I cannot stop laughing. Mike’s comments always crack me up. Megan just ignores it and keeps taking. Love all of you! You guys are such a blessing! Ty so much for sharing! 🥰🙏
We have breakfast for dinner at least once a month. My sons' fav is sausage gravy and biscuits. One of our Christmas traditions is brunch where we have chicken fried steaks with gravy, hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, and either grits the way you are preparing, or toast or biscuits on the side, and lastly -a fresh fruit or fruit salad. Serving it after the kids do their stockings etc in the morning. Where as christmas eve, we have the more traditional meal for dinner, usually a pot roast with all the fixings. 😋
Love this one! I really like your hodge podge videos lol. Actually, I just like them all, whatever. Grits are fabulous. I started making breakfast for my kids and it has really changed things. Not even sure how to explain it. I had one daughter who just wouldn't eat breakfast but then when I started cooking, things changed. :) Mind didn't always make the best choices when they had to do it themselves. Thanks for sharing!
We eat stone ground grits with butter and salt or cheese for breakfast and for dinner we have two corn Grits which had corn added to them. We also make a egg and grits casserole with cheese.
Great video- love hearing the family updates. Been watching so long i like knowing how everyone is doing. Love the Daniel has decided to pursue culinary school.
my dad would eat leftover cornbread with milk and sugar. I think the fried corn meal with cinnamon, milk and sugar would be a nice snack or desert. Maybe with nut and caramel.
Are you planning a high school graduation trip (celebration) for Daniel, since he'll be home for three months? I bet you are so excited to have your son come home for awhile! Just think, all your children will be sitting at your table enjoying, good, healthy, homemade food. Really enjoy your videos and have friends and family watching your vids as well. Take care and God bless your family. 🤗 to all.
Aww❤️ time flies so fast:( My babies are grown and on their own, I miss making big batches of food and feeding all their friends, and just having my home full of my duckies😢😢😢 love the grits!
It's been so long since I've watched watched your videos and I misses you guys. Is this the home you remodeled? Love the cooking ideas. Great job jude!!
Nice car, yeah for the kids to have transportation. Question are you still food prepping if so what have you added besides the rabbits, chickens and outdoor garden. You should try planting your avocado seed. The food looked delicious. I would've tossed in some Fritos. YUM! I always "experiment" with leftovers to see what I can come up with.be blessed 💕
That looks so good. I've never been a grits eater but I think I'm gonna try this. I am wfpb vegan so I will make lentils for my "meat" and maybe add some zucchini to it. I make a vegan cheese sauce that I can use. I'm getting excited!! Thanks for sharing 👍🏽
Makes me a bit sad to see Harris Teeter. I used to shop there when I was living in NC. I love seeing places I recognise in your videos though. :) I have never had grits in my life (I live in Australia) we don't have it here. (Well, I have never seen it)
We eat grits about 3-4 times a week. But keep them on the little bit softer side, butter and ssalt/pepper and put on toast.YUM!! Only my oldest of my 8.never cared for grits, goober, lol. Lol,Mike, bad dad joke! If you take taco meat and mix with a block of Velveeta, eat with tortilla chips,tadaa....Tadashi....! My kids call it nacho stuff! Live all your vlogs!! Hugs from Missouri 🤗❤
If you can ever get your hands on it, try some stone ground grits ( I am in central Mississippi so I get mine from Sciples Mill ). When I met my husband 39 yrs ago he put sugar on his grits 🤢. I converted him over to salt and cheese!
Love this video Meghan!! Ok, when I was a kid, mom would make the cornmeal (grits) the night before. She spread them in a shallow pan (cookie sheet height). Refrigerate over night. Slice into sticks about 1.5”x3” and fry them in hot oil until the are browned on the edges and puffy in the center. Fresh butter and some maple syrup…your kids will do a happy dance! Soooo yummy!

I love and appreciate the cooking vlogs (and the hair vlogs)! Megan, have you heard of the ‘roo apron for when your gardening? Guildbrook farms channel has a video of her using it. Question maybe for a Q&A video (unless you’ve done one which I’d love a link): do all the older children want to go to BYU? Would you be ok if they didn’t? Are all children following the your Mormon faith? I am not Mormon but like to learn about other religions. Cheers from Canada! ❤️🇨🇦
Megan, I just love you. you have such a good knowledge and experience with putting meals together. I love the earrings...are they made by Pearl? I am looking forward to seeing all the future videos ahead...I think that as Daniel comes home soon and Elijah are in the home the family catch up will b so amazing! family RV Trip in the works maybe? What a beautiful family you have. I love seeing the kids achieving and growing! I wish and pray you are all well. Many blessings... Maybe one day you guys may come to Australia!
Give "Anson Mills" polenta, grits, cornmeal, a try next time around. It's the best product out there. Big difference from what you'll get at supermarket. A couple more bucks but worth it.
as a European I was smiling when you've said that it's a small car :) you must remember what we call small cars over here :) I remember you have troubles on your European travel adventures finding a big enough rental for your size of family
