    Always love a Trader Joe’s food haul. Its strange they do not allow filming there.

    Always appreciate these types of videos. As they say, the worst part of being a grownup is having to come with something to have for dinner every night for the rest of your life. Every trader joe's is different, never worry about about sharing something that's new to you or a new discovery for fear that others have had it for years.

    I used to manage a clothing store. And the owners were a husband (Thai) and wife (Korean). The husband took me to Thai festivals and the wife took me to Korean restaurants. And I fell in love with their foods. It’s not always easy finding these meals vegan now, so I’m glad TJ’s carry them. I’m so excited for the kimbap because I only see ones with beef.

    I have had the Baby Bell here for at least 9 months, it is excellent! I use it in my enchilada casserole, my lasagna (top) all kinds of things, for the two dishes I mentioned I'll throw it in the freezer for 20 minutes and shred each bell. I emailed the company and told them they should make it shredded. I am definitely going to look for that Jam, I noticed it said product of Canada, their food is less processed and doesn't fructose sugar. thanks

    I love Trader Joe’s. They have so many new items. I have to go soon. I’ve been eating more Whole Foods. From the farmers market and my cousins garden. He just gave me a ton of string beans and eggplant. And I got a pound of kale from the farmers market, along with some other things. But I really want to try the new fish fillets from TJ’s.

    Agreed, Smoke Paprika is a game changer. Always have to order it on-line. Have you tried the Spanish Sweet Smoked Paprika? Good to know TJ carries the regular smoked. Haven’t seen the Masala Burgers before. Putting that on my “to try” list for my next TJ run. Thanks!

    Surprisingly, Walmart usually has organic smoked paprika. Japchae is one of my favorite dishes to make, it's actually pretty easy and you can make a ton all at once for food prep or for a get together.

    They have some tasty vegan sauces you might want to try: Tsaziki... Basil + Kale Pesto... Garlic dip... each one 8 ounces for about $4. Make great snack dips or pasta sauces. Mixing the last two gives you a creamy garlic pesto sauce that's pretty good on pizza or pasta.

    The Trader Joes' Vegetable Masala burgers are good. And the ingredients are healthy, potatoes, canola oil, carrots, green beans, bread crumbs (wheat flour, sugar, yeast, salt), bell peppers, onions, corn, water, salt, sugar, spices, ginger, cellulose gum, green pepper, citric acid, turmeric.
    Yes, we have bought the Beyond Meat products, before when we have non vegan folks over. But most of our non vegan friends prefer anything Gardein makes.😃 We also make our own vegan sushi which is so dang inexpensive and delicious.

    Nice food haul👍Trader Joe's always has a good variety of vegan stuff. I've never seen those burgers but they sound really good. I'll have to check and see if my local store has them, that sushi sounds good as well. I love that baby bell cheese, I save the wax and make sculptures out of it. I didn't know Trader Joe's was carrying that now. Everything was definitely on the expensive side but that's pretty much all groceries now.

    Bizarrely on the platform of the “Universität“ tram stop here in Bielefeld there is a Korean street food stand.
    They have had vegan kimbap for years. Great with vegan kimchi and some vegan peanut pancakes for afters.

    I've watched a number of other TJ hauls and the kimbap seems to get really nice comments.....I will try it.....someone said to add some vegan mayo mixed with soy sauce for a dipper. CAUTION: WATCH out on any and all kalamata olives...co-worker has broken 2 back teeth from appetizers served with kalamata olives--part of the PIT was left in there...just saying. HUGS TO ALL!

    Nice to see there's vegan kimbap out there. I have a Korean store near me but they always have either surimi (fake crab) and/or egg in them. And glass noodles are a good thing to try to find on their own and keep on hand for when you're tired of wheat noodles. Just a nice break from the norm.

  • @lacha608

    Looks like you moved past your no sugar, no oil phase? I like trader joes for some of the frozen fruits and vegetables, nuts, tofu, and occasionally a few other things, but avoid most of the other products. Too processed and unhealthy.

    • @TheVeganZombie
      @TheVeganZombie  10 місяців тому

      Personally I stay away from oil as far as making my own food. I never completely gave up sugar. I did the Esselstyn diet for a short period of time to figure out cholesterol but I never made a vow to give up all processed foods. Also, TJ's doesn't let me film there so if I want to make a video showing new products I have to buy them. I've already found two products that I won't eat including the Japchae.

    • @lacha608
      @lacha608 10 місяців тому

      @@TheVeganZombie Yeah, I was a little.concerned when you did the Esselstyn thing because you are already lean and it seemed like you were emaciation yourself. That diet even excludes nuts, right? It just seems too extreme unless someone really has heart disease, very high cholesterol, etc.. What's your issue with the Japchae? I noticed suger way up on the ingredients list and canola oil....

    • @lacha608
      @lacha608 10 місяців тому
