The oldest dog was 27 years old and vegan. I was impressed about this fact because so many dogs i knew died so much earlier with 12 or 15 years because of cancer or other diseases.

Thank you so much!!!! I will try this receipt. All my dogs and cats have been vegan. I also feed my puppy a lot of raw food. As I am juicing for me I take a pulp of carrots, apples, red beets, pineapple and kale or spinach, add peanut butter, cinnamon and chia seeds to it. But I also always add a little bit of flex seed oil or olive oil to it when I will not put peanut butter. In the morning I shred a sweet potato and an apple, add chia seeds or sesame seeds also peanut butter or oil. My puppy is super fast, has so much energy and fun!

My dogs are addicted to tofu...they love big chucks of it, they even eat cabbage. When i weaned them off meat they showed a little grumpiness and withdrawal for two days which is normal. They now love their food and i reckon they cant remember what meat tastes like now anyway. If you have a fussy dog just add penut butter, coconut cream or nut yeast. Thanks for the recipe!

Animals (including humans) have specific NUTRIENT requirements, not specific ingredient requirements. Proteins, vitamins, amino acids, etc are equal in their basic form, no matter the source.

Madam, I have a close relationship with the Lord, so He told me to watch this video. I have 4 puppy Beagles that can use this type of wet food. He told me not to worry about buying the chia seeds because He'll add them, and He's going to turn my white rice into brown. Overall, I'm going to make this today. Thank you.

Never use hot water directly from the sink...........boil cold water on the stove or use an electric kettle.

waakkeuppp thank you i use a dry vegan kibble called Natural Balance, and now I’ve been adding 1 tsp of homemade soy yogurt and they love that.

I'm curious to know - when you first transitioned your two dogs over to Mrs Plant's cooked, Vegan dog food - did it give them gas or bloating? Any farting, or diarrhea? Anything?

I am considering switching my pup over to plant-based eating...I'm curious what differences you noticed with your pups when you switched them over to eating this way?
I noticed a difference in their coats, but more importantly, they are healthy, Roscoe is 16 now and you would never know it, he is active and still runs around to play with other dogs, csn still jump up on the couch.

Hi. I really like your vid. THanks. My 9 year old (rescue) dog has fairly early stage kidney disease and I want to try vegan for him plus i am going vegetarian now so the meat thing is very hard for me to deal with any more. He does need a LOW protein and low phosphorous diet. I'm wondering about the protein in this recipe.. Of course if its vegan protein that may not matter any more but I don't know how that works really. Do you? And then I guess some veges have more phosphorous and some have less . Do you have any info on these 2 concerns.
You should blend the food before feeding as dogs cannot digest pieces of veggie or anything so always blend final product. Otherwise great video
T Redng thanks. Since it is cooked in the instant pot it is very soft. But I do give them raw veggies for treats. Are you saying that is not a good idea? Appreciate your input.
Processing these vegetables like this is effectively pre digesting them. A dog could not survive on vegetables that are not chopped up and cooked. They can survive on raw meat.
I’d rather give my dog raw meat than spend half an hour cooking it a meal. It would be interesting to place a bowl of vegan food and some cow bones in front of a dog and see what they go for.
I feed my dog raw meat, he'll go for watermelon or papaya over meat any day.

they do have meat in other ways, I do give them butcher bones with marrow and some fat on them. They are not deprived but live a healthy and longer life. Thanks for your comment.

If you make your dogs food why buy any. I have two dogs I make a batch of food every week and that's it I don't buy any and they are doing great. All processed foods have preservatives its better to make their food fresh from scratch.

I don't make dry food because they eat a lot of raw veggies like carrots, broccoli stems, cauliflower, sweet potatoes that give them crunch and clean their teeth. Also animals do not eat cooked food in the wild the veggies should be ground up raw and added to the cooked beans beans and rice. We grow almost everything we eat so the dogs eat beat, carrots, broccoli, green beans, tomatoes, squash and so on right from the ground we just rinse it and eat it, they do need cooked food as well we only cook legumes, brown rice, oat meal, quinoa and barley. All the kibble food we bought stained my dogs teeth really bad even the all natural since I took them off of it the boy teeth has gotten really white the girl teeth was worst but getting better with some coconut oil rubs the plaque is coming off and her teeth are getting healthy and whiter. Keep doing what you like and works for you if your dogs are healthy that's all that matters we love our pets and want the best for them.
I don't mean to be rude but dogs don't need to eat vegan food its not good for them in the wild the only time they would eat plants is when they feel like they are missing something

sorry for the delay, yes dogs can eat meat, and I do give them bones from the butcher to keep their teeth sharp and clean, but the vegetables and grains I use also keep them happy. They do get meaty treats. Thanks for your response, it was very kind of you to reply.

This is sad if the dogs don’t have any life threatening reason for them being vegan.
They are not 100% vegan. They do get treats with aminal products and meat bones on occasion from the butcher. But they are in great health and active for their ages.
Do you at least give your dog the certain proteins and vitamins they need from actual meat they supposed to eat for longterm functions? Consult your vet about this stuff too? Cool vid but stuff like this worries me since dogs are omnivores but not long term.

Dogs are omnivores. They have canine teeth, they need meat. A dog would 100% choose meat over this crap. And also, let's use this case scenario. If everyone and everything went vegan, rabbits, mice, etc would over populate. There would be an imbalance. Everyone would starve. I am perfectly fine with you being vegan, but dont force your beliefs on a being that does not have a voice.
Sophie Padron thanks for your opinion. To each their own. I have spoken to a number of vets who agree what I am feeding them is nutritious and packed with what they need. They are very healthy and as far as teeth they have crunch in the dry food and in treats I don’t really need to justify my actions to you, but since you feel so compelled to share your views.
I'm just saying.. do what is best for them. I respectfully disagree with you though. My dog eats a combination of chicken, bones, livers and plenty of other things including veggies and fruits! :)

They do have meat bones and some meat treats, but for the meals a they have super healthy meals. Roscoe is 15 and can still run and jump like a pup. Sorry you feel that way. If they were malnourished or sick I would re-think this but it seems they are healthy and vibrant pups.
