Thanks Derek, appreciated 🙏 I always try to avoid any 'dead space' on the dio's, easier when the base was a bit smaller too - just needed a little planning to get everything down in the right place. Thanks for the comment 👍
superb dio ! the figures are top nocht and very realistics ! the scenery is exellent and the base dio outstanding ! love it ! cant wait to see the final result ! till the next time mate ! jy :-))
Nice work. Look into using Mod Podge as an adhesive. You can thin it out and mist your groundwork vegetation with a pump sprayer verses hairspray. Comes in both matte and gloss.
Cheers bud! One of the things I remember when starting out & reading Verlinden books was they said to add levels to a scene when possible - to improve interest & detail etc... So with the smaller rectangular base......🙂👐
Another amazing build in the offing.....you create such realistic scenes using basic materials....great job and inspiring to boot. You deserve your 5000 subs and here's more to come...congratulations!!!
Brilliant concept! I was blown away by the ‘Ghosts of the Past’ diorama, but this looks really interesting as well. Love your work, and I have subscribed to your channel, so I’m looking forward to seeing the final result on this and future work. Cheers from Australia.
Hi Gary, thanks bud 👍 Really pleased you're enjoying the builds, the project after this one is something different for me......plenty of scratchbuilding(s)😁 Cheers for the sub too....greetings from Jersey!
Excellent work! I like the layout, the multiple levels reallly add interest. Looking forward to seeing this finished! Oh, and thanks for that link, some really nice stuff.
Great stuff! I look forward to the next installment. Changing heads to suit the story makes a huge difference - nicely done. Particularly interested in how those nettles turn out.
Cheers Andrew..., gotta love Hornet Heads to improve a dio & tell a story...👍 A little surprised with the nettles, some wire & 'felt type' leaves in the box, but no information....guide or advice how to best put them together....😩 Maybe it's pretty obvious, but for the price, a brief drawing would help.... Thanks for commenting 🙂
Hi Si, great update. I love it. I've got that figure book plus the modelling one they did for vehicles I think. I also bought that Ak book on vegetation. Just sunnit else to help us learn more. Some of the ideas in that book are superb and so simple. Hope your all OK? Looking forward to the next update
Hi Steve, thanks mate 🙂👍 Haven't really had the chance yet to look through the AK book properly, but it is full of great details. As you say, always looking to improve techniques with these books....whether things actually look like they do in the books are a different matter....😏😞 Hope you're well too, cheers bud!
I've seen several accounts from German infantry, Russian infantry, ect. that rockets left such smoke marking the position that it very quickly drew return artillery fire. So those on foot or in positions could only duck and pray while the rocket launchers moved on down the road out of the barrage.
Cheers for that, makes sense.... as you know the power & force of those rockets were incredible.... I’ll be sure the crew don’t hang about there too long then...😁👍
Fantastic video. Thankyou for sharing. Would you mind sharing where you got the foam from? I cannot find any that thick. Cheers. Oops just seen the links in the comments.
😁….Hi thank you, yeah it came from 4D Model Shop in London, great modelling materials store if you ever get the chance to visit. But have mail ordered from them too in the past - well worth a look👍
Thank you Stefano, not 100% sure on the grass, just some I’ve collected over the years. It would be something very similar to this kinda thing:- www.amazon.co.uk/Large-Value-pack-Green-Static/dp/B0002OHB1A/ref=pd_day0_hl_21_2/261-5293188-1571867?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0002OHB1A&pd_rd_r=bb74f7dc-2acb-4ad5-8322-16c4ca1dbd88&pd_rd_w=Y7RTJ&pd_rd_wg=270Tn&pf_rd_p=6b44b646-25d4-45e9-ab4a-a9115caba534&pf_rd_r=WS0TGVGHG4WP958KA96N&psc=1&refRID=WS0TGVGHG4WP958KA96N
Hi there, I've been subscribed to your channel for a while, firstly, brilliant!!! Love the whole presentation from the background behind the build right through to the excellent completion. Very interesting and watchable. You just need to speed up so I can watch more haha. I build dioramas and have just purchased the foam cutter from this video and wondered which foam you use? I use celotex, but yours seems denser and more suitable to the heat cutter. Love to hear what you use, keep up the excellent work. All the best, paul
Hi Paul..., thank you for that, really pleased you’re enjoying the builds...🙏 I got the foam from 4D models in London (brilliant shop🙂), here’s a link to the foam in the video:- modelshop.co.uk/Shop/Raw-Materials/Styrofoam/Item/Styrofoam-dark-grey/ITM7957 Hope that helps, I’m sure a quick google search will find it elsewhere too. Thanks again for the feedback....., will try & hurry things up a little next time...😆😆👍 Cheers!
Hi, yes definitely! I’ve not used it that much since this model, but when I have its really quick & easy to use. There’s a couple of different hot wires in the box depending on what you need it for, but I’ve only ever used the one & it’s been great. So much better than heating a craft knife with a blow torch which I’d done previously. Think the price was pretty good too👍
Cheers Ed👍 The plaster is just a cheap DIY brand to be honest...(B&Q in the UK), .it doesn’t shrink when dried or crumble. I think there’s maybe more substantial modelling plasters available, but this ‘cheap & cheerful’ dry mix plaster has always worked well for me! 🙂
Looks good
Thank you👍
Beautiful work as usual our kid 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🐑😁✌
Hey Neil, thanks as always bud 🙂👍
Great technique and application of various materials.
Love the way you use every inch of the diorama to ‘tell a story’.
Thank you.
Thanks Derek, appreciated 🙏

Nice work. Look into using Mod Podge as an adhesive. You can thin it out and mist your groundwork vegetation with a pump sprayer verses hairspray. Comes in both matte and gloss.
Thank you! I’ve seen many people using that in the past so might give it a go then....cheers👍
Nice job! 👍
Thank you👍
Very nice video on the used parts as well as on your work on the diorama.
Looks good and just as real!! Greetings, Joachim
Thanks you Joachim, happy with how its developing so far - appreciate the feedback 🙏
Talented man, from New Zealand
Thank you Michael....🙂👍
Very nice, great use of height to make up for the small footprint, I will be looking forward to seeing this develop 👍

What was the very first song? The Slavic folk sounding one.
It's called 'Russian Dance', it's a UA-cam audio library tune.
Here's the link, then just "'search":- ua-cam.com/users/audiolibrary
Congratulations for this diorama!!!
What kind of grass you specifically used in this diorama?
Thank you

Love the music at the beginning. Please could you tell mevwhatvit is.
Hi Alan, it’s called ‘Russian Dance’ from the UA-cam Audio Library....here’s the link:- ua-cam.com/users/audiolibrarymusic?nv=1
Would you recommend the Go Change foam cutter set?
Hi, yes definitely! I’ve not used it that much since this model, but when I have its really quick & easy to use. Just brilliant! Is the plaster you use especially for modelling or is it as you'd get for home repairs?
Cheers Ed👍

สุดยอดจริงๆถ้าอยู่เมืองไทยผมจะขอเป็นลูกศิษย์ทำเป็นอาชีพรวยแย่นอน🤗🙏
😁👍
Does that foam smell when you cut it with the cutter?
Hi Verne, it does smell of burning a little, like burning plastic, but it's not too bad....😦 🔥
⚫⚪🔴 !
look what the cat dragged in meant someone unexpected not unwelcome
I guess it’s all down to interpretation Paul, for me it could mean either👍
😛
