Walking around cozumel is my wife and myself, favorite thing to do there. We have always thought of Cozumel as a safe place, even at night. Has felt safer than walking around home at night in the states.
We did witness 1 awful thing that was during the day by the shops on the melgard. A man walked up to a woman and started to dig into her bag and as she confronted the man he pulled her into his store and we never saw them come back out... it definitely took us by surprise and have never got that image out of our heads. So yes, while it is safe, just always be careful

Cozumel night walks are great. There are so many different routes to take to get to and from town that you never need to be bored. Looks like your place is close to ours. We're on 60th between 3rd and Salas. Maybe we'll cross paths the next time we're down.

The doorway with the 2 dogs, belongs to a couple of great friends of mine! Ody and Aaron they own Miss Delietes, pretty much everything is made fresh, they specialize in vegan, glutton free and prepare specials according to your allergies! But it's not limited to vegan they always have fish and lots of other meat specials! I always pop my head in just to say hello and they speak English very well!

My wife loves to rescue cats, so in that respect Cozumel streets would be dangerous. Lol. Seriously, though, it’s on the top of my list to spend Canadian winters once we both are retired .

Hello, just subscribed. I am interested in staying for 2 months next winter in cozumel. My concern is transportation. Any ideas of transportation for a 2 month stay? Bicycle, moped?
Thanks for subscribing. We have a scooter but we also love to walk most places. Cozumel is flat so very easy to walk. That is also part of the adventure. Don't be in a hurry and enjoy the stroll. Maybe we will see you around

Also you will notice that there was not one policeman or not one patrol car in the video because there is zero crime rate in the island or almost zero. Of course there are police and a patrol is in the last second of the video.
The last 5 state governors are from there , their familias live there, the island is shielded. Discos and noisy clubs are not allowed downtown not to disturb granpa and granyy sleep. Bad hombres not allowed either. Plus, its an island and 8ts kind of hard to escape if you commit a crime. Military navy intelligence has a base there plus a military air base which isca part of the american northern alliance. Plus, it is forbidden to mess with the tourists.

We Latinos love our nicknames haha, we have them for everyone and they're all out of love. I went from being miguelito (little mike) to miguelon (big mike) because I got older and got fat lol, people gotta lighten up and enjoy life. Most things arent supposed to be taken offensively!
I know and is funny , they used to call us "fritos" also. No biggie.
