You're right! I have changed gauge in my UV to 9 46 plus 62 for B string to reduce the guitar going sharp while hitting the B string. Obviously it's a common thing due to the scale lenght but many people are not aware of that. It's crucial element once You start recording a 7 string :)

Thanks! Yeah, I see what you did there! I think the string tension is also quite a personal thing as well when it comes down to playing the instrument easier way as well. I think I need to find or make a custom set that is like 9-46 set with lowest string having 62 or 64. I've been using 64 on the lowest string on my PRS Tremonti model (25.5" scale) around drop B tuning and now with your comment it makes sense to try that too.
