@@GardeningUpbeat in which month we can Cut proton Plant.
I luv Crotons! Have 5 varieties 😊
I tried putting a cutting directly in the soil and it grew leaves already.
Will try prunning 2 of my crotons to make it bushier. Thanks 😊💚🌿🌱
Thanks for sharing your technique. Sorry that you lost one cutting but you have 2 beautiful plants now.
Thanks a lot for sharing this informative video... Even I had a leggy coroton that is about to touch the sky... Saw your this video few days back, tried the same thing with my croton as well... And guess what there are visible shoots growing up in the Parent plant thankfully... Not sure, but really hopeful that the cutting will also shoot up soon... Really thank you so much for this explanation and update, it gives moral support, strength, assurance, confidence & encouragement to go ahead with prunning... As you said 'Never feel guilty about prunning the plant'... Got wonderful results... Thanks again... Take care and God bless you... 🙏😇🌲
I had this plant indoor. This spring I planted it outside it is doing great. I’m in Canada.
I have several, about 15 years old each. Every summer they go outside and get rejuvenated as they love brighter light than most of us can deliver, in Canada, in the winter. (It’s the bright light that gives the leaves their colour, if you didn’t know.)
Marvelous tips! I have a leggy Croton and this should help me fix it.
Love your channel. Your dedication for months is appreciated.
Thank you so much for your encouraging words, much appreciated 😊
Love your videos and your total honest comments and updates! You always make me laugh because you are so real 💗
I'm so glad to hear that and thank you very much for your feedback :-)

Thank you. Enjoyed your video. Love Croton.
Thanks for sharing your experiment with the Croton plant. I did learn from your video. I am not as experienced as you are; but my simple observation tells me you probably needed a larger pot to add the 2 new plants, so the roots would have more space.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Linda essa planta , quanto mais sol toma mais colorida fica.
Your videos are good. Thanks especially for the updates. They make it look real.

Thks looking forward to future vids, great job
Beautiful !
Very clear n useful. 👍🏼
That's good advice. Thank you very much.
Very good video. As I am new gardener pl tell after dipping the cuttings in water at what intervals we should change the water. We should keep the same in light or shade. What is the best time to start this process in Delhi.
Good work well done, I’m wondering if you can help me out, my Croton lost all it’s leaves but I still can see some green stems at the bottom and the top of it, so basically it’s just a long leaveless leg.. what shall I do ?
@Yas B, Thank you for watching the video and plz wait for some more days...Croton plant usually starts growing well from Spring :-) At this time, plz try to provide your plant enough bright light or even direct sunlight. Once you see some movements in your plant (like new growth), you can prune it and if possible, please change the soil. Surely, your plant would start growing very soon, Good luck :-)
Thanks bro, such a nice video, want to know which time of the year should I cut the croton.
@Suparna Bose, You are most welcome and thank you so much for your words, much appreciated! This (Spring + Summer) is the best time to do it and goo luck :-)
Thank you for this great informational video. The English is very important for us who don’t speak your language
Glad to hear I could do something and thank you so much for your feedback, much appreciated!
Excelent tutorial!!
Beautiful plants,i love plants too
I would like to see your results of the leaf rooting process. I did it and I still just have a leaf in a pot. What am I to expect next and when will I see more growth activity?
@Donna M Cook, Honestly saying, I would still need to do try more...tried many times and hope for some +ve result....I am not a Garden scientist but I believe it's possible, somehow as we can find the roots and since a succulent can grow from a single leaf, may be Croton as well. May be need some special environment and case. Many may be...really sorry about that but still need time. Please grow it from stem cuttings and you would get the result much faster and easily. That's another reason why I thought to do this video. Thank you for watching and have a great time ahead :-)
It’s impressive to share with us the genuine growth! Failing leads to a better improvement each time
Thank you. This is what I want.
@Hilda Reo, Glad to know and thank you So much for watching :-)
nice buddy thumps up on you!!!thanks for your video helps a lot..
@Ed'z Lapura, Most welcome and thank you So So much for your feedback, appreciate it :-)
Thanks ...I did the hard pruning of my leggy croton which was also going all green. I tried notching earlier and though a little growth emerged but nothing much happened after that. After hard pruning and replanting the cuttings it is now bushier and the leaves are also rich in colour.
So glad to know about your success story, superb and great job indeed!
Nice vlog and nicely explained
How do you keep your croton plants from getting bugs like the spider mites? Thank you...
Very informative video.. Thanks.. Which season most suitable for this plant's pruning?
Thank you very much 😊 We can do easily either in Spring or Summer 🙂
Lfjfd
Thanks I have a learnt how to grow it now, without soaking it in water, I put in a pot directly and after a week all leaves dried, now watching this video, kept in water, hoping it will grow
Thanks for your demo sir
Tq Sir .. i believe my gardening skills will be improving
Bilkul thik kaha aapne soniya ji ,
Mujh jese bhi kafi log hai jo ki English nhi samajh pate
Thanks sir, in which season we should prune the crotons?
Your plant came out really beautiful and healthy. But what came out of the main stem of the plant. Did anything grow from that? I would be so afraid to cut a plant off like that
Very nice outcome though.
Nice videos as usual I like very much. But what happened to your updated video of rooted leafs of Croton potted and than fully grown to plant ?didn't find any video.Pl inform link.
Greetings I am so happy to find you here. Your instructions are great and I appreciate the updates. I have a plant that is suffering. I will follow your instructions. It was beautiful but just list so many leaves at one time. Moved it outside. I love these plants though and I will give it some love. Thank you.
What is the best time of the year to prune, propagate and repot? Please and thank you
It likes humidity and a bit of sunlight. August/September is fine.
You could also try doing it by March and spray a little water on its leaves once a week. It’ll be humid enough to have healthy growth
Thanks for showing how to grow plants..can I do that to other..plants.thanks..and more power..
I'm having trouble with mine. It went into shock when I repotted it and it didn't do well in the house so I took it outside and then it started to bloom during the summer now it's winter and I brought it back in now I lost all the leaves again what should I do
Nice, i am a croton lover, tnx for the tips

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I am so much happy for you! Wish you all the best!

Hello Sir, what is the best season to prune croton plant. Can we prune and grow from the cutting in March in Lucknow? Or should we wait till monsoon season?
Os crotons são um show de cores e estética. Eu tenho 50 unidades algumas repetidas 💚💛💜💙♥️❤️🙏🙏
Thanks for the video. I have got a small plant probably 5 inch (5-6 leaves) . Can I keep it in sunlight ? I am keeping it outdoors but in shade for now. Does keeping it in sunlight promote better growth?
@Supriya Jog, You are most welcome and thank you very much for watching :-) Sure, definitely you can keep under direct sunlight for more hours as winter is approaching. And yes, keeping it in sunlight promotes better growth. Good luck with your plant :-)
Very beautiful crotons 👍
I love this plant. I have 3 and now looking to propagate some leaves like you have done. I hope it works for me. Also now that is cold I need to bring my plans inside. I don't have many windows where they can get light, what do you suggest? Any advise is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Thank you for the information
