500 miles in a $500 car --aka the dumbest, best idea ever.
The least pretentious, most uncomfortable, highly dangerous, yet absurdly fun weekend in a car we've had in a long time. Rally meets off roading meets hooning meets mud meets broken, dumb cars.
There are a ton of Gambler rallies across the country so if you're interested in being as dumb as us, go look them up. There's almost for sure one in your area. Go do it and send us a video of you doing a burnout in your 4x4 or high-centering your mom's Toyota Corolla on a rock in the middle of nowhere.

craigslist, or know a guy that has had a car for 20 years thats maintained it since new, and is just sick of it now. i got a maxima with 264k miles, rotted, but the oil was changed every 3k miles, etc. i pounded that car like it owed me money everyday and got 7k miles and even more smiles from it.

Mikey Knighty yea i know there are people who actually salvage parts from scrap yards and build something from random parts, but there are plenty of vehicles there that the mudding wheels they got cost more than 500$, for instance that military looking rv easily cost more than 500$ for just the shell probably

It is amazing the bond you have with a car that you go through so much with. Me and two of my friends bought a wrecked 2004 Hyundai Sonata and in three days we made it into a race car for a local track. That car got 4th in both races it was in. We all loved that little car and we were so amazed at what it went through. It is still running to this day. It got a bit damaged in the races and lost its rear bumper cover, and having already been wrecked in the left rear it looked bad but for a 300 dollar car, three kids and a welder we had a ton of fun.
