Thank you. I was about to pursue my student visa without any knowledge about the living expenses in Canada and thought that working part time can sustain it. It made me realized many things and need to do some planning.
I have more to uncover about finances, I’m hoping to share my research to help students in making informed decisions before coming to Canada. This is an exciting topic but there’s a lot of layers to discuss.
I will work on this as the last thing I want to hear is another international student exploited due to unfavourable circumstances. Breaks my heart every time.

Canada is one of the few nations that offer job opportunities to international students who have graduated from Canadian universities or colleges and have obtained a Canadian degree or diploma.
That is very correct!
So if you are Canadian you are lucky, if you are imigrant you are loled, damn
and one of few countries THAT MAX your tuition fee for international students
thanks for the video it really gives me an overview of how my life would look like
love your videos and thanks for the explanation

Thank you so much for the nice clarification about the life as an international student in Canada.very much appreciate for the informations you shared.❤GodBlessYou.
MUN in Newfoundland (St Johns & Corner Brook) is also VERY popular with international students, and the cost of living in those cities is much lower than somewhere like Vancouver or Toronto, with a much better guarantee of getting a job here if you're studying to be a doctor etc as our immigration stuff is handled provincially, and we are very much open!

I just love to see her talking 😇
I love how honest you are. It’s completely true, you won’t be able to cover your monthly expenses AND pay your tuition by working part-time; if you don’t have the money to pay for your studies you basically have to ask for a bank loan and pay it during your student time, you’ll be in debt, yes, but in the long term it’s the best option I’d say.
Great observation. I always think finances should be looked at before you come to Canada. If you look at it afterwards, you might be in trouble. However, if you have enough money, I think education is definitely an investment in the long run. Andres, you are truly are an philosophical observer of life.
@@rrdancel haha thanks, I’m trying to be as informed as possible since I’m starting my Post-Graduate Certificate next year in Toronto. I think that’s something everyone should know before they even think about starting a new life in Canada, unless you have a scholarship of some sort you NEED to have your tuition money sorted out or be prepared to ask for a bank loan which is also a great option. What you said is so true, education is a great investment in the long run
@@rrdancel how are you supporting your stay??
@@andresfranco9512 Hi, you said bank loan. Where should one apply for the loan, a bank in Canada or a bank in your home country.
@@randomorange6807 you can easily support your stay by working a part time, however you can’t do that and pay for your tuition with the same money.
You are probably the first content creator who said that you can't earn your living expenses through part time jobs. Almost everybody said that it is possible to cover your living expenses unless you are unemployed. Yes, earning tuition fees is not possible but living expenses are possible, unless you want to rent an entire house.
Thank you for commenting. In this video, I provided some numbers to back up my statement to indicate that it's not possible. But, there are those that get by and force themselves into dangerous financial situations.
@@rrdancel I personally know many students who are working legally and earning their living expenses. Maybe your city is very expensive
@@Raihanul-Hoque Vancouver is a very expensive city.
@@rrdancel Hi! Any idea how expensive Calgary is? I'll be moving in with my friend from Asia so will the $1000 from part time jobs be enough to cover up just the daily and monthly living expenses in Calgary? Great video and ty!
Thankyou! This video is so helpful 😇💖
badly needed this. ❤️thank you ❤️❤️❤️
You are welcome!
May I know what you did to sustain yourself while you study there? You mentioned that working part-time is not enough.
Thanks for the info, it's very enlightening. One question though: is it breaching the rules if you do informal gigs? For example, if I have a part time job at a coffee shop and work the 20 hours per week as allowed and on my free time I take pictures and people want to buy them, is it ok to sell them?
As long as the hours add up to a maximum of 20 hours, it should be safe. ☺️👍

Awww this is so sweet of you to say! I will keep sharing more valuable inputs 🥰🤗 thank you for your support!

Planning to study in Canada but I'm worried if where to stay while looking for part time jobs 🥺
Really good video. Thanks for sharing.
Good piece of advise
Great video! Lets say I have 10k to support myself during my first year of studies. Will working as a student be enough to save money to pursue a second one-year program?
