I am a curly hair girl, too! When I was younger, I never truly embraced it. When I allow my curls to flourish, so to speak, I get so many compliments! Love this video and all your explanations of each product. I do put the blow dryer to my hair, but I use the heat in a way as to not get the frizz. And I learned through the years that product does, in fact, help! Thank you for another great video!
I am a curly gal too and I remember as a teenager and into my twenties and early thirties all I wanted was straighter hair. Now as a woman in my late fifties and even in my forties I know how blessed I am to have the curls. I never have to spend time styling my hair. Wash, condition, and put a moisturizer in my hair once out of the shower....done.
I love that you listened to your viewers and made a curly hair tutorial. I embraced my curls years ago. It’s a whole different journey with curls. One day the curls may cooperate on the next day not so much. Curly haired gals are always watching the weather. Wind is not our friend. The overnight care is critical as to how your hair will look in the morning for your refresh. Daily washing is NOT for curly hair as it is too drying. It’s true my straight haired friends always love my curls and I’m always wishing I had straight hair especially if I’m having a frizzy bad hair day😂 thanks for the video as always you present a top notch tutorial.
Naturally curly hair here too! Products are our savior. When I was a teen, those products just did not exist so I fought the curls. Now I embrace them.
Finally, a curly hair video by someone whose hair is really not even that curly. Your hair definitely has its own curl pattern, but it’s actually a lot more like mine than most “curly girl” videos! I really appreciate this, because some of us were not blessed with hundreds of corkscrews all over our heads. I am a wavy girl who WISHES for corkscrews! Sometimes it’s uneven and crazy and looks like sticks the next day, but with the right products & a good diffuser it can still be beautiful!! ❤ Although my FAVORITE look on you is the way you did your hair in the scarf video. Please do a tutorial of that! So attractive!
I got an inverted bob today and the stacking she did in the back is far shorter than the picture I showed her! 😳 🤷♀️ I was feeling so anxious in the salon when she showed me the finished product. But I actually thought of you and thought, ya know I bet if this happened to Dominique she would just own it and rock the look. I came home and used all the styling tips you’ve given over the years and when my husband saw me he actually complimented me on how stylish it looks - and he does not like short hair! Just wanted to say thank you. I really would have cried had I not been watching you all these years!
I’m 61 and I have curls. I am now loving mine. I follow curl sisters and have learned to love my curls. The biggest difference in our technique is a holding gel or mousse. It is magical in keeping the curl shape and fluffing after it is dry gives you miles of volume. It makes defined curls instead of fluff. Maybe add it one day. I use Herbal Essence mousse. Very inexpensive with great hold!❤
Could you please do an episode on the importance of posture? I see so many women with terrible posture (myself included). I’ve noticed you have good posture…it’s so important not only for the health reasons (can cause back pain, slumped shoulders, etc) but also as a way to feel more confident and strong. Thank you!
Went to my natural curl about 15 years ago after everyone kept complementing my hair after our Florida rainstorms😀. Never regretted it and still get compliments and so much easier!
I always love that you introduce new products, but that you are never trying to push or sell them. Doing unsponsored videos gives you so much credibility and we, the audience, get new ideas of what is out there.
I love the way you give step by step instructions. I’m a Cosmetologist and I so appreciate your attention to detail to make up and beyond. You are realistic and are helping so many that just get lost in the process. Again you are so beautiful inside and out ❤️
I am a curly/wavy girl, and I used to always straighten or curl my hair-until 2020. While at home, I embraced my curls, and I am SO glad I did. My hair is healthier and longer than ever, and I now LOVE my curls!
Yay, thank you for this! I have been wearing my hair big and curly most of my life - last 10yrs or so I have been flat ironing it, but you have inspired me to go back to my natural waves. Thank you Dominique - looks super cute on you 😊💕
I am 50 and have curly hair too. The best my hair looks is in dry climates, it is so true. Northern Utah is so dry and my hair responds well. I love my curly hair, always have even though it was hard to deal with at times. Thankful for all the hair care choices there are now. I have been using the Kristen Ess line and loving it. Again, like always thank-you for your videos!
Thank you for this tutorial. As a curly haired girl, who decided to stop straightening my hair with everything from rolling on fruit juice cans to ironing it; when I turned 35 (am 80 now), I have found that the cut is the most important thing. Unfortunately, very few stylists really understand how to cut my hair to allow the natural curl patterns to flourish. I moved to FL 2 years ago after 5 years of “snowbirding”, and have been through 6 stylists! My hair loves humidity, and I have found a serum is the key to control frizz and enhance the curls. An old product, Frizz Ease, does a pretty good job as well.
This video was just what I needed! At 61, I just recently discovered my natural wavy hair. It’s been a process getting it to behave. You gave so many great tips, and I incorporated a few today. They did the trick! Thank you for all of your information, and I agree with everyone else you look amazing in your natural curly hair!
So glad you embraced your curls. I’m 71 and recently became ill and can not do all the blow drying so I’ve been trying to embrace my curls but had the same frizz thing going on. My frizz serum on wet hair with gentle maneuvering worked like a charm. I used Paul Mitchell Gloss. Thank you for your product tips.
I have curly hair. These are great ideas. I’ve learned that when my hair is shorter my curls are better . My takeaway from this video is spritzing the curls and reshaping them as they dry. And bringing some in my purse 👛 for touch ups. ❤
Love the way you always keep it real. Since COVID and remote work, I’ve embraced my curly hair. My hair has healed so much since I stopped the constant heat and flat ironing.
I followed some of your tips for styling my curly hair because I recently was criticized by mother as to why I don't blow dry my hair completely anymore. This brought me to tears as my hair has thinned over the last few years. I used to have the Farrah Fawcett layers back in the day but at 63 years old my hair no longer has what it once did so I have been trying to work with my natural curls. Your video not only inspired me but made me feel good about my hair again. Other than the products you mentioned which I will purchase at a later time; I followed some of your techniques. 1. I didn't completely rinse out all my hair conditioner. 2. Instead of your hair products, I used Quidad Vital Curl Soft Defining Mousse (my hair dresser purchased for me). 3 instead of using a hair clip in the back for height, I used a couple of hair curlers that required no hair pins and dried that part of my hair with a hair dryer (just a couple of minutes). I left the rollers in until the rest of my hair dried. I also tossed the front of my hair just like you demonstrated letting those curls fall to where they wanted and after I took the hair rollers, I blended my curls with my fingers and it all fell into place beautifully. OMG what difference that made. The next morning I spritz my hair with a little water and all my curls fell back into place. Thanks so much!
I have natural curly hair and Hated it all my life. I always wear it smooth because in Arizona I can. My adult daughter has curls and loves it. She embraces it and I always thought how lucky she is to have such curls. After I saw your video this morning I decided to wear my hair natural and as I am writing you my hair is curly!!! and it actually looks good. Just have to practice with it. Thank you for the video.
Noticed your curly hair on your thrift shop video and commented requesting a video on how to get the look! Thank you for listening to your viewers. I am a straight hair woman who now has hair turning curly post menopause and as more gray takes over! So definitely in a transition stage and trying to achieve a style that follows what my hair is doing naturally.
I am Asian and have had straight hair for most of my life. I am now almost 74 and through menopause I find that my hair is now coming in a bit curly. I’ve let it go naturally, but the curl lasts for only a day and then my hair just looks undone and so I have to use a flat iron to straighten it. I’ve been trying to figure out how to lean in to my curly hair and this tutorial has helped. Right now I’m growing my layers out, but will try some of these methods you presented here. Thanks a bunch.
I have curly hair also. You need to wear it natural more often! Those curls frame your face and I just love this video! My sister has her own hair salon so I've been really blessed. I have mine in a bob and some days are curly and some straight.
As a 70 yr old I have come to love my curly hair and embrace it. All my lady friends at church are jealous of curls! I live in Panama City Beach Fl. The humidity mostly makes my hair curlier, so I do use a serum to calm it. Thanks for the tips!!
Great tutorial Dominque. I have long curly hair and embraced these curls during covid but as soon as we were freed into the world again, I was back to blowing it out. People don't realize that curly hair is more work that Stright. All that said I've been thinking of cutting to shoulder length and embrace the curl once again so thank you for the product tips. One can really waste so much money on trying to find the right product(s).
Thank you so much for this video. I’m 53 with naturally curly hair and have a similar cut as you. I’ve recently discovered the Denman brush and I love it. I can’t believe it took me so long to discover it. Volume, definition, and less frizz. I also live in Houston.
I’m a curly gal living in Queensland Australia. We have extremely humid weather so I know your pain, Dominique Xx! 🤣 it’s all about hydration. I’ve also been told to rinse hair in cool water only and squish your conditioner in to sopping wet hair and squish dry with a t- shirt or micro fibre towel to avoid the friction of a regular towel. Also put your curl products in the sopping wet hair to create curl clumps and use the clips where you want any volume. 2nd and 3rd day hair spray with some water and it will reactivate your products with a little more leave in moisturiser. Hope these tips help someone. 😊
I have been using Goldie Locks for a month now, and it is the very best product. I'm 73 with waist length grey hair and Goldie Locks is magnificent!!! You may have to skip the salon to budget the cost, but it is worth it!
2 products that I've used in the past that are brilliant at taming frizz are John Frieda's Dream Curls (can be found at Target) and/or BOING by Unite (found at hari salons or online). Spray to saturate hair immediately after showering, I usually flip my head over to be sure and get the underneath as well, scrunch then use a diffuser and hair dryer. Viola! Frizz free curls:) Cheers!
Adorable! When I let my hair go natural many years ago, I used a "pick"" at the end of it getting dry just on the under side to give it volume. Your cut is perfect for this curl styling. Still encourage you to try a thin hair band which will also give you volume.
Thank you for this video! 🥰 I love the girly curl techniques. The gel cast, and then breaking it when your hair is dry, was a complete eye-opener for me.
Yes!!!!! I mentioned that line also!!! I just started using it, a complete and total game changer! My hair is just like dominique’s….. but I learned I need to leave it more wet both leave in and then that gel don’t touch w hands till dry that break that caste! can still use diffuser but holding in place for long period of times to dry faster…… best product line ever! Zero frizz. game changer.
From one curly head gal to another I love this video! I have had the same thoughts my whole life and since Covid I’ve embraced my curls……there are so many good products and tutorials out there now! Here’s to our curls ladies! 🤗💖
Thank you for this video! As a curly gal in Florida the humidity is a big factor. Using a diffuser is no help. I appreciate your tips and love your curly hair💕
It is fun to bond with other curly gals! I am multi textural. Curly, wavy and straight in different sections of my head. It takes some finesse to get a consistent look but when I nail it, I love it! Waiting it out takes patience as my hair doesn’t dry quickly. Thanks for the product suggestions.
I have the same thing! Wavy, curly, stick-straight areas alll over my head randomly. Some days it works, and other days it doesn't. Never a dull moment!
While my hair is thicker and has a bit more curl, as always, Dominque's encouragement to try new ideas and work with what you have, in this case, lots of unruly curly waves, is amazing. I discovered her during Covid, and she's been my "go-to" beauty consultant ever since. Thank you, Dominique!!
Thanks Dominique! As a curly haired girl who is always trying to straighten my hair, watching you has made me more determined to wear my hair naturally curly more often. Love this video!! It’s perfect for the upcoming spring and summer❤❤
Very true about wanting what we don't have. I have friends that do those relaxer treatments, but I like my wavy hair so don't want to rid of it completely. Love these tips.
I too am finally accepting my very curly hair at 60yrs 😁 Just now am I learning how to handle & take care of it by watching curly hair tutorials. Trial & error with many products but I have finally found a product line that works for me combined with tips & tricks learned online. I highly recommend “Cake”, a Canadian product that smells like it’s name 😋 Very affordable, paraben & sulphate free. Thanks Dominique for your advice, you are incredibly beautiful inside & out ❤
Natural curls are less challenging when they don't frizz... I love leave-in conditioner for curly hair Thanks so much for this Tutorial Big hug from Italy 🤗🤗
I am a curl gal as well whose hair goes frizzy. I picked up a couple of tips and tried them out and am amazed at the difference. New routine going forward. Thanks for the tips.
I had really curly hair when it came in after chemo after being born with really fine straight hair. What a challenge. A lot of it eventually went away but it did stay wavy and lots of cowlicks. Fun video. 🥰
Really glad to see you do this tutorial enhancing your natural curl. Love this curly look on you as well as the smooth look. It's nice to have the variety when the mood strikes
Your curls look darling...love that you are embracing your natural curls. I'm a curly woman and I REALLY appreciate this video. As I've gotten older, my hair has really changed. After menopause, I let my gray come out, my thick curls became thinner and fine. So I am not used to styling this curly unfamiliar mop on my head!!! :/ Thank you so much. xoxo
Love your hair! I was taught from a very early age to hate my natural hair so I had been chemically straightening my hair for decades. I finally decided to stop that about 10 or so years ago. I don't know whether I love my hair yet but I've come to accept it as it is. When I think about all the money I spent chemically straigtening, I could scream. That money could have gone into retirement and I would be sipping pina coladas on the beach somewhere now.
Tried these techniques out yesterday - had similiar products to what you showed but never got the results. Your techniques did the trick! Day two - and my hair looks amazing! NO FRIZZ :) Real curls! Thank you so much, Dominique!
What you resist persists.. Started once again, styling my natural curly, wavy hair and I like it! Tired of fighting it, blow drying, using a curling iron. Never thought about not rinsing all my conditioner out. 👍good idea. I like the Virtue brand. Thanks Dominique, great tips.
Being a 75 year old women with silver short curly hair, I appreciated this utub and when your hair is curly, I see in you a fun loving attitude, youthfulness and a look to go with your new car, new Life and a women who is ready to take on the world.
Thank you for this! I had super straight hair all my life until I got older. Now I have exactly what you’re referring to! Curly with that frizz on the outside layer. I’ve never been able to get it right. Hopefully, now I will! Yours is gorgeous! ❤
Well done for mentioning not washing out the conditioner! As a hairstylist and curly sister, I never wash out the conditioner and often add more when the hair is dry.
I had straight hair prior to cancer, then had cork screw curls. Loved how easy the curly hair was. Now that I am older, the curl has relaxed a bit and is more challenging as it seems to be neither curly or straight. I need to try these products when I a home all day as it takes some time to dry. Fun video as always.
I've recently started using coconut oil in a spray bottle on dry hair and it's been a big success. Just one spray on my palms, lightly applied to my hair, spraying on directly was too flattening. It's A Ten spray is also good. I love your more natural look, hair and make up both. It's great advice to lean in to what we do have.
Hi Dominique, my niece lives in Dallas and she complains all of the time because her hair is long and thick and she hates the frizz. Her hair is so beautiful to me. You are so right Dominique because I have always thought you had thick hair and it always look great. Your makeup looks good and so matches everytthing. Thank you for a great video Dominique and we love you and hope you have a wonderful day too.❤
I am 67 with long hair (midway down my back) that I began growing out about 5 years ago from a super-short pixie that I had been wearing for many years. It wasn't until I began growing it out that I discovered how wavy/curly it actually is. Photos from high school and college (when I last had long hair) confirmed that I was always a wavy haired gal, but it was smooth and wavy back then. What has changed? I live in hot, humid South Florida and am post-menopausal, so now my long, curly hair (which also has some wiry silvers/grays here and there) also gets a halo of frizz, especially on my face-framing front pieces. The struggle is real.
You can also use a 3/4 or 1/2 inch curling iron to smooth down the cuticle and make the curls last longer. This is especially useful on 2nd day hair. It takes the top layer of frizz away and helps the curls look a little more defined.
My hair is just exactly like yours. I'm 68 years old and it's only been within the last 10 years that I've let my hair go natural. ALL be It I was a hairdresser for 40 years. Had lots of opportunities to straighten my hair and keep it pretty straight here in Colorado. But I do know there's no straightening it in humid weather! Love love love your videos❣️❣️❣️
Love this! I’m a wavy/curly and my favorite years were mid 80’s through 99 when I embraced my long curly hair! It was so liberating from my many years of straightening, ironing etc. In rolled 2000 and I hit 40 and wanted the classic straight look that was so opposite my big hair days. Now at 60 I want to be able to do both. Fall and winter in New York are low humidity so I can do a blow and love it. Approaching summer and hello humidity. I so want to learn to embrace my wave in the summer on those humid days. It’s been a year since my last keratin treatment and I’m loving that my hair doesn’t look as flat. Now for the lessons in curls. Thanks for this!
I swear by a certain line of products for curly hair. There is no frizz whatsoever and I even use a diffuser to speed up the drying process as my hair is long. Also, to freshen it the next morning I simply run cold water over my hands, rub them together and dab all over. It awakens the product already in it and once again there is no frizz. Your hair looks adorable curly ❤
I love your natural curls! I have naturally wavy, lightly curly hair. I wore it naturally for several years throughout my 40s. But I found as I’ve aged (I’m 62) the texture of my hair changed some and I have so much less curl in the front than the back now. Also, my highlights basically removed what curl there was in the front. And after trying to work with it as curly for several months last year, I decided that with the changes to my face shape from aging, I just don’t like how I look with wavy/curly hair anymore. Since I live in humid Florida, I get keratin treatments to help me deal with the frizz. And I have let it grow a little longer (kind of a lob) so that when my rogue waves decide to make an appearance, it doesn’t ruin the look of a sleekly styled bob.
Same here, post menopause! My hair is very fine but with a wave! My grays😔lol! I'm going to try Chi serum, was told it's the best! I also bathe in Goats milk Kefir, lactic acid is the best for hair skin nails!
Curly/wavy hair girl too! Sometimes I like the curls and other times I like to straighten it. We are blessed to have these options. When I take the time to straighten it, the style seems to last longer. Live in Colorado, so the frizz is a dry, static look. I really like using Bedhead's After Party to tame the frizz and it smells good too! Thank you for your wonderful, inspiring videos!
I love this video. Yes, I am one of those natural curly girls from the south. Sending you lots of hugs prayers and kindness ❤❤❤ I love you with Curly hair!!!!!
My straight hair went wavy a few years ago (one of the positive effects of perimenopause). My biggest tip to reduce frizz is that once you apply stylers, do not touch your hair until it's 100% bone dry. No scrunching, fluffing, smoothing, or raking. However, I have to diffuse my hair or it will take hours to dry leading to more frizz. What I do to fix it is mix a dab of gel with water in the palm of my hands and lightly smooth it over the top layer to "reorganize" the frizz. It's not perfect, but it definitely helps.
My daughter has curly hair and the granddaughters as well! My grandmother told me we inherited the curls from the French ancestors. They are natural blondes and curly hair too! How blessed they are!
I started using Olaplex hair line and taking Biotin supplement and my thin hair went curly! Last week I started looking up ways to style curly hair. This video great. Thought to share some of my learned tips. 1. "co-wash" it's a non sudsy shampoo & conditioner. I bought product from Curlsmith at Ulta $25 2.Deva curl primer Ulta $25. 3. For leave in condition spray I used a spray water bottle and added nickel size conditioner. Any conditioner will work 4. Grab some microfiber towels. I bought mine Amazon Fromme 10pack $29. Scrunch don't rub 5. No need to wash every day so my product line used is expensive but it all work out in the end bc it's not used every day. Good luck!!
Dominique, you're ridiculously pretty no matter what your hair is doing. Mine is neither straight nor curly -- it's got a flat, uneven wave pattern that just looks sad unless I style it. And it's very fine, so I can't 'do' it too much or it will break. My hair is best on its second, third, even fourth day after a shampoo, and I don't use conditioner, except for a leave-in spritz to detangle. I've learned that less product works better for me.
Thank you Dominique! I have been TRYING to let my curly hair do its own thing as I am so tired of styling it straight. I've been (somewhat) happy..but I'm going follow your advice and see how I go 🥰
Hi, i have wavy hair that also has frizz on top like yours. i discovered only a few months ago to add curl cream to saturated wet hair. in the past i’ve always towel dried my hair before adding any curl the cream or mousse but in doing this i was taking all the moisture out of my hair. if you leave your hair wet through after showering and then add the curl cream, squish it in whilst scrunching upwards at the same time. you’ll get fantastic results. it’s messy as your hairs wet through, i tend to do it over the bath, but oh my god!!!!!!!!!! what a game changer, my curls are so much more defined and lots more of them. try it, i’d be curious as to see your results. x
Someone once told me to never use products with alcohol. Pretty much every mainstream product has it, so I switched to products for African American hair (they are usually alcohol free). Gamechanger!
Hi Dominique thank you so much for the video. I love curly hair in the summer.its so fun. Your hair looks amazing and beautiful as always. Have an amazing day today. Big hugs.
OH thank you for doing this video! You have such wonderful ideas and suggestions. and YES I believe we do rinse out the conditioner. And now I can put aside the blow dryer and the hot curling iron for a while. I have always loved to allow my hair to dry naturally. It seems to look thicker and more healthy. So now I am going to run in the bathroom and do my thing. You are the best ever and we love you girl!
I love my curls and I will never, ever straighten them! You have a very unique way to style your curls. I’m used to curly girls using gels, mousses (or both), and then diffusing them. Then they scrunch out the crunch of the styling products by using a light oil or serum. I would prefer to let my hair air dry, but I can’t always do that because it’s cold where I live, but we still have humidity.
FINALLY a video for short curly hair, I have searched all over.Thank you. I have extremely thick hair so can't use serum. I have always used clips, they're great.
I am a curly girl!!! And I use cream gel nowadays, I used to straighten it for a few years and now forget it lol, I wash, gel, spray gel and that's it. I don't even defuse it. Love this video ❤️
Great tutorial! I live in SC &decided not to fight my hair this summer. This video came at the perfect time. Just didn't know what products to try. So thank you💖
I've hated my very curly hair for years, but have finally given into it, no more GHDs for me. It was a very well kept secret, all my friends thought I'd had a perm. I was born with dead straight hair which started to curl when I was six. I just spray it with water every morning and s crunch it up. with the GHDs it used to take an hour and a half to straighten as it is so thick.
Love love love your hair . I am blessed with great hair (thanks Dad). In my twenties I had straight hair and would get perms. After menopause hubby & I were at the beach, went swimming and then I let it air dry. He looked at me and said that I should let my hair dry naturally more often cause it looked good. Ha I said, don't kid me. He promised that he was serious. I went to look in the mirror & he was right! I have soft curls and I wear it curly all the time. I think it makes us look younger. Who doesn't want that. Who knew that there was a good side to menopause. Love your look, both hair and makeup. Love from Canada. 👍🥂🇨🇦
Thank you so much Dominique! I have french poodle curly hair. Your tutorial and and list of products is so helpful!!! I don’t wear my hair curly very often, because growing up in the late 60’s & 70’s girls were so mean. The names are stuck in my head! However, I am going to give these products a try! 🤞🏻
I have embraced my natural curls for the last 30+ years. I wanted straight hair growing up but stopped fighting the curl in my 30s. I use mostly Ouidad products in my hair. My curl pattern is 3c so much curlier than Dominques. Putting curl gel in your hair when it’s soaking wet is the best way to preserve the curl pattern. Having low porosity hair means it takes mine forever to dry, but also means I have healthy hair. Heat is the enemy.
As someone with 'poker straight', long hair, I didn't even know that wet straight hair (that is really curly hair) curls as it dries! I just assumed that it would also be curly when wet! Hope you are having a wonderful week! We had a relatively big snowstorm here in Southern Ontario on Tuesday, and we're supposed to have another Friday! Spring can't come soon enough! Love, and hugs, Dominique, Sherrey
Same! I can wear it straight if I choose, however, I can wash, put some product in and GO. My hair looks great!
Me too
Same ❤
That was great I don’t know if I can keep all that product straight lol Thanks for doing this When I go to Florida is when I really should do this
Hi from Annie your hair looks so nice natural and curly
Same age - my stylist told me to use curl cream first, all over, and then apply mousse in an upward scrunch motion.
Could you please do an episode on the importance of posture? I see so many women with terrible posture (myself included). I’ve noticed you have good posture…it’s so important not only for the health reasons (can cause back pain, slumped shoulders, etc) but also as a way to feel more confident and strong. Thank you!
Good idea. My mother drilled it into me when I was younger - I didn't like the constant nagging at the time but now I'm glad that she did.
Me too, I love the weather here specially my hair.
What product do you use?
I am a snowbird in Fla. and still have not found someone to cut curly hair. Where did you find someone (hoping that it's near Sarasota)?
@@carolgriffiths6603 sorry. Am on the East coast near Palm Beach
Thank you!
Same thing happened to me after "the change"... 😉
The same is happening to me. I am learning to embrace my curl.
Thanks for sharing!!
I love that you are wearing it curly. I have curly hair and feel that finding a curly stylist who cuts it dry has been a key
Adorable! When I let my hair go natural many years ago, I used a "pick"" at the end of it getting dry just on the under side to give it volume. Your cut is perfect for this curl styling. Still encourage you to try a thin hair band which will also give you volume.
I did that too - my mother had curly short hair and always used a pick. Makes a big difference.
Thank you for this video! 🥰 I love the girly curl techniques. The gel cast, and then breaking it when your hair is dry, was a complete eye-opener for me.
Thanks for sharing!!
Gel is a game changer! I have fine, thin hair and gel with protein and a diffuser is a must! 😊
I started embracing my curls about 3 months ago. Love the ease of it all!
So true Dominique. Us curly girls just need to embrace our sweet wild curls! ❤ you look so adorable!
From one curly head gal to another I love this video! I have had the same thoughts my whole life and since Covid I’ve embraced my curls……there are so many good products and tutorials out there now! Here’s to our curls ladies! 🤗💖
Happiness is in caring, sharing, giving, and gratitude
Thank you for all the happiness you give us Dominique. ❤
Love and support from France
I too am a curly girl and I love my curls, just not the frizz. Thank you so much for the tricks and products! Love your curls 💝
You got this!
Very true about wanting what we don't have. I have friends that do those relaxer treatments, but I like my wavy hair so don't want to rid of it completely. Love these tips.
I too am finally accepting my very curly hair at 60yrs 😁
Just now am I learning how to handle & take care of it by watching curly hair tutorials.
Trial & error with many products but I have finally found a product line that works for me combined with tips & tricks learned online.
I highly recommend “Cake”, a Canadian product that smells like it’s name 😋
Very affordable, paraben & sulphate free.
Thanks Dominique for your advice, you are incredibly beautiful inside & out ❤
Just started using Cake curl cream and mousse - good stuff!
I have always felt I had the best of both worlds. Straight if I want it, curly if I want it. A little bit of work, but a blessing!
Natural curls are less challenging when they don't frizz... I love leave-in conditioner for curly hair Thanks so much for this Tutorial
Big hug from Italy 🤗🤗
Big hug right back!
:/ Thank you so much. xoxo
You are so welcome!
Edie, I was SHOCKED at how different my hair is after menopause. I don't even recognize it anymore.
@@debbiepruisman1698 Oh Debbie, even though I empathize, it's good to hear I'm not alone! 🥰
Same here - it was straight and obedient until I went into menopause and now it's very wavy. I love it, though.
I hear ya!
Love your curls Dominique! I have wavy hair and love it. I also grew out my grey during Covid. Embracing my natural self!!!
Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you for a great video Dominique and we love you and hope you have a wonderful day too.❤
Finally! I was always wanting u to embrace your curls from one curly gal to another!
The best thing for curly hair is any oil and moisture. Because curly hair are dryer by nature in its texture. Love your videos❤
Yes, it sure does
@@dominiquesachsetv Love that Long dress you just got... You'll have to pair your Long Black Satin Gloves with it at a future event !!!
Love your hair curly, Dominique!! From one curly girl to another - thank you for this video!! 💕
Looking beautiful with your curls Dominique x I also have curly hair and gave up trying to straighten it, so I just let it do it's own thing now! xxx
I love your curly hair, Dominique 💖 you are blessed ❤️
Your cut is fabulous. I love that it looks equally great curly or straightened. Thanks for the great tips.
I started using Olaplex hair line and taking Biotin supplement and my thin hair went curly! Last week I started looking up ways to style curly hair. This video great. Thought to share some of my learned tips.
1. "co-wash" it's a non sudsy shampoo & conditioner. I bought product from Curlsmith at Ulta $25
2.Deva curl primer Ulta $25.
3. For leave in condition spray I used a spray water bottle and added nickel size conditioner. Any conditioner will work
4. Grab some microfiber towels. I bought mine Amazon Fromme 10pack $29. Scrunch don't rub
I've been (somewhat) happy..but I'm going follow your advice and see how I go 🥰
Love your hair curly. I true love and embrace my curls, so easy to style too and always looks stylish.
I find every time I use a diffuser, my frizz kicks in. I'm going to try one of those scrunch out gels and see how it like it..
So thank you💖
Can’t wait to try this! I too have curly fine hair that likes to frizz with humidity. Thank you, Dominique!
Same thing happened to me. The wavy curly look is much more youthful.
What are your tips on maintaining your curl over several days? I wake up with a tight curly messy mop and have to soak it and/or wash it daily
I think your curly hair is sweet and fresh! It also helps to use a silk or satin pillowcase at night to keep curls moisturized and reduce frizz.
I love your curly hair! It is so youthful!
Love this! Curly girl as well🙋🏻♀️ finally wearing my natural curls and a lot less straightening and a whole lot of diffusing! 😊
Love it!!
Topics and how to’s you never think about until you are faced with it! 😫 loved this! Curly queen.
Loved your hair last week shopping week!!!! I now know what to do to honor and be grateful for the hair God blessed me with! Bless you Dom❤🙏🙇🏻♀️
Depends on HOW curly it is. (:
