I have the canon eos r, 50mm f1.8, 24-105 f4, 64gb card, 1 battery, X2 trigger, Godox TT600 speedlight, stand , and umbrella diffuser. What else do I need ?
This is somewhat difficult to explain or maybe not so difficult but you have to put yourself in the situation, the best thing you can do is use 3 cards in the following way, at the beginning of the wedding you start with card 1 and card 2, at some point, I do not usually wait to have 100% of the capacity of a card because that is perhaps too many photos, I make a change, card 2 remains the main one and I add card 3 and eventually when card 2 reaches a number of photos I put card 3 as the main one and end up with card 1 as the backup, that way you have the backup card 1 on card 2, the backup card 2 on card 3 and part of card 3 on 1, if you manage the times at the wedding you have not only a copy of the entire wedding but you have the wedding distributed so that if you lose card 1 you have half in cards 2 and 3, if you lose card 2 you have those photos in 1 and 3 that's why I use 3 cards, because if you only use 2 cards if you lose card 2 you lose half of the wedding with 1 more card you create like when you have the photos on a NAS
Best to bring three cameras. I've heard of three stories of two cameras breaking down at a wedding. These are DSLR cameras. So maybe its not as bad with mirrorless and the electronic shutter. Also I have extra gear at home just in case my gear is stolen I can shoot a wedding the next day. When you get to the reception put your camera gear next to the DJ or band.
