For all the days you have spent at resorts I am AMAZED that you haven't stopped to enjoy a sunset. I know it's a hard time of day to pause but it's worth it. I've seen so many of them and photographed so many. Two of the concepts I've used on these trips which I employ on my AI trips are the afternoon power nap and, when it is an option, the moonlight, middle of the night beach hang. The power nap is after the shower and before dinner which rejuvenates in prep for a late night. Being out on the moonlit beach on a still evening is magic. Great video as always!!!

all inclusive hotels are actually quite rare compared to resorts. In fact, if you look at the search date, people rarely use the phrase all inclusive hotel - probably becuase resorts are much more attractive to tourists, and thus vastly more common.
There’s was just enough stuff there to make it work I like it!

I really like your take on this one, with the very significant distinction between a hotel and a resort. I am a physician, but before that, I was a sales engineer in the instrumentation and control industry. Given some of your word choices and your ability to travel alone and be happy, I suspect you may have a similar background. Expound as you see fit. BTW, I go stir crazy in my clinic all day, so I often find myself living vicariously through your videos. Thank you for what you do.

The color of that water and sunset are amazing. The cove style beach is fantastic definitely has character.
I KNEW you’d think about it and see the beauty in this place !❤ We also love huge buffets , bigger resorts etc …. However we are in Love with the Westin Cozumel! Been there twice. It’s just a “ feeling” you get there! It’s chill, and beautiful, and good service , and the snorkeling 👊. We just love the feeling there! ❤
It's hard to articulate, but even the best all inclusive have the synthetic feeling. Some hotels, such as sheratons do as well. This was a proper upscale hotel that did not dilute the experience because they knew they already had your money. That is the major issue with all inclusives - the prepayment of the bill before the stay commences has the propesnity to lower the quality service

Hey, you've got a great channel going on! I started watching your videos a couple of weeks ago to serve me as a guideline for my vacations in March (I ended up picking the Paradisus La Perla in Playa del Carmen) after almost 10 years of not taking a proper vacation by myself.
This seems like a great resort to go to with my family on my fall vacations, really family friendly and chill by the looks of it.

But I'm convinced there truly is a method to your madness and am absolutely sold on your reasoning as to why it's the best all-inclusive HOTEL. 🙂 That tranquil sunset over the ocean waters especially looked breathtakingly beautiful and this definitely strikes me as the place to be if you want a more introverted, cleansing, sort of meditative tropical getaway. 😍

Serenity now! Glad you had a great time and found some relaxation! Still surprised because you love the big resorts with 5 or 6 pools, the pool parties and the nightlife! I was taking a look at Cozumel but I think I would prefer DR because of the casinos - I love the beaches and pools but not for all day, need some gambling in there as well. Exciting for when you get back to Vegas, has been a few big months there!

I love Vegas, and I will get back there - I feel weirdly comfortable there and the content just naturally flows for me. But do you feel Vegas content is at peak over-saturation?
Of course, there is always demand for high-quality videos, unique perspectives and fresh ideas, but sometimes I feel that space is so crowded that even the algorithm struggles to process and distribute the relevant content to the desired audience.
Also, - and this has never bothered me as I vowed from day one to never chase clicks - but it appears the even the elite Vegas UA-camr's have seen their views dip. Is it Monotony? Predictability? Saturation? It isn't seasonality because some of my best vids came out of winter season.

Thanks for the thorough and incisive review. I've had good luck at other Westins thus far (including in PV), so I'm not too surprised that their Cozumel hotel seems to be *that good*.
Honestly, their consistent goodness is why I like the Marriott Bonvoy universe overall.

Thank you for another great review! I am debating between Cozumel and Punta Cana ... I have enjoyed the Excellence El Carmen several times last year and going again in May for a girls trip. Had actually planned to book it again in July/Aug for a solo trip ... but decided to check what is new on Cozumel ... knew to come to your channel :) Did you happen to get a glimpse of the Westin Cabana rooms with the private pool? Any other properties you'd recommend that have a private pool option? Thanks!

Just a quick note: If you are staying just as a one night guest without the all-inclusive package, know that there is a meal plan you can buy which will make your three meals a little more affordable. We learned this only after paying about $75 for two burgers as a late night room service. The breakfast buffet was amazing. We also managed to squeeze in some great snorkeling off the rocks of the restaurant to the right of the dock before having to leave. This is truly a special place (2022). (The Occidental Cozumel where we stayed on the island for 14 days, had huge suites but everything else was, meh....including the food poisoning.)

Yo Bro! For better or worse, for the greater good, for getting outside my comfort zone, and of course, and most importantly, for those that watch, I try to do as many diferent kinds of hotels that appeal to many, even family resorts (much to my personal chagrin).
fun fact: when I first started my channel, I only did almost solely super expensive elite hotels, but I found the content and lifestyle to not be relateable .

We stayed at the Westin. Secluded in the north side of the island. I agree with all of your compliments. I would go back but not partake in the all inclusive. We rented a scooter for our four days and the quality of the native restaurants is a better and cheaper experience. With a scooter you also get to visit all of the dive and snorkel bars and eateries all around the entire island.
Omg I’m going in April. This hotel stuck out to me as I was searching for my sleeping arrangements. May I ask, did you have to ask for permission to record on their grounds? I plan on making content for my youtube while I’m there . Thank you for this video !

Are you sure that your opinion wasn't influenced by your experience at Melia?? :) I think a Motel 6 would get five stars after that! Seriously though, we usually stay at resorts when we're down there, but this looks like a great option. Even a "cool down" for a couple of days before returning after a week of resort life. Also, kudos on your editing skills! These videos are getting better and better! Can't wait for the next one!
There is no room for emotion in business, or hotel reviews. :) In fact, I usually give hotels way too much benefit of the doubt and shield you from many little annoying things that could be random solely for me and not standard for the hotel. I am the epitome of a "big-picture" person.
Plus, I genuinely love travel and hotels - I do not enjoy giving harsh reviews or negativity in general. Also, I've been doing this for 15 years, so each new hotel, just each new person, should never be subjected to past unrelated trauma from somebody or something. You had mentioned how tough the steak was where you were at, I didn't have a good steak anywhere on the coast or the island that week. I think it was a bad batch all around. Just curious as to the reason for the recent change to the widescreen format from a more standard 16:9 ratio. Was there a specific reason or strategy for the change? I don't mind it, it's just uncommon. Also, I've just learned of Hotel Xcaret Arte in PDC area, it looks amazing, and I would love to see your opinion of it if you were to ever do another PDC area series.
looks better, more immersive, wider aspect ratio, differentiation, and 16x 9 is so 1999 - it's going away...
Xcarat was just voted one of the top 100 hotels on this list. It was ranked really well too, top 10, maybe even to 5. I will get there eventually, but for a property like that, I would need considerably prep and plan time.
Cool Room - what were your room rates all inclusive?
I'd have to look it up. Bur from recollect, peak season, 3 nights over a TH/F/S weekend, the standard room WITH the full all inclusive package was around $1000 for one person That is the same price as Melia btw, which is next door. I've seen it as high as $400 per night, but also well into the $200's as well. Based on my next video, I can absolutely tell you that the value is incredible at Westin

Nah!! I’m not buying that this is the Best all inclusive, no way! To me the beach is terrible with all those rocks come on! And like you said there’s no privacy whatsoever on the balconies, which is a big no-no for me! Plus the thin walls? 👎🏾
