    Listening: test on concentration
    Reading: test on cognitive ability (understanding the ideas in text, coming up with titles)
    Writing: test on how coherent and logical your thought process is
    Speaking: test on how eloquent you are
    that is not a language test, its a test on how well you fit in Anglo-Saxon world.

    I took IELTS acad last year for a resident visa application. Fortunately, i got 8.0 🙏 I feel like if you’re confident with your english, you’ll have no worries in scoring above average. Very helpful content especially the part where you can use practice tests instead of enrolling in pricy review centers. I did that as well.
    PS. I hated the writing section hahaha

    Hi, I am applying for a SP and got my LOA, my program(1 year only) didn’t require an IELTS so I didn’t take it. Still waiting for my visa approval though.
    So I was wondering if is it better to take IELTS here in the PH or in Canada during my pgwp or before I apply for express entry? Thank you and keep on inspiring ✨

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  3 роки тому +1

      If you were able to get an acceptance letter from a designated learning institution without the need of taking a language proficiency test - then that’s fine, IELTS is not required for a regular study permit application 😊
      If you’re preparing for EE- then best to take it near the time you meet its min requirements 😊👍 and you’re probably in Canada then 👍😊

      @@joannemarizfalculan5137 Hi! I don't know if this'll help you in your situation but my DLI can waive IELTs results. I've qualified for admission under the condition that I present an English proficiency result OR have an Enlgish test upon arrival. I would assume that the DLI will be testing me should I choose the latter.
      There is also an option for me to submit my secondary and university's mode of instruction in lieu of IELTs results if it is both in English.
      In my case, I would qualify for a Study Direct Stream if I submitted an IELTs result that qualifies. There is of countries that are eligible for this path but as for me, although I can, I did not do this.
      As I understand it, you can still take your IELTs later as long as it's before your application for PR.
      Have a good day!

      @@rrdancel Wait, you don't have writing in CLB. The writing was my favorite on the academic exam. I took it under British Council 4 times back in the days.
