Anyone that cannot understand why many people deer hunt must not know the average cost of meat now. Or they are fortunate enough to be able to afford the current prices. Some say it's inhumane to go out and shoot a deer. To me, it's inhumane for cattle to be slaughtered for the meat. The cattle have no chance of survival while, on the other hand, the deer have a good chance of not being killed. Many hunters fail to even see a deer, much less get a chance at killing it. I think I saw the average success rate as being around 41% nation wide.

Since waiting four days to have my request for a return RMA was replied to with questions about "why" i was unhappy and "how do they cut", it was not in my interest to continue more back and forth. I now questioned whether the return would be an issue once I spent another $50 to return them to England, and wait another month or more for the refund. I decided to right off the wasted money completely. The way in which my original request for a refund was handled, I have no further interest in Ernest Wright. My impression of the brand has been irepreprably diminished since Ernest Wright does not consider this defect a defect! Ernest Wright could have resolved this issue simply by sending me an RMA, and a prepaid return label. That was not how customer service treated me.

Dear Mr. Gray, We regret that you have chosen to use social media and third parties to express your concerns rather than communicating directly with us. We believe that resolving this matter amicably is in everyone's best interest, and we would like to propose the following steps: Please provide your bank or PayPal details. We will issue a refund for your purchase immediately, as previously mentioned. If you could inform us of the cost to send the product to another address in Canada, we will cover that expense as well. Once you have received the refund, please return the product to a Canadian address that we will provide. We hope this solution is satisfactory and look forward to receiving your details so we can proceed. With kind regards, Paul

Because you want to be a man, because the way some women fill out a pair of Daisey Dukes is proof that there is a God and space rocks did not make that. Because there is no way you can just walk by a box of puppies needing a home. Because you would rather wear a worn leather jacket than a tuxedo. Because you would work with a broken spine, bleed all your blood and sweat all your sweat just see the look on your kids face come Christmas Morning when they open their presents, why should you own and shoot a flintlock, because you are a man.

The one thing about flintlocks, is that are great for "tinkering:! Yeah sure, there are "which percussion cap is the one of the week", but nothing beats a nice piece of chert, flint or the latest piece of rock! Caps CAN and HAVE fallen off, leaving you looking at your game's butt!! You can tell a flintlocker by his bare right hand compared to the hair on his other hand ...a badge of pride! Whether a Pennsylvania-school, a Hawken, a Jaeger, a Baker, a Brown Bess/Charleville,, or an English Fowler, there is "a load" yet untried, a "ball/patch combo" to noodle, a "different lock", always a little something! Maybe a "new bag"? a new powder charging tool? And it always brings a smile, a joy, an AH_HAH! And YOU figured it out! (my old load from the '80's fired out oh my DGW kit Pennsylvania rifle was 60 grains FFFg, 1/2 pan of FFFFg, a squared chisel English flint !/2 inch under leather, a .440 ball and .010 ticking patch with 'bear grease'.)

I would think from a survivalist pov, a flintlock is a must have. You aren't reliant on manufactured ammo, you can make your own black powder if you have the potassium nitrate, carbon, sulfur etc ingredients. if you know what to look for you can make your own flint, with a couple of tools and raw lead you can make your own bullets.

hi there! long time viewer here, since your hank's gunner belt review actually. thought I'd finally log in to say hi and drop a sub. I've got 3 knives in my EDC rotation: the spyderco grasshopper, the buck 110 and the CRKT minimalist katana. the grasshopper (2 inch blade, slipjoint) is my actual use knife for opening boxes etc. the minimalist katana I've got on me whenever I'm walking the dog or hiking in the woods and the buck 110 I've always got in my car and on my person whenever I'm in the city. while the minimalist katana is legal to carry in germany, it is a self defense knife - the buck 110 is more neutral and living right on the border to the czech republic there is a lot of police presence here and I get pulled over regularly. never had a policeman react negatively to the buck. cheers!
