so as a judge you sip taste all the drinks, and 54 countrys are represented. 10 drinks each is 540 sips. I dont care how small those sips are. You're wasted after that round.

i know bartenders that can drink a whole bottle of vodka and not even seem a little drunk.

Really disappointed tbh, I thought we'd actually see the bar drink mixing skillage from the competitors, not fast forward through it all and only see interviews.. Like, what was even the point in this

Reality show - (literally) 4 minutes of content stretched into an hour-long show. This is the reason they're so popular - they're REALLY cheap to make.

Hi Samuel, thank you for the feedback and you are right. It is a series and compressed into one episode for youtube. It has been aired by different broadcasting agencies throughout multiple countries but I've put it online so you could rewatch it if you'd like.

As expected the japanese guy won, while these five were explaining pi's relationship to the sun or trying to fancy up their bar with little gimmicks this guy was working his ass of till 6 am he deserves the crown.

the Japanese when he presents the cocktail brings my tears out. It touches my heart. only those who travel a lot away from home for so long will understand. and he wins I am so happy for him.

how can you choose 6 out of 54 with just 2 challenges?
you can if u know how to judge... u gotta take in consideration every little detail, from presentation, to garnish, taste, the meere show of the barman preparing the drink, the confidence, the treat you recieve, in this case according to the tests also their creativity, knowledge about food & drinks, how they deal with pressure, etc, etc, etc...
its tough, and maybe a rush to go from 56 to 6, but as i said, it is possible to choose.
I like how im here watching such class, such chaos, such diversity. Meanwhile, im in bed eating Doritos with cheesy fingers 🥴

Pour most of it, leave it for 119 seconds (they said it, not me) then top it off.
the first episode put all the focus on like 5 people and only two of them made it. The other four who made it weren't commented on at all
I didn't even realize my favorite contestant was the one who uploaded this! Maybe it's my Dutch heritage coming through haha
I was fortunate enough to attend the 2014 one at London and enjoyed ......... Charles was at the best. ....... What an experience .

There's always something so over-the-top classy about a Japanese bartender. For those who don't know what I'm talking about watch the anime "Bartender".
54 to 6 seems like way too far of a jump for ANY team of human judges to cut and feel good about.
Nah most career bartenders suck and have inflated egos; I know because Im one of those people. I could easily cut a group of 50 bartenders down very quickly, small mistakes can show that you either dont understand the intricacies of the craft or that you dont care enough to do it right.
Japan! Japan! Japan! yay! yay! I really enjoyed the video and all bartenders did a super great job. I hope they have a good year. They should also enjoy and visit around the world. congratulations to all bartenders the had participated.

Well Tipsy has got a casual approach thats for sure but you can clearly see he understands what he is doing so I wouldn't go so far as to call him unproffesional :-P I mean after all...theese cocktails are supposed to be served at bars in parties right...Tipsy's way of preparing actually looks a but more "real" if you get my drift...and there is boobs!

Pro tip. Every bartender should know to pour the cheapest ingredients first so if you mess up you can start over and not waste alcohol.

I wish I saw this before October last year when I went to Japan/Nara. I recognised the stairs he walked down, and the temple. Damn it. Would have been awesome to go to his bar soon after his crowning. Lol not the pregnancy kind of crowning.
