I'll also showing you how Ill be re-painting my crash bar back to black!
Also forgot to mention I waited 15- 20 min between each coat of paint

what kind of spray paint you recommend? high temperature resistant?
Looks good bro! Great video. I am about to do the same to my b8. I was wondering how the paint held up with the 2 coats of primer, 4 gloss black, and 1 clear coat. Do you wish you would have done more coats or is it holding up just fine? Also, do you think it is necessary to sand the crash bar down prior to hitting it with the primer? Thanks man!
Thanks man! It honestly is still holding up very well. I don’t think any more coats was needed or sanding. It isn’t a fully exposed part so you should be good with how I did it.
Awesome Video...I am in the process of putting on the RS grill on my 2010 B8...I was wondering if I had to place the car on jacks, is it possible to take off the grill without putting the car on jacks?
It is possible you’ll just have to move the wheel a lot I did it with 1” fender to lip gap

Would it be a good idea to remove the crash bar and paint it on the floor or should you just leave it and paint it where it is
I say paint it where it is. No need to remove it.
I used black plastidip on mine and I've never had any issues with peeling or fading. Didn't even use primer either
This is an odd question. But where are the horns located? I’ve read somewhere that it’s near the crash bar but I’m not really seeing it in the video. Can you confirm if that’s where they are? I need to replace one on my B8. Thanks!

Hey so aren’t there sensors connected behind the grill also? When I saw other videos they had connectors behind mesh area
You’re totally right. Forgot to mention that last time I got my grille installed we ended up moving that sensor towards the radiator and mounted it on there. But yeah typically it would connected to the grille
You should add a 3M tape double face (3M™ Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape)

you'll hardly tell any difference since it will blend in with the grille. But it wont look bad. i also feel flat black wont reflect as much when the light hits it
Did you just run a y pipe for the quad ? Do you need a heat shield?
no y pipe actually. i just got the right pipe welded on to the left with an opening in between. no heat shield... been fine!
@@Robbyrevz thanks for the reply, that’s exactly what the shop said to do for mine seems simple how much was it ? They are just throwing a pipe and welding the tips on is pretty much what he said

No it wont. 2006 is a different chassis
But you can find one with a similar style for your car
Question... So, I am getting a new bumper. How do I remove my grill from the old bumper? I have the same grill as you.
You unclip the old grille. You'll see tabs all around it.

@@Robbyrevz it looks like a small gap between the hood and the grille. Maybe its the angle but ive seen it on a few other similar videos and they mentioned seeing a gap as well. not sure if that can be fixed or just how it is.

Just deleted both resonators and the muffler. 2.5in piping and 4in on the quad tips. Wanna go full 3 inch soon so get an actual exhaust system

Bruh for the wheel well part that bolt 10mm bolt isn’t on my car instead it’s a t30 and I’m having the hardest time ever taking it out

Robbyrevz lol I was being dumb the screw that I was trying to unscrew wasn’t the one 😂I wasted so much time trying. I later found the 10mm bolt that I had to take off and it was a little smooth after that although I struggled a bit taking the grill off that was a pain as well 😂

Don't know about the B8 but on the B7 you can just remove the grill held on by 6 screws instead of the whole bumper.
