These guys look like they escaped from a circus, but I'll be damned if they don't belt out a heart-wrenching power pop classic. And what perfect musicianship, I always get the chills when they bring it down after the solo...
Only saw the Slickee Boys once, listened to their tunes (for a short while) in the late 70s....What a good band. Always, from their rep, a crowd favorite and their songs are sharp. Live long and prosper, guys!
Love this song and seeing the band perform it at the 9:30 Club. What a great singer Mark Noone and what a great guitarist in Marshall Keith. Good times bringing dates seeing this band's shows.
And see how they fucked up the title AGAIN? "Uh Oh... No Brakes" instead of "Uh Oh... No Breaks." Got it wrong on the original LP labels too. Reemphasizing that those most awesome-most Slickee Boys never got the breaks they richly deserved. What a great band.
That band was a dream come true for me. Great guys, great musicianship, and of course all the great Slickee fans around the world!!! Thanks, Glad we got to rock your life! - Mark @@TheBrucepix
Grew up in DC going to Ft Reno, madams organ, 930 etc. You guys absolutely ROCKED. On par with Ramones live show. Thanks for all the GREAT memories. @@marknoone8442

Wrong! That video was made in 1979, long before we made the mistake of getting involved involved with tintone

Best band ever Mark! You made the 1980s survivable for some people. And this song was always my favorite.
