
If you make sure the gilded bucket is your only equipped weapon, press the button you normally would to two-hand a sword. It should put a gilded bucket in both of your hands. It doesn't actually duplicate it or anything, it just lets you dual wield it. I should've been more specific, sorry!
This game is amazing, however I hate this trend in soulslikes where the quests are so cryptic that it is impossible to access without someone to explain you how... they literally force you to lose content....
It can be very annoying yes. Like at least there should be hints that guide you towards figuring out something on your own, and if you don’t feel like doing it then by all means look up a guide. But you literally can’t do half the quests in this game without a guide because who has the time to figure all of this stuff out😒

You only have to do the questline on one character to get everything. Unless you picked up the bucket helmet and deleted it, in which case you'll need to either restart your playthrough or do it on another character as there's no way to get the helmet again
Dude I can’t do the damn quest because I sold my broken bucket. Certain areas in the game was super laggy so I got rid of armor and weapons including the bucket. So now I can’t continue unless I go to NG+ 😠
unfortunately you will have to either restart your current run (by completing the game and resetting new game +0) or progressing into new game+1. You can also just create a new character but that's annoying
Hmmm. Is it possible that you were doing the damarose quest at some point and skipped that boss, meaning he is no longer there to defeat? If so, maybe check some of the other boss areas like the Congregator of Flesh boss room.
Yeah, I got to lower calrath before turning around to fight the rector percival and he wasn't there. So I can't get that bucket. Its kinda messed up how this boss despawns pretty quick and then you cant do the quest.

He still joine the bossfights, but he turned hostile and is attacking me.. which is really annoying because now i have to handle with two bosses at one time. How did it happen?
What's with the prisoner upstairs at skyrest near the secret area? He just mumbles when you try to talk to him. Has to be something more their but I can't find anything.
@robertpayne6781 if you rest and return, the cell is open and she is gone, leaving an item behind. I think it was the jigsaw trap helmet she was wearing. She should move to Pieta boss area and sell stuff there then. There is more I think but that's as far as I got.
@@NinjaPups yup it did also i found it you can’t drop/ discard one item it gets rid of the stack of helmets which then in turn makes the bucket head fight against you in every single boss battle. Super disappointing that he’s an enemy now, wish it wouldn’t break the quest like that :/
That’s weird. Try checking out other boss areas like the congregator of flesh maybe? It seems you’re not alone, some people are reporting it doesn’t spawn there which is very weird.
You can equip both of them by making sure you have no secondary weapon equipped (just the bucket) and then pressing the dual wield button. It pulls out 2 so you can dual wield!
Has anyone else been unable to find a multi-player game since the update? I thought it might be my high level, so I went to my level 125 meta character, but nope, no game at all in days. Sort of disappointing to me. If I can't multi player then the game is sort of finished for me.
@@Emp6ft10in It was inconsistent. The multiplayer needs major work with this game. That’s my only complaint. Even last night. Tried to accompany and summon. But no luck.
@@whatsupdocx - Same with me. It's not a level issue, unless the only people still playing are like level 50 or something. I have a 125 "meta" level character that can't get a game, just like my level 250. Before the update they both could get games every 5-10 minutes.

You don’t have to take of your armor or equip the bucket weapon. You just need to have the bucket in your inventory

Why would you do that? They aren't worth much and you have unlimited inventory
I didn't get a gesture? Only vigor skull, and he was dead in the room I found him in
What runeslots does it have at +10?
All three rune slots are universal meaning you can equip any runes you want.

Can you make multiple quests at the same time? For example can you get help by Kakujin and get the buckets also?

No, you can pick them up in any order. Just only do 4 at a time.

Sadly im working on this quest while trying to do issac's and ubreal ending.

I don't think there are any plans to return vestiges in new game +3 and beyond. They are supposed to be entirely gone by new game +3, by design.
Doing this NG+2 was a pain....all the walking because I have so few vestiges...

All these buckets seem to drop from bosses that turn into regular enemies.

If you make sure the gilded bucket is your only equipped weapon, press the button you normally would to two-hand a sword. It should put a gilded bucket in both of your hands. It doesn't actually duplicate it or anything, it just lets you dual wield it. I should've been more specific, sorry!
This game is amazing, however I hate this trend in soulslikes where the quests are so cryptic that it is impossible to access without someone to explain you how... they literally force you to lose content....
It can be very annoying yes. Like at least there should be hints that guide you towards figuring out something on your own, and if you don’t feel like doing it then by all means look up a guide. But you literally can’t do half the quests in this game without a guide because who has the time to figure all of this stuff out😒
The armor removing is a lie thou i did it with full armor and he said the same thing as this
Good to know. For some reason it wouldn't work for me without removing my armor and I tried it on all 3 characters.
@@NinjaPups yes it's weird then again I also used every emote I had and used the new bucket emote last since I didn't know what emotes he needed and that worked as well 😅
Do you gotta do the quest line with every character to unlock everything?
You only have to do the questline on one character to get everything. Unless you picked up the bucket helmet and deleted it, in which case you'll need to either restart your playthrough or do it on another character as there's no way to get the helmet again

Dude I can’t do the damn quest because I sold my broken bucket. Certain areas in the game was super laggy so I got rid of armor and weapons including the bucket. So now I can’t continue unless I go to NG+ 😠

I collected more than 4 buckets without thinking about it and now how do you restart the quest ?
unfortunately you will have to either restart your current run (by completing the game and resetting new game +0) or progressing into new game+1. You can also just create a new character but that's annoying
the 3 emotes where all I needed to do, kept my armor.
I just realised that I almost upgraded broken bucket to level 10, not gilded bucket

Hmmm. Is it possible that you were doing the damarose quest at some point and skipped that boss, meaning he is no longer there to defeat? If so, maybe check some of the other boss areas like the Congregator of Flesh boss room.

Yeah, I got to lower calrath before turning around to fight the rector percival and he wasn't there. So I can't get that bucket. Its kinda messed up how this boss despawns pretty quick and then you cant do the quest.

Third item in the rector arena is not there for me.
It might have something to do with completing the Damarose quest in your current run, but I'm not sure atm. I'm currently investigating.

Go to him and pick up the bucket in his lap. If you don't have it, you must have sold it, or you're over looking it in your inventory

What's with the prisoner upstairs at skyrest near the secret area? He just mumbles when you try to talk to him. Has to be something more their but I can't find anything.
You have to give her the searing accusation item. It's obtained from doing umbral puzzle in nearby.

@robertpayne6781 if you rest and return, the cell is open and she is gone, leaving an item behind. I think it was the jigsaw trap helmet she was wearing. She should move to Pieta boss area and sell stuff there then. There is more I think but that's as far as I got.
She has a full Quest, and she's also a optional boss.

Last I heard it breaks your quest and you can’t do it until your next playthrough :(
@@NinjaPups yup it did also i found it you can’t drop/ discard one item it gets rid of the stack of helmets which then in turn makes the bucket head fight against you in every single boss battle. Super disappointing that he’s an enemy now, wish it wouldn’t break the quest like that :/

That’s weird. Try checking out other boss areas like the congregator of flesh maybe? It seems you’re not alone, some people are reporting it doesn’t spawn there which is very weird.

You can equip both of them by making sure you have no secondary weapon equipped (just the bucket) and then pressing the dual wield button. It pulls out 2 so you can dual wield!
Has anyone else been unable to find a multi-player game since the update? I thought it might be my high level, so I went to my level 125 meta character, but nope, no game at all in days. Sort of disappointing to me. If I can't multi player then the game is sort of finished for me.
I've been trying all night with no luck on matchmaking. I have a high level character and a low level and neither worked.
It takes a long time for me to find multiplayer. I thought it was just me
@@whatsupdocx - Was it working before the update. I was getting invasion like every few minutes before the update dropped.
@@Emp6ft10in It was inconsistent. The multiplayer needs major work with this game. That’s my only complaint. Even last night. Tried to accompany and summon. But no luck.
@@whatsupdocx - Same with me. It's not a level issue, unless the only people still playing are like level 50 or something. I have a 125 "meta" level character that can't get a game, just like my level 250. Before the update they both could get games every 5-10 minutes.
