She deserves more than 7 bands. You have underestimated her communication skills. She took no unnecessary pauses, moreover she answered all the questions effectively and efficiently. To me, she deserves an 8 band score.
I did a test days ago. I believe my fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation were much better than this, but they gave me 6.0 bands for speaking. It seems to me there is somthing not right about what is called IELTS exam.
I think the key is talking more not giving short answers. Like when she spoke about her hobbies, she could have talked more on the 3 interest and not given short answers about only one interest
What are you talking about, man? She deserved less than 7, maybe 6 or 6.5. She had neither outstanding vocabulary nor emotions while communicating. I felt she was just saying what she memorised before the exam. Presumably, that's a benefit in the fluency part, but without emotions, that's nothing.
Hello Ross Academy, I watched your IELTS speaking Mock videos. These videos were really helpful for me and I got 7.5 on the IELTS speaking test. I want to say thank you so much.
She did better than 7 band, i think the examiners should develop the criteria of evaluating the candidates, cus taking pause is something not related to fluency. 7:30
Natural pausing is vital to fluency and to native speech. Fluency is not about speaking fast, it's ensuring pausing in the right areas and exhibiting control.
I think most of the time the questions related to academic ielts for speaking part 2 are 1. Anything you lost 2. The situation where you can't use the mobile due to their weird rule 3.
