Immense thanks from Detroit. I don't regularly watch any channel but I can't miss one of these. Always find myself looking forward to it. Keep it up. The quality speaks for itself. Thanks again for the knowledge and great cinematography
subscribed..i've been dreaming the life you have..a happy simple, contented and self-sufficient life..watching your video is relaxing and i want that life, being in the corporate world for almost 20years. the stress is eating me down..i hope someday i can have this simple life
5:26 watch out those look like ticks nasty buggers to get on ya! Bloody unreal videos weedy, I'm always shocked by the cinematographic and production level in your vids epic job
I just found your channel, and learning so much. I really enjoy your content. You reminded me to a very good friend of mine, he was a photographer too. I have the same dream as you. I was going to visit him to start a new chapter in our life, unfortunately he is committed suicide last year. I didn’t had a chance to say goodbye. Thank you, I’m learning a lot from you.
With all the chaos and negativity going on right now, this is exactly what my soul needs. Weedy, you mean a lot more to us than I think I could ever express.
Ive been watching gardening channels for years and have never seen your channel before. So thankful it popped up in my feed! Cant wait to watch more of your videos!
@TheWeedyGarden well someday I will! But after watching a few of your videos today I can't make up my mind if your knowledge of gardening or film making is what I like best! Lol...Holy wow what a combo! God Bless you and Wendy! You are a treasure!
She is our mother, our nurturer and our provider. It is our first given right to take care of her. Oh if only everybody understood just how important it is to understand that and the correlation between our own well-being and health - depends on taking care of her - so she can excel in all of her glory ( Haha, getting a bit cosmic, but I feel comfortable enough to be my unique self with you by now Weedy David 😊) I layer my gardens, and they are thriving! It all started with your first video, my friend. I love to share and save your vids. Keep up the fantastic work! As always 💗🙏🏼✌️
Hey Zenni. I love hearing stories like yours. Thanks for sharing, and caring. I put a lot of effort into this project, and it helps to know that my efforts are appreciated 🤎🎥🎬🦍🙏🏻
One more stellar video, David. I usually take a more hands off approach with feeding the soil by just concentrating on chop and drop of weeds etc and lots of grass clippings. But I certainly can see that your bio intensive methods accumulate lots of fertility and it shows in your plants. I even wonder if these methods are even more useful in tropical or sUbtropical places since the soil never “rests”
I also continually “feed” the soil in the same way ay Siloe, whatever I don’t eat I put back on the soil, and when I harvest, I never pull up the roots. It’s all micro nutrients at the end of the cycle. Even so, I always serve a fresh plateful when I put in new babies.
Amazing video as always... ♥️ It always worth the wait, to see one of your videos/films .. it not just a video but so much more .. you are a brilliant fotografier. Thank you . Hugs from Denmark 🇩🇰
I have never checked UA-cam multiple times a day, until I found your channel. Your passion for nature, for becoming one with your environment is inspiring. I spent a lot of time doing what when I was younger. Just being out in nature. Watching insects and little animals scrambling about, learning where they live, and about them through observation. It was so easy I didn't really notice slipping away from that as i grew sicker and then fell in love with computers. Your videos help me slow down and try to connect with my environment more and I can't thank you enough for feeling of peace that brings me. I can't feel complete without feeling connected to nature. I sometimes wonder if that's part of the reason people tend to be less happy now days, I know it was for me. Thanks again. You have changed my life for the better through your videos, and I wish you and your family all the best. If you, or anyone else could tell me what you're using as a seed starting mix is greatly appreciate? I have most of the same bacteria mixes you do (thanks for those by the way) but I'm just not sure what to do with seed starting.
Love your ATOM bed David. Your perspective on nature, life and gardening speaks to my soul. Your art is topping up my ‘Mindry’ (mind/library) helping me on our Blackbutt patch of heaven. How bloody lucky are we here in Oz, nearly as lucky as our Kiwi mates. Thank you for these beautiful gifts David. Your donation of love and time to prepare each mini movie is fully appreciated in our home…even as much as ‘Miniscule’ episodes. 💕💕🙏🇦🇺
Thank you. Somehow all my O-factor senses work when I watch your videos and I can smell the breeze of the vibe you're producing. Blessings from this corner of the world.
I would watch your videos if you were filming garbage cans. Your talent is just unsurpassed. The fact that you are talking about the single most important topic, and bringing more attention to nature and the natural world... it's just ... muah *chef's kiss*.
Hey Weedy , so love your videos. Before you fed the raised garden bed any chance that you did a profile shot of the bed to show how the first iteration of the garden bed worked over the previous seasons and how it grew and developed its soil? Interested in how the woodchips are breaking down as theres often this thing about woodchips/sawdust taking nitrogen out of the system over a long period of time before it starts to turn into soil. Thank you so much for your excellent videos that educate, entertain and share your world with us all. Namaste
Namaste Robin. No I didn’t. I would have to dig half the bed out to get in with my camera. Everything in that bed grew very well. Woodchips are too low to suck N I think.
You may already know but if you bake your egg shells in the oven at 130° for a few hours then put them in a food processor until a fine crumble, then fill a glass jar with vinegar (apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar) slowly add the egg shell once the fizz settles add more egg, continue doing over a few hours until it fizzes no more. Leave it sit for a day or two and you now have water soluble calcium carbonate that the plants can use immediately 😊 The dilution ratio is typically 1 part calcium solution to a 1000 parts non-chlorinated water.
@@TheWeedyGarden I must of missed your raised garden bed video, had to go back and watch it, what grinding disk did you use to cut the tank? I have 4 tanks that I want to cut down but I have been trying to find the best way to do it, thin cutting disks just can't cope.
Wow! You've got a great creative mind and high level editing skills, not to mention your gardening knowledge and expertise. Your voice is so soothing. So glad I found you. ❤
Hey there Weedy Garden, love the videos. Especially love the quality of your editing and filming. Great production! I work in the Film and Television industry - Specifically in Animation and I just wanted to recommend that you consider changing the font of your logo/title cards etc. It dulls the quality of the production in an instant which is a shame when you spend such a great amount of effort to make your art look amazing! Anyway just my two cents worth, it's a small thing but I think it would add a lot. You do you and keep up the great work :)
I was just thinking this morning, that I haven't seen a video of yours in a bit, and bam! Here you are with a mother fantastic weedy garden video. Like another commented, I could watch your videos all day and don't want them to end.
I searched you out before I went to bed, and lo and behold- a bedtime story! Your scientific explanations, videography talent, your beautiful, calming, voice, and the addition of the views from your microscope just have brought tears to my eyes to see how you care for your bit of our Mother Earth. I am so inspired. With admiration from Maine, USA.
I love all things gardening, the out doors and living harmoniously with nature, and thought I’d found a good clutch of UA-camrs to assist on my journey, but you are my new go to guru! Your knowledge is immense and your presentation, in these beautifully made videos, is better than any film, ever! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, for sharing your love for life 🌝.

Well said buddy "Level of my wellbeing is equal to wellbeing of my soil" The top soil is like a cream of earth so if is very important to #SaveSoil
Perfect. Feeding a raised bed couldn't have been explained better. I use rock dust and palagonite for minerals and home made fish fertilizer.
Sounds good too
