    Medyo fishy nga nuh? I remember din in 2017, may nabasa ako sa Canadavisa forum 20M refused din. Kaya talagang kahit marami ka pera but you cannot justify where it came from then it would be a red flag pa din. Ilagay mo nalang un sarili mo sa posistion ng VO, kahit kaw papa isip ka san galing pera ni applicant, right? So make sure lang na no loop holes :) Good video Rachel! Alright. Thanks for the video. So I have a question. In (6:50 - 7:10), you advised against having a 'large lump sum of money' in months prior to a study permit application. I will like to know approximately how much money will be too much a deposit in my account. Because I have been accepted in a Canadian Institution, and I need around 31,000 CAD to be able to show enough funds. Right now, however, I have just under 12,000 CAD. Next year, I plan to raise that money to at least 30,000 CAD but I want to raise it by having small deposits, so that I avoid any flags in my application due to large deposits of money in my account. I have until May 2021, when I plan to apply for my study permit, to fund my account. I will like to know if i should go ahead rasing the money in my account that way or if you can advise me on a better way to go about it. Thanks so much.

    Im doing a 3 year advanced diploma at humber is showing 39k CAD with first sem tuition fee receipt enough for getting a study permit?

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  4 роки тому

      I'm not really certain because they are other factors that come in play. Is that including expenses for accommodations? Are you single or will you be accompanied by family? Which province will you go? What city do you plan to stay? Will you use that to pay for your remaining tuition? Is that enough to get you by the number of years you'll stay here?
      Basically, there are several questions to answer before arriving at a conclusion but general rule is to have more than enough. Preferably have money set aside already for full payment of studies and living accommodations. Hope this answers your question.

    When applying for the study permit, if I demonstrated financial solvency for the first year, will you have to demonstrate how I will finance the second and third years?

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  4 роки тому

      Preferably have at least 75% of your tuition covered before making an application to study in Canada. Although it is possible to work while studying, because you are only given a max of 20 hours per week to work as a student - it may be challenging and stressful on you to carry the burden of shouldering your tuition and living expenses in Canada.
      To lessen unnecessary strain, save enough before coming here. Some students even make minimum-wage and with that it is near impossible to support yourself with that alone here in Canada.

      @@bluetech7128 I wrote an affidavit letter for my mom and let her sign it (Ex: This is to confirm that I, xxx, mother of xxx, will financially support my daughter during her studies... I found a more reliable template and made my own adjustments)
      And my mom applied for her bank balance from the bank.
      I gave these two, the affidavit letter and the account balance sheet, it worked.
      I also wrote a summary on the first page, mentioning the amount of the required fund and the amount of funds available to me, so it is easier for the officer to know right away I have enough funds.

    I want to ask for an opinion. Starting with my current situation, I'm a graduated bachelor's degree student and I am thinking of studying in CA with post-secondary programs. The problem is my family is broken. My father and mother aren't together anymore although they are not divorced yet. Our source of funds come from my father's work before that happens and my mother is just a simple housewife. My mom's bank statement is like 30k CAD. I choose 1 year post-graduate programs which cost like 15k per year. With a plus for living expense, I can afford the school easily. But my mom doesn't have any work right now and I can't ask documentations from my father as well. So, I can't provide evidence of the source of funds for my study.
    What should I do? Should I simply give up or is there any other ways to do for the evidence?

      @rrdancel  3 роки тому +2

    This is really useful advice. I have been working in Singapore for almost 11 years and I'd like to migrate Canada via further studies option. I am also thinking of applying Express entry since I have less of confidence with my age, 45 years old. I am married with a kid , who are currently living in my home country and my main intention is to migrate canada for my son' future ( especially his education).

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  3 роки тому +3

      You may want to calculate your CRS score before taking the study pathway. I say this is because of your age. Applicants 45 years old age or older by the time the apply for the Express Entry will have 0 points as compared to applicants between the ages of 20-29, which will get the maximum of 110 points. This means you are less competitive to be selected for PR. I am just being honest.

    I finished my bachelors degree way back year 2014. I’d been working since then. In fact, I am currently working in Taiwan for about 3years now. And I am planning to move and study to Canada right after my contract ends.
    Questions:
    1.Do you think, I’ll be able to make it through my application for international student. Shouldn’t I possibly get denied for SP?
    2. Do I need to have my credentials assess by WES prior to apply to a certain universities?
    3. What will happened then right after finishing the program? Do I really need to go back to Philippines or will it be possible for me to stay with my relatives for a couple of time while working on with PR application?

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  4 роки тому +4

      Hi Mgyan,
      Thank your for your detailed question.
      1. Denial is always a possibility. You need to be assessed prior to making an application. Since you have worked and have a bachelors degree, you an SOP that explains in detail reasons for studying and supporting documents.
      2. Depends on your university’s requirement and the program you choose.
      3. Make sure you apply for a DLI school so that you can get your PGWP. If you did it correctly, then you can stay back for max 3 years on PGWP to work. After working 1 year in skilled job, you can apply for Express Entry. If you have high enough score, you may be selected to apply for PR.
      Hope that helps😊

      1. I find it cheaper to live off campus while studying. Because most rentals and dorms are more expensive studying in Vancouver. Generally too, rentals near schools and in schools are more expensive to stay in. But it could be different elsewhere.
      2. Ohh that's a tough one to answer for me. Living in British Columbia, I have a bias :P The provinces you mentioned are more quiet and population is generally smaller too. It's bitterly cold in both and some consider it barren. :( But different strokes for different folks.
      3. I'm based in Vancouver, British Columbia! And loving it
