This song takes me back in time to 1965 when I was in 4th grade and 4 fellow students and I sang the songs from that movie in a talent contest. You struck a chord in me on this one! I have been very surprised with the magnificent interpretation of the theme "My Favorite Things", the scene of the film when all the children of Captain Von Trapp (Christopher Plummer) go to Maria's room (Julie Andrews) when the storm. Your guitar performance is great. I am a true fan of this movie, I know all the songs, also played by guitar like you and I am 59 years old, it premiered in 1965. That is indeed a great scene in the movie and one of my favorites. I was recently surprised to learn that in the original musical, that song takes place not with the children, but in the Abbey while Maria is still a nun! But the biggest difference between musical and movie is that the biggest tear-jerker of them all and the high point for me of the movie -- "I Must Have Done Something Good" sung by Maria and the Captain in the garden at night -- wasn't in the original musical at all -- Richard Rodgers wrote it just for the movie (Hammerstein had died.). Anyway, this is a great guitar rendition of a great song.
