Hate it or like it, BIC pens just refuse to die. I have one that lost its cap years ago sitting on a desk, untouched, for how many years, and it still writes like new. Is it a bad pen to write with? Absolutely. Is it something that will outlive you with still flowable ink inside? Yes. Absolutely.
There are many so amazing artists who uses BiC Cristals/Round Stick to make awsome art ... and I loooove it. Even Drawing with Waffels makes nice with the BiC ua-cam.com/video/T76LBw6fpjs/v-deo.htmlsi=FLSV4UWHPREJPkWx
Because you can leave one out without the cap for months and it will write just as poorly as the day you bought it, but it will at the very least write. Perfect for people that rarely write but have a couple pens kicking around just in case.
But bic cristal bold 1.6mm writes like butter. Also bic pens just hate death. I have one sitting uncapped for like 3 years now and still works but sometimes the ink doesnt look really visible
The uniball vision is the most disappointing of the uniball pens. And I've sworn by uniball gel pens since I was in secondary school. I still use the uniball signo consistently - a familiar and trusted fave pen of mine. Bic is like the Coca-Cola of the pen world. It's everywhere and it's meh. It does its job as a pen, I guess. I would love to hear your take on rollerball pens. I use them at work since I don't dare to bring my fountain pens along...Too many students have adventurous hands (-__-'')
@@lillabjornco Oh man, uniball is so good!! lol. Perhaps your being a leftie has something to do with it?? have your tried their Signo Broad nib gel pens? Rollerballs like Pilot V-5, perhaps the Lamy rollerball? Thanks!
Ahhh could be?! I’ve never had a Uniball that didn’t skip 😢 I have tried the Signo, but not the Signo broad nib so I’ll definitely look into that (I yearn to like Uniball 🤣). Also, I will totally look into those roller ball pens! Thanks for your suggestion 💖
It's fun to unleash the snark on Bic pens because they are such a low common denominator. However, they contributed in many ways to enlightenment and education in the 50's. 'Course, mud, pointy sticks, and cuneiform did in their day, too, and Newton changed the world with an abused goose and iron gall ink. He would have been delighted to have a Bic. In more modern times, Ian Fleming's favorite pen was the Bic Crystal. I understand in later years he blinged his EDC with a custom gold cap. Interesting video!
I've always had good luck with the uniball. I'm a manager so I do a lot of writing. I had to throw away a whole package of write bros I bought. They were good pens before the design changed.
Def would like reviews on best pens, would like to see a comparison of Tombow dual brush pens, Sailor Shikiori brush pens, and Mildliner brush pens. Also a comparison of journals/TNs. 😊
Hahaha I found this review so fun! 😆 Also, were you using a Leuchtturm notebook to test the ballpoint pens ? The bic and papermate ones. Well this paper really sucks with these pens lol They drag so much, it's painful to write. Try them on Tomoe river paper, especially on the new S one and the experience will be much different! 😅 Still not the smoother writers of course but nothing like the Leuchtturm paper lol
Yayy I’m glad! Yes I did use the Leuchtturm1917 - I have also tried them in other journals like the hobonichi but I just can’t bring myself to like them 😞
i loved your jokes. yeah, for long term writing, ball points can hurt your fingers! i evolved to pilot precise v7 pens, but they were messy and not waterproof, i do miss them for writing poetry sometimes, my fountain pens can't keep up with me either without drying out, so i'm going to hooded nibs. but trying to find a stub or italic nibbed one, otherwise i'd be going back to nearly ball point pen level, which is ironic.
Hi: Nice review and nice jokes. Being a lefty myself I feel the “pen pain,” and I probably have the worst handwriting in the known world. I also had a second grade teacher that tried to switch me over to right hand. There’s the three flavors of left handed writers….the hooker, the dragger, and the tilter. I’m definitely a dragger….the one with the thick cake of graphite/ink on the pad of my hand. The best pen I’ve found is the Zebra Sarasa Dry X20. 😊👍😊
@@lillabjornco You are definitely a tilter. You turn your paper as you write. The hooker writes from above and the hand hooks/curves down while writing. My wife is a lefty as well and is also a tilter as you are. Her paper is nearly upside down. 😊 The draggers, like me, are the worst! 😬
Crazy thing is that I hate the BIC but I’ll always keep it on me when other people ask to borrow a pen LMAO Nice review btw! Love the narration and comparisons

This is hilarious and so true 🤣 the BIC pen is here to STAY
One of my best handwritings is when I write with bic pens lol (but you have to have super smooth not toothy paper, otherwise....forget it 😅)
The Papermate Write Bros ink, looks like my grandma's pen from 1936
This made me cackle 🤣🤣
An artist I love called Sara Fabrizi uses bic pens in her artwork. 💖
Danggg my respect for her 📈 Thanks for sharing 😇

Yeah, I'm surprised I said that too LMAO
“id rather write in my own blood” about the bic crystal made me a subscriber
Thanks Scrotum Joe! 😁
No but fr how can anyone like the Bic Cristal?
It actually has some die-hard fans (couldn't be me)
Sometimes you need to understand what is a piece of crap to understand how great our pen is.😂
That is so inspirational 🤩🤣

I don’t like Uniball pens in general so my expectations were pretty low 🤣 Are there any roller ball pens you’d like my to test specifically? 🤍😇

The Papermate Write Bros. is why I have anxiety....
For real! I feel like I’m entitled to some sort of compensation for the emotional damage it caused 🤣
LOL YES! @@lillabjornco
Disappointed with the BIC 🙃 I don't know if you can get a hold of it or not, try to use the Pentonic.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll look into the Pentonic 😇👍

Yesss!! I plan to make a highest rated video! Stay tuned 😉
The Bic Crystal is for when you have to sign something and you can't use a gel pen or when someone needs to borrow a pen or for nostalgia.
That is so accurate haha!
I genuinely quite like the uniball vision, I'd take it over a bic crystal any day.
I'd take anything over the BIC Cristal honestly haha 🤣

Yes of course!! 😇
