I don't know her, but I would suggest that she understands that it is helpful to have identity you experience positively and will help you carry over situations which you find difficult or feel insecure. Having a child noticing that he's apparence is different from the other children must have underlined the need for supporting positive attitudes of being different. Culture is something you can attach to yourself and help in the process of feeling accepted or being ok just as you are.
The talk about White and Black had very racist undertones. Unfortunately many people have adopted that kind of thinking, especially people from English speaking countries.
They have their historic cultural background of slavery, which has so deeply shaped their thinking that they can't avoid it.
They have learned to see or even seek division and maintain outdated divisions. Nowadays they mostly understand that biology doesn't really support the concept of dividing modern humans to subspecies like races. They have started to use race as a word for ethnic groups. Racism has evolved to mean attitudes, mostly negative ones, about ethnic groups or cultures and less about differences in skin tone or hair type etc.

He said they need to do gigs in Norway and Sweden before coming to Finland and that is worst part. People in Norway and Sweden are like zombies when they play gig. In Finland people are really loving the Marleys music. I have seen The Wailers performing in London 6 or 7 times and one time in Finland. I was a bit suprised that there was no one taliking with Al everyone was just walked past. I stopped as soon I saw him. He is a legend like Bob Marley. I see you Jamaica one day I promise. One love

Amazing how an 8 year old living abroad for so many years, who has gone through their education system, can retain such a strong Jamaican accent. From my experience preteens tend to assimilate and adopt the local dialect more readily. The experience of Jamaican in Europe isn't the same as our African brothers and sisters notably from Senegal, Gambia and other parts of West Africa, who are treated with contempt, discriminated against, exploited, imprisoned and denied basic human rights. I've witnessed it myself and felt their pain.

1:15, that's because she obviously embrace her roots. I like how she added the " wah gwaan". I've met Jamaicans here in America, some who are not even in the country from such young age. Not even,10 years, but the way dem chop up dem tongue ,just to sound American is sickening.

the light in Finland is like in alaska or Yukon, northen Quebec. But Canada is as cold or colder in the midlands, even at the US border. Vancouver might be a bit warmer. South Finland ranges from 0-20 minus degreec, the North is polar, so it can drop to -40 - these are in Celcius, so you find a Fahrenheit if you use that. = Celcius is the freezing point of water, 100 + is the evaporating point of water. That's then where the size of a Celcius degree comes.

Jamaicans are usually welcome in any part of the world. It's a shame here in Jamaica we have so many bad people going around killing. I have lived aboad for over 55 years and regret coming back to Jamaica

Is Jamaica a Baseball Country ? Have You heard of a Game called Finnish Baseball - that is like Bob Marley to Jamaica ! Lauri PIHKALA took a "two week " Liner to America - this was before TITANIC - and saw a Boston Red Sox Game ! He wasnt told the Rules - but He wrote Everything Down - that He saw ! Now just over 100 years later - Thanks to Computers - People may see The Game ! The Game was an Exhibition Game at Helsinki 1952 Olympics - and The Wish was The Game to join Next Australia Melbourne 56 Games ! Where They said that it is too Hot to play a Cool Game like this ! This is No like SAUNA - but see DARUDE play SANDSTROM - Running The City for You ? Bob Marley All The Way !
