Megan, you have become more stunning as time goes by! I’m 73 and am just beginning to learn how to care for and embrace my waves. I usually get frustrated and brush everything out, end up with frizzy poofy hair and throw it up in a bun! My hair is past my shoulders and if I do what you have learned to do I end up with volume and glossy waves. I’m going to try the product quiz and take it from there. Thank you for being brave and vulnerable. You are a rock star🥰

Hey I am a curly girl too!!! I have been embracing my own curls for 6 to 7 years now. I was watching some UA-cam and I saw your video pop up on my feed so I wanted to watch!
Your hair is super pretty and you do a great job at styling it! Here are some tips that you might want to include if you want to. After you were done scrunching your hair you might want to use a T-shirt how to scrunch out the excess water this will help your hair dry faster and it will help the curls shrink up more. And then add a little bit more gel on damp hair for some extra hold.
And for weird curls when you are done diffusing your hair let your hair sit and don’t touch it while it’s still in the cast. Then when you fluff it and you see some weird curls you can take a little bit of water and finger twirl them with a little bit of water on your fingers.
    Hope this was helpful!

I knew you were a perfect candidate for some of the curly girl methods! I’ve been noticing your gorgeous curls in recent weeks and wondered had you begun using any of these techniques. My problem is all that bending at the waist-literally hurt my back, washing, gelling, drying, working on my curls! One tip-turn off the dryer; place your hair in diffuser; turn on dryer; turn off before pulling it away. You’ve inspired me to give it a go again for my style! ❤

Well demonstrated, Megan. I ordered the gel immediately. I have just a wave in my hair. After watching your demo, I think I can encourage more curls. This will help with aging, thinning hair.💜💜

Try not to ‘fluff’ until your hair is 100% dry so curls don’t go frizzy. I’ve learnt to love my odd unique curls-they’re still part of the ‘family’. To refresh on non wash days I just finely mist with water, shape/scrunch curls with my hands and then air dry. The wash day products reactivate with the water but I also add some curl foam to help which is light and won’t weigh down my curls. Your curls are lovely-glad you’ve embraced them❤

Enjoyed your hair tutorial! Didn’t think it looked weird at all. I found that it’s better to go with the way your hair wants to lay than to try and fight it. You’ve definitely perfected your technique.

I wore my hair curly in my twenties, and then started straightening it. When we moved to Hawaii last year, I had to let it curl again because that was a battle I was not going to with the humidity. 😂 my husband said I was there for a week and my hair turned into Maui’s hair. The curl formation is usually referred to as “clumps” versus “ropes.” And the hard gel is usually referred to as a “cast.” You can break the gel cast by scrunching. To further reduce frizz, you could hover diffuse for the first 5-10 minutes the move into pixie diffuse once the gel has taken hold. You could also try finger coiling the clumps that give you trouble. Finger coiling also helps with getting a more uniform curl.

Megan, your hair always looks stunning! As a 'curly girl' myself, it's good to know how to make them look their best. The 'Curly Girl' method has helped me a lot to figure out how to wash, dry, and style better. I even got my own hairdresser to embrace her own curls! More water and more product are your friend to getting big luscious, bouncy curls and dry completed before starting to style and rearrange curls. I'm no expert either but from what your video shows you are definitely on the right track.

I'm 67 and embraced my curly hair at the age of 40, shout out to Kevin, only the best hairdresser ever. Great tutorial, not too much different than what I do, my hair is to elbows.

If you refresh your hair day 2 or 3 you should try just rewetting without adding product and the water should reactivate the product that is already in your hair. Always works good for me so i only have to add product day one. You can also try just finger coiling or pin curling just the top layer if the underneath still looks good ❤

You did a great job. Thank you for being vulnerable and doing something you weren't really excited about doing. When you first said curl ropes, I was a little confused but I think that your curl ropes a lot of people refer to them as curl clumps, and instead of gel breaking, they call it scrunching out the crunch. It looks good, and I'm excited to check out the products you used.

In a most loving way, may I suggest when a cold sore signals onset ...fuzzy tingly feeling, quickly grab an ice cube, place directly on fuzzy area until ice cube completely melts. Let dry naturally. Re-apply fresh ice cube, do same process until you no longer feel fuzzy tingle. If you are blessed, the sore will not even emerge . If sore does appear, continue with treatment until any tingle is banished. Sanitize hands, as not to infect anyone else. Most often this treatment will prevent sore to escalate, if you experience break-out ice WILL kill most yucky pus. Shorten scale etc, Hopefully this will be beneficial to you and prevent discomfort! I pray you will suffer less. Also, no chemicals. No side affects. Shortens outbreak!
