It was too funny not to be.
There's something satisfying as well playing as a historical underdog but still stopping a great power from taking their first steps. It was rough, but you basically kept Germany from being able to do anything eastward the whole game, so the great German vision was always just that, a vision. xD
That’s my favorite hoi4 gameplay tbh. Sure, making your country massive with a massive font is fun, but there’s a special thing about having a weaker country survive.
hey tibbies, have you considered a democratic soviet union run? it seems like it'd be pretty fun to see, and would mesh well with your style of going democratic and defending against enemy nations.
i don't believe there is a vanilla democratic route for russia
there is no democratic route tho but through some trolling of game features you can get comrade Kerensky, or you can play rt56 to get democratic russia. path ik which is somewhat democratic is rodzayevsky's russia
@@Me-and-myfam yeah, the in game feature trolling is what i was referring to. it's genuinely a shame paradox cut democratic russia when we have bullshit like Chile becoming france, but whatever.

Unless they changed it in the pass, you should always make classic offensive plan even if you only want to sit tight and defend. Planning bonus helps in battle, even defensive one. Especially if you have Grand battlepaln doctrine where second focus gives you like 30% or 50% more planning.

The Czechoslovak focus tree is so small and pretty bad. That's the price for being one of the first extra focus trees added to the game, I guess
A small tip for holding - don't forget to build up forts at the Zaolzie region bordering Poland and Germany, as it isn't considered a "sudetenland" region
Love The vids man, 1 tip is to be cautious of your manpower, especially if your trying to push (your divisions basically fall apart)
How come you dont switch the divisions' supply from horses to trucks? Also no military staff appointed? And no further doctrine advancement?
i feel like i’ve watched this video, or a video very similar to it (democratic czechoslovakia refusing the sudetenland handover) not very long ago. I specifically remember them mentioning anti-air, and needing to build up anti-air as you’ll be bombed to bits. Have I watched this video before (as in, is it a reupload), or is this video just inspired from another youtuber’s video that i watched shortly ago?
One of my viewers requested this video idea back in December, so that’s where the idea came from. It’s not reuploaded or anything. As far as I can tell from looking it up just now, the last democratic Czechoslovakia vid from another creator maybe a year or two ago, so maybe you saw one of those? Or you’re just having a major case of Deja vu.
I have a suggestion - Play as Turkey and set Greece to go venizelist democratic in the game rules :D

Hey Tibbies, the „Niederschlesien“ translates to „lower silesia“, and before you ask why it is „lower“, lower in the case of german regions typically refers to their elevation, so the province to the south-east is upper silesia, because it has more elevation.
I remember doing the Munich Disagreement achievement by basically only holding onto Prague and two tiles around it with level 10 forts, and then later when the Allies started to invade Germany and reached Munich I requested France (who was occupying Munich) to transfer territory to me and that’s how I got the achievement

The timeline was so messed up by you refusing the demands. Plus, Germany's military still was pretty shit by 1938 so it makes sense they failed so horrendously in the invasion.
Would love to see an updated guide for Bulgaria, particularly Prussia of the Balkans and Master Puppeteer. Still struggling to get those and can't figure out if fascist or monarchist is better.

I know they don’t necessarily have a democratic tree, but holding out against the axis could be fun. I always see people play the Tito path, but rarely ever the other paths

Please try the Road to 56 Czechoslovak tree, its slightly harder because you cant just get level 7 forts from focuses and it gives flavor alternative history
