    Bartending is not just a job; it is much more than that. Bartending is a creative and professional craft, and in order for you to be the best, you must be connected to everything in the bar. You need to have your bartending tools at hand, have the ice prepped and bottles aligned correctly, every little detail counts. When you start your bartending shift your brain switches off and that’s when the magic begins. The 10-Day Advanced Bartending was designed to allow competent bartenders to reach this level of bartending, where everything becomes effortless.
    The course focuses on both the practical and theoretical sides of the profession, so you can take your abilities to the next level in terms of cocktails, equipment and ingredients. The 10-Day Advanced Bartending is the obvious next step for former EBS students and bartenders who have existing bartending experience. If you want to provide seamless customer service with personality, demonstrate your extensive bartending knowledge and practical prowess, this is the only course for you!
    During the course, you will study a range of bartending topics including:
     Mixologists vs modern bartenders
     Prohibition
     Basic molecular mixology
     Cocktail categories and families
     Advanced bartending equipment
     Ice
    Each module has been carefully created in order to put you leagues ahead of the competition.
    Our industry-leading instructors are constantly updating the course curriculum so you know that you will only be taught the most up-to- date tricks of the trade. At the end of your course, you will put all of your knowledge into practise with the hands-on training. You will create your own products and drinks, the ultimate bartending test!

    What was the cocktail being made with Fernet Branca and Maker's Mark? That immediately caught my eye!

      Hi Tony,
      you have a good eye ;) That cocktail is called "Toronto", and here is prepared by one of the members of our Board of Education: Johannes Kinch!

    looks fun, two things that rubbed me the wrong way though was holding the ice in your barehands. I don't care how clean your hands are I don't one somebody holding my ice like this. Also, when you taste your cocktail, don't sample it on your bearskin and then not show that you washed your hands right after...just some positive feedback from a fellow bartender

    • @EuropeanBartenderSchool
      @EuropeanBartenderSchool  8 років тому +2

      Hey Michael,
      thanks for your feedback (and a very good eye!), you actually made very good points ;)
      About the ice, we train the students to use either a towel or gloves, but in this video, or often in our training session, the purpose is to teach a technique - the ice wouldn't be tasted - and at the beginning we try to make it easier for the students to do it with bare hands.
      When we taste the cocktails on the skin to avoid changing the spoon, we always wash our hands after every tasting! It's not shown here because of the video cut :)
      Thanks for your comment, have a great day!

    Fascinating video. What was the cocktail in the coupe glass (covered in what appeared to be powder sugar)?

    • @EuropeanBartenderSchool
      @EuropeanBartenderSchool  7 років тому +6

      Hi Douglas,
      good question ;) It's a twist on a brandy crusta and the sugar is 'icing sugar' - the added starch in the sugar helps to stick it to the cold glass. Hope this can help!

    Do you need to take the 4 week course before the 10 day Advanced course? I can't take 4 weeks off from work.

    • @EuropeanBartenderSchool
      @EuropeanBartenderSchool  7 років тому +1

      Hey Bumbabeef!
      No, you don't need to take thr 4-week course, in fact there are no requirements to attend the advanced course. However, we suggest to have previous bartending experience to fully enjoy the 10-day course!
      Hope this can help, otherwise please do not hesitate to give us a call here +44 203 627 0292 or at your local number that you can find on our website www.barschool.net

    • @EuropeanBartenderSchool
      @EuropeanBartenderSchool  8 років тому

      Hi Peter!
      We are not yet in LA, but we are close enough with our Las Vegas school!
      You can check it out here www.barschool.net/ebs-schools/las-vegas-barschool/ - There are 4 different courses there (like the 2-day Mixology course, for instance), other than a 3-times world champion in flair as an instructor!
      The 10-Day Advanced Bartending course at the moment is available only at our Stockholm School, maybe it's time for an European adventure? ;)

      @EuropeanBartenderSchool  7 років тому

      Hi! Sorry for late reply ;)
      You’d did see a julep cup! The drink is a pretty classic sherry cobbler, the julep cup isn’t exactly traditional for this drink but the metal helps bring the temperature down an extra degree or two :)

    3:39 Are you training those people? I doubt ten days is enough to make them into classy bartenders. I wish more bartenders would be like the trainers but you never see those anywhere.

    • @EuropeanBartenderSchool
      @EuropeanBartenderSchool  7 років тому

      Hi iLoveTurtlesHaha,
      Our 10-Day Advanced Bartending course is designed for bartenders with good experience and competencies, which want to take their abilities to the next level in terms of cocktails, equipment, and ingredients. Otherwise, we agree with you 10 days wouldn't be enough to get to know these skills :) Our aim is to give our students all the tools to be the best bartenders they can be!

    I look forward to those times to come back soon, when you can have (or be one of those) good customers and have a great atmosphere, and the music is right, and you feel connected to everything in the bar ... without those masks and all the other Covid s*t getting in the way, I mean.
