Imagine next week there's another flashback episode😂
There better not be bro😭😭😭
@@beantown4100it will probably happen
Yep, it will be, I bet it will be what happen with the Jedi the night of the fire, Kellnaka using his lightsaber and Torbin loosing his eyes
When the credits rolled, I literally thought, "Wait, what?" it was so out of nowhere, lol
I almost guessed that's where they'd end with the clip shown in the trailers.
Same.
Remember the hype about the wookie? So much for that.
He has a lightsaber fight in the flashbacks
Not really. Didnt really care
I like the fact that it ended the way it did. A throwback to the old Flash Gordon shows.
Only one person that did it better.
Brooo I was finally invested in this show when the sith appeared and then.....
… what are you? They/them? Xi/xör?
F* off show
but could you really take this "Sith" seriously? I find the way he moves just stupid and full of holes. Unfortunately I just couldn't take him seriously...
I mean its probably the only thing about this show that can be taken seriously, apart from the character of master Sol tbh
@@Charlie-qy8rbthey way he moves is stupid and full of holes? Wtf?
They did the wookie dirty, we didnt even see him fight
I think it was quite a good ending seeing kelnacca slumped in his chair, and to seeing the sith slowly decend being osha was SO CREEPY better than the rest but couldve used a fight scene yes
the slow descent reminded me of Baron Harkonnen...
I’m not hating on the show but I’m not really into the format. Release it all at once or just make a movie. This episode seemed like they fulfilled their part of an 8 episode story. Would have been better as 7.
Also having to wait until 9PM for a new episode is annoying as hell.
@@craftergamer9058timezones…
@@craftergamer9058 *laughs in pacific time*
Cliffhanger was predictable, they are trying to cause tension and excitement while only causing frustration.
@@nintendofan6499 Lmao having an opinion that doesn’t match yours is “toxic” apparently.
The plot twist is also predictable. The sith/whoever is probably the witch who carried her. Or if they are feeling stupid, the sith would end up being the same dude who helped mae, they seem to have laid some clues to that.
@@Lilac-and-GooseberriesI mean, I think your opinion is bad, and I enjoy the show so i'm not gonna bash you but I doubt you have good taste, not like this is a five course meal but acting like it's dogshit on a plate is childish at best.
Keep suffering I guess lmao
@@nintendofan6499 No you were having a tantrum because pretty much no one is liking this show as much as you 🤷🏻♀️
@@Lilac-and-Gooseberries I am, sorry you're miserable I guess lol
Such a blue balls ending
ya'll are unironically watching this? lol
I bet it picks up next episode and the fight is already over, it’ll just open with all the Jedi being dead or retreating.
Disney is the master of blue balls. So many saps follow this corporation.
The fact this villain gets a cooler scene than anything Kyle Ren has done is just sad
i mean we got really good memes out of the swolo
Ren was pathetic. I'm surprised that character has fans.
He force pushed the off button on the camera and they just rolled with it.
That felt like one of those endings where it's a bait and switch and when the next episode starts the guy's just going to escape instead of having some big battle. That being said, they also had some random side characters which means we could see people die which apparently is an honor lol
What would be cool, but they would never do it, is if the Acolyte is Darth Venamis (a replacement apprentice of Tenebrous, to possibly replace Plagueis, which ultimately failed), but this is all legends, but to me it would make sense if he was out with his own plans and discovered osha and mae away from Tenebrous and Plaguies.
But it's probably just Coral or Qimir sadly
Fun fact, Ki-Adi Mundi was not even alive at this time, he was born in 90 bby. Plus, his inclusion kinda retconned his dialogue in TPM…
No it hasn't because its not confirmed thats a Sith
That info was legends only. There was no specific canon information about his birth or the life expectancy of his species
1) he didn't have a birth date in canon
2) he hasn't met the sith and they didn't even thought of the possibility of them existing during the meeting at the temple but they explicity stated that they think it's a rogue jedi
I think they will have ki-adi do something later on in series. It’s only legends that lists when he was born.
Buddy, that was Star Wars legends we don’t know what year he was born in that was star was legends so it’s Canon Star Wars legends is not Canon
That Plo Koon has green lightsaber so...
That's not Plo
It’s also a female one.
It's like if in Mandalorian season 1 when Mando is about to be jumped by all the bounty hunters for taking Grogu, they ended the episode immediately after he did that cool spin flip into the trailer thing next to him before the blaster fire started.
Yeah leaving us on that cliffhanger was BS
Oh please that was the coolest reveal by far.
30 minutes of nothing and one interesting part just before the credits roll is stupid.
Whats more bs is hyping up having a wookie jedi only to have him in the background and be killed off screen!
Also mae suddenly changing her mind on the whole revenge thing even after having killed 2 jedi masters!
Ki-Adi Mundi being a cameo literally breaks canon as he was born in 93-ish BBY, which is around 40 years after The Acolyte is set.
Don't question. Just consume
Bro I was so excited but the end literally killed me☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠
Mae's Master looked soooo cool and looked like he was gonna kill Osha byt she's a main character. THE CLIFF HANGER
Also the episode is really short
Literally? You’re a ghost? 👻
@@Lilac-and-Gooseberries yeah I'm a force ghost
I think Quimir is the sith
I call him Jason
I’m honestly really enjoying the series. I think that ending was dramatic and terrifying, and hating on cliffhangers is just nitpicking.
That’s the point of a cliffhanger. It gets you excited and wanting more. Obviously this is probably what the show runners wanted people to feel.
Yeah, people are easily tricked to watch again if you throw in a sith doing a few sith things
Yeah but the way they did it just left me feeling unsatisfied with the whole episode
Yeah but 1 im not that excited 2 nothing happened in the episode so it wasnt deserved 3 if it ended with the sith floating towards them or when Mae found Kelnacca it would have worked way better than in the middle of an action scene.
With Disney? They never leave me wanting more in star wars....
Dude the training scene😂.... He didn't have to say tight like that near a young child
This ending was the equivalent of the second Hobbit movie when Smaug finally breaks out of the mountain and heads towards to the village and it's intense and hearts are pumping and all hell was about to break lose-and the movie just cuts to black. I saw that movie midnight opening night and people were actively pissed in the theater when the intense action was about to hit its climax and suddenly the credits happened and that acoustic song started playing, it almost felt condescending to the audience, and people were livid. There's a massive difference between building tension and teasing, and giving someone a bite just to actively deny them the thing until later. There's a difference between a cliffhanger and just simply manipulation. A cliffhanger sets up "something big is about to happen. Tune in next time to find out what" A manipulation is "Its started-and we're done. You get the rest later." It's lazy, and now we have to go into the next episode with it starting full speed and we've had a week for all the momentum to just disappear and by the time the episode comes out, we won't be as invested because we're not as on edge as we were at the end of the last one.
Well said bud
imagine the next episode is a flashback episode
Mae is the Acolyte, the Sith guy is the Apprentice.
Mr Sith is wanting to recruit Mae to overthrow their Master.
Filoni is the reason it’s not dark or gritty.
He’s open to R Rated Star Wars but still wants it to appeal to younger audiences.
With Filoni we’re never getting House Of The Dragon in Star Wars.
I was watching this on my phone because my internet is absolute garbage and I literally threw my phone out of anger when they ended it like that lol
Mae's master being her resource guy, could makes sense. Because if you compare him and the mysterious Sith Lord. They both have around the same height and their physic seem similar too.
Yet I could be wrong and be overthinking it, but still its possible
If they wanted a cliffhanger, here's what they should've done:
Make it cut after May says "My master. He's here". This would've set an atmosphere for what the next episode would be like with the sun setting and the tone presented in May's voice, as well as some confusion and intrigue. It would make people say 'I wanna watch the next episode!'.
Instead, they cut after getting into the climax of the episode. Clone Wars did that a couple times, but they never did it in the middle of a conflict or at least at the very beginning of it. I had myself saying something more along the lines of 'I guess that's it?' *says bored and upset*
What I would have done with the series? I would have made it more of a mystery series. Not quite Scooby-Doo, but more of an adult mystery. I would have made it realistic, so you wouldn't have guesses that would take 250 IQ to figure out or characters that can't understand their surroundings; just make it plain and simply understandable without too many leaps of faith while being mysterious, as if the story is this deep fog that needs a flashlight to uncover.
Mission robes and ceremonial robes. A high republic thing.
Favorite episode in episode 4 is the ending because the ending is good as hell
Love watching your channel listening playing Star Wars Episode I: Racer.
It is a cheap trick, BUT works 😅. Makes you want to see what happens. "Dumbest thing I have seen" than you Sir have never seen X-Men animated series. They would do that all the time. Cliff hangers constantly to point of stress watching towards the end of an episode.
I am surprised he wasn't too bothered by the fact that Ki Adi Mundi, who was born 93 BBY and his race live up to 60-70 years was alive 100 years before the events of the Phantom Menace where is is clearly on the Council and very VERY vocal about not seeing Sith for over a thousand years and where he is now in this show 100 YEARS before that as a still standing Jedi Master... Like were we supposed to get some sorta nostalgia bump after we know he gets gunned down on a snowy bridge one day?
Damn, the Jedi just encountered a sith that’s supposed to be in hiding so kiadi will not be able to say “the sith have be extinct for over a millennium” in the phantom menace. Or are they going to have the Jedi “cover it up”
That was crazy since it said on the timer there was more than 5 minutes left in the episode.
I honestly hope Yoda doesn’t appear in the acolyte bc he’s one of the only characters who I feel like never had a bad appearance and I think if he appear in this show that is almost a guaranteed bad appearance
Nah they changed his birth on wookiepeida right after the show… his not alive during this show at all… Disney sucks ass…
The birth date was in Legends, there was never one in “Canon”.
@@Lilac-and-Gooseberries if thats the case they wouldn't have had his old birth date on wookiepedia then instantly changed it
@@daviddelarosa4955 They didn’t change it, it was never listed in Canon. Only Legends.
@@Lilac-and-Gooseberries still you don’t just straight up change a characters date of birth and lifespan of a species doesn’t matter if it’s legends or not it’s just unnecessary
@@leepowell1408 I agree, I was just saying they never changed it on the canon page because it was never listed there.
Reminds me of the scene in the Last Airbender movie where they cut to the next day DURING a fight scene.
The ending wasn’t as bad as episode 2’s cliffhanger. I think personally as a high republic fan, I’m really enjoying this series, and they really have nailed how the a Jedi are presented in the HR books.
The most aggressive cliffhanger: A Dark Sider jumps several jedi.
Something tells me either this cliffhanger is the start of Episode 5, or is gonna be more infuriating with them being knocked out.
The feeling I had watching the Aciolyte , was nausea
Dude i remember seeing how much time passed in the episode because it felt like it was going on forever, and the episode wass only 25 minutes! And when they cut on that final shot i was like "...really..."
I’m still invested, but I didn’t much appreciate that cliffhanger yesterday
Mae's delaer is the sith villain, he found the Wookie in the dangerous woods nefore anybody else could😅, and she was the only one with Mae up the mountain before the reveal...😂 Nice one Disney...
I bet the master is the dude that may left hanging
Qimir is 100% the master ive called it before now
They could save the show if they went really dark.
1. Darth Teeth kills at least half of the Jedi there on Khofar.
2. Sol has some feelings for twins but it is driven by guilt because Jedi massacred the witches on Brendok (why he was there so fast during the fire?).
3. Qimir is not Darth Teeth he is just a Sith apprentice (if he is a Sith master it is sort of dumb).
4. The Darth Teeth is not a Sith master - she is a surviving witch driven by vengeance who is an apprentice of the real Sith master.
5. Jedi brainwashed Osha so events from episode 3 are just "half-real" - in reality she killed everyone
Damn.
1. He killed all except one. Good
2. Probably this one is true. Strongly hinted. Good.
3. Here we still don't know if he is a master or an apprentice. But he called himself sith and we all suspected him so it is sort of dumb. Neutral.
4. It's not a surviving witch. Such a shame. I would love to see an insane dark-side female character. Well we can assume that Mae is a surviving witch... Neutral.
5. Seems Jedi did brainwashed her. Good.
Did they save the series for you? Or the fact that sith identity was so predictable makes it still around or less than 5/10?
"abrupt" and "clumsy" seem apt descriptors
I didn't watch anything after the VERY 1st Jedi death in episode 1 but I've been watching the fallout and JEEZ it's crazy. Lol. I love it
I've been watching the show through UA-cam reviews so I don't really care what happens
Same
I sat through the first two episodes and I didn't hate them, but I would in no way recommend anyone to watch it from what I've seen and what I've heard about EP 3 and 4
I'm remaining optimistic here as a hardcore Star Wars fan. But despite my high hopes, I have to admit that this show has been lacking a bit. The first two episodes caught my interests, and I thought maybe this show isn't all that it seemed, especially when I noticed the hate seemed to have died down a little. Then Episode 3 happened, which really bored me. I wouldn't have minded brief flashbacks, but I was not a fan of an entire episode being the flashback. This week's episode was definitely the best and actually got me invested, especially in the end. When the camera panned to the Wookiee Jedi being dead, I knew shit was about to go down. Then as soon as things were getting good, they hit me with THAT cliffhanger. I actually threw my pillow, mad that it ended like that.
Sol is probably my favorite character in this show so far. His actor is very committed to his role and plays the part super well.
This show is nowhere near mind blowing yet. But I'm really hoping that the latter half of the Acolyte starts to get extremely good.
The episode is called Day and at its ends so did the episode.
*Ki-Adi- Mundi … more like Ki-Adi-Omissiondi*
I feel this "tv show" was actually meant to be a movie but they scrapt thstbidea fearing low box office numbers. Big budget and the way they keep ending each episode with really no ending like a tv show.
Dont worry in sure the next episode will show the masked dark side user cutting down most of the jedi in one of the previews it shows Sol saying who are u and Yord yelling fighting the masked dark side user so I think the next episode most all of that group will be wiped out except for Osha maybe Jacki Sol not sure about Yord
I appreciate you being critical, I think we all want amazing Star Wars! #Hope
I got episodes 1-6. That's all I need.
That cliffhanger pissed me off more than the stupid ending of the Batch Season S3 leading up to the finale.
Edit: otherwise, I’m gonna continue to watch the rest of the show.
Episode 5 is gonna be a bloodbath
Always enjoy and appreciate your views, though TBH the fam and I have loved this show so far! We're enjoying the mystery, esthetic, acting/direction (and I loved the cameos and cliffhanger!)
Sometimes I wonder though if we're spoiled now with amazign TV. I grew up in the 80s, when TV was just bad - lol
i love the master's design so much
episode 6 better knock it out of the park with the choreography
if the lightsaber duels are good, i will have restored my faith in star wars
Ki-adi Mundi wasnt born yet, its annoying that these people making Star Wars dont do their homework on Star Wars
Is it Darth Smiley, Darth Zipperface or Smile-o Ren?
Darth Teeth 😬😂
The one slash cut strikes once again :(
A Wookie jedi, and they do nothing with it 🤦♂️
This show isnt worthy of a spoiler warning
I mean, gotta hand it to them, I’m actually looking forward to the next episode. Didn’t really we that happening with this series
I really wish that live streaming shows would have a consistant episode timing, this was a half hour episode that would have benefited from another 10 - 15 minutes more.
Don’t kill the sith off bro
I had mixed fillings with this ending i really liked the tension at the end, the main problem is dividing the series in diferent weeks.
They should’ve ended 5 seconds earlier or 2 minutes later
I like the endings on this show.
Personally I’m still invested and am really looking forward to the next episode.
As per all Disney+ things under 9 episodes....
They start off slow... waste time in the middle... and rush the endings
So will it get better... kinda
i just laugh at this show at this point
You watch when it comes back next episode he’s pulled a Batman and disappeared
but lowkey nothing of any importance happened in this episode outside the last 30 seconds
This is literally what so many Anime do xD
Seems like normal show watchers or Netflix binge watchers aren’t used to something like that.
Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely do not support this series. It’s just that for me and many anime watchers, that this is something kinda normal. (Especially if you habe watched Attack on Titan when it aired)
Such a nice touch to add Ki-adi-mundi. His species live mostly up to 65 years, but dude that lives twice as much and still kicking in RotJ is best addition. 100% not lore breaking. Plus, Yoda would never reveal why he put Windu in the position of GM, instead of Ki-adi-Mundi who had more experience.
Ys it's lore breaking. Mundi would have have been born yet during this time
I like the show tbh, I think episode 3 was weird, but not bad if that makes sense, episode 3 was cringey and corny but judging it off of plot alone, it’s not terrible. I’m really trying to enjoy the show and I dont think it’s a terrible horrible show but it has its weak spots. I’m still cautiously optimistic.
Revealing the Sith of whatever that early and to that many witnesses will just write them into a lore minefield. At least one character would have the thought "Guys, don't the Sith have red sabers?" If you kill everyone off you basically ruin your show. If he really needs to show up in front of Jedi, let it be just 1 in the very last episode and then have it play out that he can't report it accurately to the council or whatever. Now they need 4 episodes of "He's actually not a Sith because..."
Ngl this is the first show that ACTUALLY reminds me of the clone wars. I’m loving it I don’t care what people say.
Well simple minds need familiar things instead of exploring new ground.
As someone that is enjoying a lot the show the second half needs to pick up since this first half has been the setting up part
cliffhangers aren't really supposed to happen in the middle of action, I think. At the start, the end, maybe even a big reveal or climatic move, but doing it the way they did is strange is weird
Every episode except for 3 has ended stupidly
I 100% agree with you
If they showed the face of the bad dude, or SAID anything. Then the ending would be fine.
i would still sacrifice this show for more andor tbh
I would sacrifice both for Lucas returning.
Does anyone else think the sith's outfit looks lame? Maybe I'm just too spoiled from the sith styles in swtor and kotor
I refuse to continue watching this show unfortunately. Episode 3 was enough to totally put me off. This is the first time I have ever not watched new Star Wars content. Such a shame 😒
Is it my job to find something to hook into in a TV Series or is it the Series job to hook me in the 1st episode🤔
I have hopes for the Acolyte and I think they can turn it around somhow but the lates ending was a shity clifhanger.
There is something missing in this, I don’t even know what it is, maybe I’m after more world building for this time, I have no background for it, no idea who has power, how the Jedi work with them, what the Jedi are doing and not doing, who is in charge of the Jedi, what their alt image goal is that kind of thing. There are lots of hints but nothing confirmed, we don’t even know if we have seen the cameo or not
The only reason I kind of watch the show, is for the Sith character. I skip all the rest😂
yeah it was abrupt
The sith is going to be a girl with a voice changer
To be honest, making a lot of Star Wars series is a mistake, all Star Wars fans are attracted to SW in the first place becauuse of movies.
Disney should focus more on making high quality movie and not spent a lot on low quality series.
isn't it better if people stop watching and talking about the show? so lucasfilm changes direction?
I thought ki adi mundi species lived short lives and that y he is one of the only Jedi to have kids and lots of them ???
