It's like working out or anything else, you have to fall in love with how the day to day feels because you're never going to wake up and feel how you think you're going to in your head
I love how bro just rambles the whole video and doesn’t even get to the point he started talking about, but at the same time it’s still so fun to watch and I do end up feeling like I learned something
Mans goes through all that trouble to make his mic audio sound so crisp and bombards the videos with peaked out sound bites lol. ILY man keep doing you
I've essentially had the same style since I was in high school, it's just matured over the years. I'm just a basic guy. I wear the basics and nothing more. I don't like accessories, I don't really like layering, and I'm not really into graphics or patterns anymore. After losing a bunch of weight a couple years ago and now replacing all of my clothes that are too big or too old, it's all about getting the right fit, which is harder than one would think. Plus I pretty much only buy second hand at this point, fast fashion is a last resort. XD
You said some truly philosophical shit and I know for sure you've read books like be here now by Ram Dass or the power of now by Eckhart Tolle. If you haven't I'm truly impressed. I’ve been thinking about “my style” all the time. Doing all of these quizzes, analyzing my wardrobe. And just struggling. So now I decided to not care about style at all. Thinking only about what I want to wear today, how I feel now.Even If it’s not “my style”. But doing that I am recognizing “my style”. Because I wear what I feel, and not what I calculate
Okay so basically what you’re saying is that if I feel really good about my recent purchases and fits going into this lovely fall season I’m about to get absolutely cooked by my own subconscious? Well, there’s no stopping it. I continue down the path
I've noticed a lot of insta influencers are very trendy, and you could just tell a lot of their clothes are made of polyester. If they took the time to just thrift an older high-quality pair of jeans or other stable item it would instantly give them more "style". (At least mix-matching fast-fashion if need be with timeless pieces). Not the mention the uniqueness of clothing items found with thrifting could elevate someone's style instantly. Basically lots of people are giving me taobao and shein when really DIY and slow, meticulous searching is the key. It's also a thing to just even have a source of inspiration really. What references are you making specifically rather than what are you taking from what's popular on instagram? At least take inspiration from different eras, music/art, and philosophies of life and be genuine. It can start from the media you consume. Maybe looking at physical media (magazines) and go from there. Everyone is different and unique and you have the power to express it.
Good things take time, but just taking time doesnt always good things. Taking time with actionable frequent feedback equals good thing usually. Also love the audio
