You might drop a zip loc bag of matches in there. matches will go bad over time too it seems. they get crumbly and the heads disintegrate. Some use lighters, but certain types of lighters the fuel evaporates over time. even then they are still good for the flint. I had some older glo sticks that didnt work. I had them in a vehicle kit though, the heat may have worked them over. what everyone should have in each vehicle is one of the lithium jump starters, they run less than a hundred dollars, and also can be used as power banks when need be, they have usb slots and all that. I have run my phone from one when it ran down. Jump started myself many a time too when needed and no one else was there to help. Good vid, thanks. I need to start saving all my old cooking grease for some of those candles.

Thanks for watching! And I have had evasion issues with zippo lighters but never bic ones. I should add in some matches! I don’t have a car battery jump starter but I should get one! And the crisco candles are super cheap and easy to make!

You might look into a SunRocket (or similar) stove. They burn just about anything and will charge a cell phone at the same time.

I have a couple of 35 amp hour sealed electric scooter type batteries that sit by my bed, along with a small 300 watt power inverter. if the power goes out in summer like at night when I wouldnt want to bring bigger stuff online, I plug a table fan into the inverter and hook to the batteries, blowing directly on me and not under the covers it keeps me in good shape for several hours. they do make battery powered fans that run on 8 d batteries, and they will run a long time. camping dept at wal mart.
