Didn't Dr. Nick Die? - Dark Simpsons Mysteries
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 січ 2025
- In The Simpsons Movie, when the dome shattered, a huge chunk of it fell and killed Dr. Nick. But then who the man appearing in the most recent episodes of The Simpsons?! Is Dr. Nick dead? Who is this new man? Find out on this episode of Dark Simpsons Mysteries!
I can't remember when or how I thought of the idea for this video, but it was fun to make. Another twin, I'll try not to pull the twin card too often lol but Dr. Octopus was too hard to resist, especially since there was 2 different instances of Dr. Nick holding body parts. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more that I missed.

Plot twist: It was actually Dr. Octopus, who died in the movie and Dr. Nick is still safe and sound.
Oo la la, and Dr. Nick was the evil one all along!
@@soursimpsonsnah Dr.Nick is still the good one.
He'll never get that upside down kiss from Mary Jane.
I'd buy that
@@soursimpsons
Oh, don’t look so shocked.
Considering Nick’s track record with ethics, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had dabbled in cloning.
Considering his track record on competency, it WOULD be surprising if he succeeded.
Haha yeah, i imagine his clones would look like mr mcgreg
@@21stcenturymouse What you don't notice about his identical clone at first sight is that he suffers from the clone degenaration shown in Spider-Man's Clone Saga, he will melt in the middle of a surgery two months since his creation
What if he's an evil copy from a mirror dimension? You can tell he's evil because of the goatee.
Of course! Things are all coming together...
Dr. Octopus's plan to mutate Springfield... Could you imagine the horrors if they all had five fingers on each hand and pink skin?
And no overbites! 😱
Ahhhh! Run*
That sounds normal to me.
One things for certain, he has never died in Dark Simpsons, not even after Marge blew up the hospital.
He is immortal there.
Haha, dont blame marge for the explosion. Dr nick probably forgot to turn off the inflammable gas.
@@soursimpsonsinflammable means flammable lol
Dr. Nick didn’t die, he was just “very sick”. At least that was Dr. Marvin Monroe’s excuse.
You cant trust dr. Marvin, he might be dead too.
I wish Marvin Monroe would return to the show.
@@JRS06 Why?
2:09 Another mystery is in our hands! How did that woman turn into Graggle Simpson in a flash?
I dont know what you're talking about, graggle was always there!!
@@soursimpsons I saw graggle Simpson
I always thought it would be funnier if a large shard of glass landed in Lennys eye socket and he shouts 'My eye! I'm not supposed to get glass in it'
Lol, not if he had his omni goggs!
@@soursimpsons ZE GOGGLES! ZEY DO NOTHING!
Dr Octopus was unable to save his brother, so clearly he's stealing body parts in an attempt to make a new body to put his brain into. Spider-Man lore tells us Doc Ock does have a soft side for his loved ones, so I won't be shocked if Dr Nick came back with mismatched limbs and stitches one day.
Thats a great idea!! Haha, a frankenstein dr nick
I love the hidden Graggles you hide around.
Great work Sour/dark Simpsons
Haha he was always there
In an episode from one of the recent seasons, imposter Nick is seen with a 3 minute sex change booth, which is 57min faster than what one of his previous billboards announced.
One explanation of how the real Nick could've survived is that he has all kinds of diseases and illness at the same time giving him three stooges syndrome like Mr. Burns and making him indestructible. The other much simpler explanation is that the glass shard didn't hit him at all, he was standing vertically in a deep hole and what we see is someone else's legs in front of him, like the old being sawed in half magic trick.
Haha what an idea for a business! He'll make millions
This is the official real world answer. "The Simpsons' showrunner, Al Jean, has since revealed that the falling chunk of glass in the Simpsons movie only knocked Dr. Nick out, and he went on to make a full recovery after the events of "Trappuccino.""
Sounds like a bad excuse! I prefer the twin theory lol
The Simpsons ended after 8 seasons. The movie just gave us all closure.
So if Dr. Nick died in the movie, then he's still dead.
Haha i go up to season 10 at least
I have another theory:
Elvis' doctor has arrived in Springfield.
The glass shard actually landed on his hip not his heart so Dr Rivera had a small chance of survival as long as they stopped the bleeding and offered plenty of goblets of donated blood.
Not at all.
That glass shard looks like it landed on his femoral artery, which, for those who don't know, is an _extremely crucial_ artery that runs between the thigh and the crotch. If it gets the smallest sever, you're pretty much dead.
@@punkysnarks actually that’s a very valid point!
Dang, thats worse than i thought.
Showrunner, Al Jean, has since said the falling chunk of glass in the Simpsons movie only knocked Dr. Nick out, and he went on to make a full recovery after the events.
I never thought he died. He's always been a popular character so I doubt they would really kill him off. It was definitely just a gag for the film.
Yeah it was an odd choice either way
Dr Nick would probably pee in The Springfield River
Here's a mystery for you, Krusty the Clown claims that he can't read, is this true?
Ooo i like this. I've added it to my notebook. But i can think of a way to overcome the excuse "he learned to read at some point ".
@@soursimpsons Later episodes actually do run with that, showing him reading very slowly, like a child just learning to read. And he thought "C-H-I-L-D-R-E-N" spelled "cauldron", but he was able to correctly identify the three letter word that was spelled out before that.
This is the same man who was kept Homer going for 30 more years after his triple bypass. I think he somehow doctored his way out of death.
Maybe he made a deal with the devil, like Mr. Burns.
Haha, I'm surprised he was able to perform homers surgery
He just survived his injuries. It turns out that getting cut in half with glass is no more dangerous than being stabbed by a lightsaber in a Disney Star Wars brand entertainment product.
😂😂 of course!!
Dr Nick must have been using that hammock as well
Haha the magic cloning hammock
There's a simpler explanation; Dr Nick is a relative of Hans Moleman. Whether he's a long-lost brother or son depends on how old the writers want Moleman to be in that episode
Now Moleman, figuring him out's where the money's at!
Immortal like hans? Sounds possible lol
I think Jims answered it better: The Grim Reaper thought it would affect his bussiness if he takes his life
Haha Jims is a genius
That... actually makes a lot of sense
0:10 Hi, Dark Simpsons!1
Hello!!
Dude just found your channel, rewatching simpsons, love your content, going through your backlog now. Big ups dude ❤ x
Glad you like them! Welcome aboard!
4:09-4:16
Hey, you stole that dramatization from *YOUR* evil twin, DarkSimpsons.
I hate that guy!
2:57 that guy's moustache is HUGE! I never noticed that before!
He should be recurring
Wow! Haha i never noticed it either!!
Wow! Haha i never noticed it either!!
@soursimpsons Another candidate for Dark Simpsons Mysteries, perhaps.
Or Dr Nick cured himself with his surgery skills somewhere after the movie.
Haha he would try that to get out of paying.
Plot twist: Dr. Nick didn’t die, the glass shard just emasculated him, hence why he went into one-hour sex changes.
Hi Dr. Nicole!
Dr Nick Riviera is actually a Benevolent Eldritch entity in Springfield. He really wants to help people via medicine but backfires every time due to this chaotic essence.
Haha i like that
Plot twist: They hired a stunt double that looked like Dr. Nick in the Simpsons movie and after the movie the original Dr. Nick was alive and well.
Haha, that would imply that everyone's just an actor, in which case they could just use the real dr nick and fake glass
I keep saying......The Simpsons timeline resets every year. So this is just a different Dr. Nick.
But if thats true, the could never reference anything that happened in previous episodes.
@@soursimpsons They technically could. Because dates can just be moved. That's how Bart's birth year and other dates in the show keep getting moved around. Would make for a good theory.
@@nakamaswarrior292 Or maybe rather than just one timeline that constantly resets itself they are co-existing alternate timelines, the seasons where Dr. Nick appears are timelines where the glass shard missed him
My brother: I gotta hand it to him. Tell him i handed it to him
Me: Okie dokie. **posts it right now**
Now my post
Him pointing with the finger on one of those left arms is evidence he truly is Dr Octopus
Haha thank you both for watching!
I wonder if Dr. Nick's twin is good friends with Homer's evil twin.
I bet theres an evil twin club, where they all gather and do evil twin stuff.
@@soursimpsons I'd go there. ^^
What about Bart's evil twin, Hugo?
What the heck was homer eating back there? 2:52
I think its cotton balls lol
@@soursimpsons 😂😂
His catchphrase is “Hi Everybody”
Hi User-Natsu2001!
I think dr octopus is gonna build a ray that turns birthday presents into homework
Haha he would build something like that.
@@soursimpsons true
2:08 ohh my god that lady next too kirk was gragle this whole time
😉👍
So it was an unfortunate coincidence that Mr McGregg met with Nick, but he was covering for his brother the whole time! They both cheesed the medical school exams!
Haha, i wanna see mcgreg beat up dr nick, thatd be one hell of a fight
Hollywood Upstairs
2:09 legendary pause 😂
😉👍
Considering the fact that he put that Snake wig on Homer's head to control his brain and kill Apu and Moe, Nick deserved to be dead. Karma.
Haha, that sounds like the work of dr octopus
Dr. Octopus's plan is brilliant. He's gonna steal a bioweapon Burns has called Devil's Breath, unleash it on Springfield, and then charge everyone for the cure as revenge on Burns and Smithers for never paying him back the booze money.
The only one that can stop him is a farting paralyzed man that swings around like a spider.
Haha i loved that homer spiderman short
Yeah, I just noticed one thing in Springfield about dr.nick and dr.octopus. Dr. Nick wears a pink tie while dr.octopus wears a purple one . 😁❤️.
😉👍
If this is Dr. octopus, then he’s not from their timeline or perhaps and this is just a theory, he is doctor octopus but he switch bodies with Dr Nicks in order to become the SUPERIOR Dr Nick!
Thats just crazy enough to work!!
Dr. Nick is immortal and can never die.
Haha, he probably has a cloning hammock too
Dr Hans Moleman
Yeah that bit stuck out to me - in the movie … cause ‘Matt promised “no deaths”,
And no “to be continued”…
His death was so random too, why kill of such a beloved character so abruptly?
@@soursimpsons good visual gag?
@@eclat4641 I mean, even if they thuoght the Moleman gag was too tired, I'm pretty sure they could have taken out a less beloved character like the Rich Texan while still keeping the joke
@@jacobovillamizar3363 *nods*
I still remember his line in the Family Guy crossover episode.
"Hello, Peter."
Hello Dr Nick!
bet this shady character comes from Shelbyville
He probably married his cousin too
Nothing is permanent and everyone in Springfield lives in an eternal hell on earth. Except the characters that actually died for real, like Maude.
She comes back every now and then as a ghost lol
_After Hours_ proposed a massive cloning program exists in The Simpsons universe.
Maybe this Dr. Nick is a clone replacing the one that died in the movie.
Clones! Its always clones! Lol
@@soursimpsons
Even when it was the bears, I knew it was them!
I bet it was just a perspective gag and the glass missed him
Lol he sure looked dead
Is no one going to mention graggle. is the best character
😉👍
I think Dr. Nick became property of Blockbuster Entertainment.
😆👍
Do you think there is something in the water in Springfield that changes People’s skin color?
Exhibit A: Waylon Smithers. In the episode Homer’s Odyessey Smithers has black skin. However in the rest of the show his skin is yellow.
Exhibit B. Judge Snyder. Whether or not he’s the same person or another person is another mystery, but for this one let’s say it is. Throughout the early seasons he went from yellow then to black then back to yellow then black again then for a while was yellow before finally remaining black.
Exhibit C. Lionel Hutz. In the episode the boy who knew too much and Burns’ heir Lionel Hutz was noticably paler than usual.
Those are the 3 most notable ones I can think of.
Haha coincidentally this Friday's video will be all about that!
Dr. Nick is the human version of Dr. Zoidberg
Haha you're absolutely right! How have i never made that connection?
Perhaps Dr. Nick is a better doctor than anyone gives him credit for, and he healed himself after he simply passed out from the shock of viewing a giant shard of glass penetrating his body?
Haha i can imagine him trying to perform surgery on himself.
2:11 Graggle
Hi Graggle!
Should apply the same logic to Moleman?
Haha I've got a moleman movie in the works.
@@soursimpsonswill it have a football in the groin?
I spotted Graggle :D do a mystery video on him
Save it for April, I say.
Possibly in the future!
Confirmed: Spider-Pig in Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Haha he was in, into the spiderverse as spiderham
I forgot he died in the movie either he got better or maybe he's Doctor Octopus.
Haha yeah, it was such an abrupt death too... no idea why they put that in
He probably got care from a better doctor.
Hahaha well said
If he is still alive, I want my missing limbs back!
Yeah me too! I was gonna eat those limbs
Why are there no Dr Nick compilations. I love him
3:10 I’m going to get you Spidey! Then I will have upside down kiss with Mary Jane.
Lucky spidey!
Clone somehow or multiple twins
Maybe able to heal at the expense of being a cheap doc like irony or something....
That guy with a leg for an arm probably took care of the original
Its always twins lol
wait, who's the little schemer that replaced the lady at 2:09 ?
I Know Now
😉👍
Unsure if you did this one but I have a theory that Springfield elementary is turning kids gay. Their cafeteria uses horse parts with more testicles, and that's good because "more testicles means more iron". This should naturally appeal to Rod and Todd because iron helps them play. And of course in a future episode, both of them are gay as adults.
Rod and todd dont actually go to springfield elementary. They go to a christian school
Who's the odd looking character sitting next to Kirk Van Houten, and I don't mean Luann?
Graggle Simpson.
😉👍
Who - or what - is that next to Kirk van Houten at 2:18? Not Luanne, the other side. No nose, no forehead.
That's the loveable graggle simpson, everybody forgets about him!
Continuity is not something that matters to the writers
Haha, seems like they comitted to it for a while and then gave up.
also sorry if I missed one of your episode, but if you never have tackled that topic before... How does sideshow bob have a son who seems to be at least 3 and can talk while Maggie still appears belowe 1 year old? Considering all Sideshow Bob episodes are canon
I was also surprised that he had a family. I assume he just left his family in italy to work in the states.
@@soursimpsonsi don't remember well it now but i think it was implied that he met his wife in Italy after escaping from prison.
Do you have any info on the alleged Simpsons episode where Bart Simpson fills cherries with mayonnaise?
Lol sounds delicious
He's a Doctor; he simply used his healing powers
Or Iron Maiden Jeanne brought him back to life off-screen
Hahaha, imagine him doing surgery on himself.
A Shaman King reference on a completely unrelated video it’s wildly unexpected!
0:17 that episode was before the simpsons movie
It sure was!
He's probably just like Father McGrath.
I thought he was dead!!
Underrated
Glad you enjoyed it!
Why does this fake Dr. Nick look like YOU, Sour Simpsons?
He’s covering for his father!
What about the characters that were climbing and fell?
Haha, nobody cares about them.
@@soursimpsons 😂.
They are my characters parents 😂.
Dr. Oct is actually Dr. Nguyen Van Phuoc I reckon
No, that's Miguel Sanchez
How did i not include that joke?!
Is Liberty-Ville Affordable?
Not in this economy! Lol
@@soursimpsons But everything costs $17.76. I wonder if that's how much the cashier charged Marge for those 2 grapes.
According to The Simpsons somehow He did survive and returned later on so how did return?
Good question... maybe the good Dr. Hibbert was able to save him somehow lol
@@soursimpsons Maybe and then laugh about it for some reason I don't know why Dr. Hibbert finds everything so hilarious Let's just say that both Doctors are very weird. No offense to actual Indians but Dr. Nick definitely has a funny voice well whatever the truth is I'm glad that He returned after The Movie.
@@soursimpsons Apparently Dr. Nick is supposed to be based on George Nichopoluos Who was Elvis Presley's Doctor.
@@soursimpsons At least that is Google says and it's just suggested that maybe Dr. Nick used some of His Frankenstein technology to keep Him alive but there is no explanation for how He survived and I know that it's just a Movie and TV Series and a Video Game and Creepypasta series but that has to hurt on The Simpsons having a giant glass shard get dropped on You 🤕
He got better.
Lol that looked pretty lethal
@@soursimpsons Twas but a scratch.
