  • Guava tree becomes an excellent bonsai and doesn’t require too much care or maintenance. The guava is a tropical plant and therefore, it should be placed outdoors on a location that is sunny. If you live in a temperate region keep your guava bonsai indoors in winter. Use good quality bonsai soil mix composed of one-fourth part each of Akadama, Demolin Clay, Pumice, and Humus. Guava tree bonsai has moderate watering needs. The soil should never dry out completely otherwise the fine roots will die. Provide regular and deep watering when the tree is actively growing but reduce watering in winter. In fall, the tree must be monitored more closely and must be watered only if the soil dries out or leaves starts to wilt.

None of these examples have any bonsai qualities. They are just guava plants stuck in a pot. Two or three might be considered "potensai" only if they are given lots and lots of time and work, but the rest are pure rubbish.

0:19 (very good) , 1:50 (good start), 2:00 (lots of work to do), 2:40 (lots of work to do). All of the others are useless. Suwerte!

@@BackSeatHump Thanks gor replying ! I noticed that the on one 2:00 and 2:40 are already quite old (am i right?). Can they still be styled (or whatever the proper term is)?

@@apohimagsik5693 2:00 can be restyled quite a lot. But the basic styling of 2:40 is a good idea as it is. You only need to continue with that style. They both lack ramification but that just needs some work and patience. They can both be really nice bonsai with improved ramification.

@@BackSeatHump Thank you very much for replying. Its good to know that you can still do something to a "badly" styled bonsai. Thank you again !
