Wonderful Information! I love pouring paint and medium.........and yes....there is some waste.....but the final effect is worth it! And I've learned to be creative in saving some of it, when I can....too!
WOW, there sure are a lot of 'HATERS' out there! This is a preview of a workshop video through the artistnetwork, as stated in the info section of the video, so of course all the information of the items she is using are not listed/stated. Now, although I would agree that this is not the best video...preview, this is a 'DEMO'. So for anyone who has ever done even one demo for learning purposes, this is still a pretty good amount of information to get ideas started. I would also say that yeah, it does seem she is wasteful, but she does work for Golden and you do tend to use a lot of a medium to cover even a small area to get the look or effect.
Hi there! Thanks for your interest in Patti's video. While this is just a preview of the full-length video playing on ArtistsNetwork.tv that lists and details her materials, I hope it has been inspiring. You can also see her full list of materials by clicking on the See Materials/Encaustic Recipes link at ArtistsNetwork.tv. Enjoy!
@janetgeorgeART ...When you go to ArtistsNetwork.tv, you'll find Patti's video by using the Workshops by Artist dropdown menu. Click on her name and her videos will pop up. Click on the video you want to learn more about to find the materials list or other info you need.
You are not frugal with your product plus you start a technique and don’t finish what you were trying to teach. Too fragmented and don’t teach all the process. Disappointed.
I appreciate learning about these techniques. Thank you!

Hello ..love your book
Line new GOLDEN éducatrice from Montreal Québec
Love the effect.
Do you need an isolation coat and matte varnish? I’m afraid to lose the “wax look” effect if I seal it.
Oh I wanted to see what layer you were going to do on the 'bugy' surface
i like ur technique
Drives me nuts at how wasteful this lady is. I do appreciate the technique.
you can tell she doesn't have to pay for the products!
No kidding! I cringe.
You don't have to pay for your materials. Do you?
Why don't we see a layer over the dry 'buggy' surface? That was odd.
I'm disturbed by how you spread the pourable medium right off the canvas! Like you can waste the product b/c you don't need to pay for it.
Those gels are expensive, it's ridiculous how much they are.
No kidding and especially for what it is and how much you can make of your own for just pennies.
Product waste in napkins = tears. An idea is to At least swatch it on another canvas or art journal to make up another abstract -.-
You are not frugal with your product plus you start a technique and don’t finish what you were trying to teach. Too fragmented and don’t teach all the process. Disappointed.
How about using a spatula or small silicone scraper instead of a palette knife? Not artsy enough?😋
I have to wonder, why not go ahead an use encaustics???
Really don’t care about this work
Click bait for artists.
Crap,really is.
jerk.
