+TheXPGamers You actually CAN micro-manage your ground building and defensive troop locations. Zoom in on a planet, and there'll be a button to the right that you can click to zoom in even further. You can then move buildings and defensive troops to different set positions from that screen.
I'm not sure you can move things like shields, turbolasers, and power generators, but everything else can (and probably should) be moved if they're not in the right spot.
Cap, I suggest splitting the fleet commanded by Kyle Katarn. Three fleets are clearly not enough to handle the multiple fronts of Hand + Remnant. Besides, in the Katarn fleet, we have 5 MC90s and a large number Nebula and Endurance Star Destroyers, FIFTEEN capital ships in total, significantly more than the other fleets.
Personally, I think it'd be enough to create a few garrison fleets. Two Sacheen escorts, two Bothan cruisers, and an Endurance fleet carrier ought to be enough.
The jedi died so quickly because the enemy had commandos (which have sniper rifles). The commandos also destroyed your tanks with their thermal detonators; what looked like overpowered infantry was actually some basic infantry mixed with their very powerful commandos. Also, their buildings would have been destroyed by your bombing run, but one of their towers shot one of your Y-wings down, which made the bombing run contain less... well... bombs. Lastly, you said you wished that you could design planetary defenses. You actually can decide where buildings and units spawn on most maps, just not the shield and towers (probably because otherwise people would put like five towers and a shield at a chokepoint making a planet untakeable...)

Sindacco77 Infiltrators fill the same role as commandos, so they do counter them but the commandos could also kill them. A quick sortie with fast light tanks (like the T2-B) takes them out pretty well, but you have to make sure that the commando can't get too close to your tanks, because then he will attach a bomb to one of them... Air units also counter them (but they are much rarer than T2-Bs).
But you must remember, Rogue Squadron was a hero that Shack accidentally killed. There is basically no Rogue Squadron left with the death of Wedge and the Lusankya also.
It's because Thrawn was know to despise "super weapons" seeing them as a massive resource sink. If you're smart you can achive the same victory with cheaper, smaller ships.

I think you're right that your supply lines are getting stretched too thin. Money isn't really an issue at this point, but your overall production capacity, particularly for capital ships, is not enough to sustain this many fleets all on the offensive. I'd suggest looking at all the different fronts, and prioritizing one or two fleets that will stay on the offensive (the ones in the west fighting the Empire of the Hand, for example). Channel most of your reinforcements into those fleets, and then set up a few smaller fleets at fortified planets along the other fronts. Those fleets can stay on the defensive, backed up by the stations and weapons platforms, and so won't require the same level of reinforcement that they would on the offensive.
Wolfeson28 Well, he doesn't necessarily have to use a lot of capital ships, those Bothan Assault Cruisers are classified as frigates and have a bunch of firepower and 7 fighter squadrons, he could spam those

Can't let spots open up in your lines or they'll close in a lot faster than you might expect. Great vids, love watching others play this mod :)
at this point, you kinda have to go with this run and gun strategy, but try and take a turn after you take out those last Hand planets to consolidate. not 'exciting' i know, but it will make it easier down the road. imo.

The Hand also start with very few planets and are essentially backed into a corner in the outer rim. If they weren't as powerful as they are, they would need more starting planets or some other way to counter their handicap (income wise. Gaining funds is not fun as the hand. limited building options and the planets have mostly limited slots in my experience)
ok correction on the building slots, plenty of them, just low income for my games. maybe I need to go through and check everything is installed correctly
Shack the Dreadnaughts actually are much older than the clone wars they were already being used 80 years before the clone wars wich makes them 102 year old at the time of the battle of yavin.
If you ctrl or alt double click a unit, you'll select only a ship of that type (fighter, bomber, frigate cruiser, etc). Could help you select units faster.
Shack used a Blitzkrieg tactic in this series primarily. What I was most frustrated by was the fact that he played the rebels like the Imperial Guard from Warhammer 40k.
Bilbringi is also a level 3 station location you should really be taking advantage of. You have numerous level 3 stations that you aren't using that are far closer than Mon Cal.
Ben Quinnobi looking at my galactic map byss, kuat, mon calamari, cremmenor, sluis van, fondor. bothan assault cruisers are powerfull for the fact that they can be built at heavy frigate shipyards, and corona frigates can be built at level one ship yards. the corona fields 4 squadrons of fighters and wrecks the tie spam the empire fields in era 5. i earn 25000 credits a week and can now sustain heavy losses and still beat the ai in battles of attrition. i laugh at shack's motley fleet.
in my campaign the pentastar, hand, and remnant spent the entire campaign killing eachother while i picked off rim territories and consolidated power. as of now the hand hold like one planet, and i cannot see north of the imperial worlds, so ive no idea how the allignment is doing. only now are they turning their attention towards me, while ive picked off all their leaders and have like fifty new class republic capitals. i also have an expedition of 70 infantry platoons, 50 various tanks and twenty air speeders burning through their space alongside the lusankya, viscount, 40 corona frigates, twenty star destroyers, and 30 bothan cruisers. it feels so good to dominate. also jedi need a buff cuz 6 of them lose to a storm trooper platoon
If I remember correctly, New Republic commandos are just as strong as Hand commandos. Also, the reason infantry were able to kill your tanks so easily was because they had numbers and T1-B's are pretty terrible. I'm doing a Hand playthrough myself at the moment, and I'm having the same problems with the New Republic that you're having with the Hand. Oh well, grass is always greener on the other side I guess. One last thing: you're lucky they're using so many anti-infantry tanks. If they actually used their heavy units, you would have a much worse time.
That fleet with the viscout class aka the mon cal ssd is at a stack of 191 thats at least 3 fleets of 60 plus or if spread exactly 6 seperate fleets I would recommend splitting it up into at least 3 fleets and beating the remnant back also you aren't spread thin its just you grouped EVERYTHING in that one fleet
hay shak look at the old republic mod for Empire at war it is not finished the devs gave up but it looks very good you can only do space but its fun for little skirmishes vs wastee spac ect
shack the small empire of the hand defense platforms are hangers they carry 24 fighters but only have 4 mega masers which is about 1 empire of the hand corvette
hey CapatinShack i think after this campaign you should do a Pentastar Alignment campaign you get two super star destroyers right from the start i think
build a massive fleet of only mon-cal ships just for following your attack fleet(s) and holding the space above recently conquered and blockaded systems and build more mc90s for your other fleets
Hey you should totally check out the mod Star Wars empire at war: battlefront commander it's amazing!! Definitely worth a let's play, it uses the map from republic at war and has a bunch of units from the EU during the OT like carbonate troopers from the force unleashed 2 and the AI is hard af literally I had it on easy and they built the Death Star in about an hour 😂 definitely worth checking out!
CapShack, since AI in this mod is too easy and silly, how about some multiplayer campaign?:) I am all up for it. Have to say, after seeing few of your lets play, I DL´ed the mod and ran over galaxy as Pentastar on hardest. Was way too easy ;)
Modded multiplayer FoC is not impossible. It can be difficult to host games when running from a mod folder, but if you just install the mod to your data folder while using a VLAN client, it works just like hosting a regular game of unmodded FoC.
It's just a little bit funny to me also use nebula class star destroyers for frontline stuff the endurance has good firepower with more fighters but is not a battleship like the nebula
I think they still have 3 planets (judging from the 'major victory at...' etc popups). Because their AI is inactive, they'll probably be wiped out soon (they don't build any units and don't attack, so they still only have the units they started with).

If the Hand wasn't using their anti- infantry tanks and were actually using their proper medium/heavy tanks, then this would be much harder.
After This Campaign you could either do is a republic at war series or a different campaign in this mod on a different map

Why don´t you use Corran Horn (Blond/ginger, bearded jedi) in ground combat. HE HAS ABILITY TO REVEAL GROUND MAP for some time.
