Hello my brother would you have a connection for Lysandra Idusso, I was looking at the end of your video for contact info about visiting/relocating to Uganda, you how to buy land build houses and such Could you help me with communication with Ms. Idusso Thank you Donna
I knew Lysandra . Used to meet her somewhere in Nakasero (company called Hardwire) around 2014. Used to call her Chen. Good to see her being the representative of Uganda to her Jamaican folks.
Hi Lysandra . I know the Jamaican optician lady you talking about. Her place is Medoptics at Forest Mall. Worked as their accountant sometime back She is educationist by profession
I truly love all of the interviews. The only thing I'd say about this one, is that there was a lot of background noise. It was distracting, so try to quell that if this happens again. With that said, still love this series. Love hearing about our Jamaican people, and you are the best host❤️
This is another great interview 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Well done to the travelling Jamaican. My parents travelled from Jamaica in the 60s. Jamaicans are travelling all over the world, I think travelling to the African continent is the most adventurous and inspiring. Thanks for sharing..😃👏🏽
Yeah!!! Sign me up lol...seriously though I have only traveled to two countries outside Jamaica. After watching every episode of this programme I want to travel like crazy.
I extremely happy to be hearing and learning about Africa, from people who does not intend to disparage the Nations, the African movies help a lot too, thank God for the internet also, western press has been extremely derogatory to African Nations,, now we can see for ourselves, and see to them stuff it...
I always wanted to relocate from america to uganda .i was once informed that a organization was form in uganda to help people who wanted to make that move . I am wondering if that organization is still in existance .i started to prepare myself for that next journey and hoping that i can now get some guidance how to get that soft landing . I would like to do a farming business in uganda .
Hey buddy get in touch with oshey Duke Jackson, he runs a podcast called kenganda. He's an African American and he will guide you. Am Ugandan but reside and work in Europe but would like to do a partnership with someone from diaspora who is in the process of relocating especially if you wanna do business venture in farming. I prefer business partnerships with diaspora because they bring expertise in the chosen field instead of many locals who claim to have skills but luck the skills.
I absolutely enjoyed this interview. Definitely up there with my favourite interviews to date. I remember, Dr Ben Jochannan used to say, the Egyptian said they came from - the mountains of the moon, where the god HAPI dwells. I hope you update us on the name of the organisation they are forming in order to assist those who are interested in relocating etc in Uganda. What a fantastic idea & invaluable service. Thank you sir for these marvellous and joyous videos. Ok, thanks & peace 🙏🤠 Ok, thank and peace 🙏🌻
Hello brother Xavier. Fellow Jamaican here living in the US. I will be relocating permanently with my wife and kids this summer to Africa. Still deciding on exact country. I will be taking a trip to Uganda in a week or so and I will be over there for 2 weeks. While in Uganda I plan to catch a flight to Namibia for maybe 5 or so days. I left you a note on another video as well with the Jarrett family in Namibia. I really hope I hear back from you on this but I would love to be able to get in touch with these folks, especially the family in Namibia. I do have a friend in Uganda, so I'll have someone on the ground there but I don't know a soul in Namibia. Still would be nice to link another Jamaican in Uganda though. Please let me know if you are open to me contacting you or if there is a way to get in touch with the Jarrett family in Namibia or with Mrs Lysandra. Unfortunately I'm not on FB. Peace and blessings.
I love how she loves her new home Uganda as much as she loves Jamaica. I really enjoyed this interview. I keep saying this for all interviews. Xavier I really appreciate the interviews with Jamaicans living in our Mother country, Africa. Please do all 54 African nations. Thanks much.
Great interview. I read recently that over 100 million people speak kswahilli. It's appears that it is emerging as the predominant language spoken across African.
*YOUR Uncle may be a FAKE and that has contaminated your heart to judge others through that perspective.* #Selah #PauseThinkAboutThat Xavier is a very down to earth and GENUINE person. HIS smile is AUTHENTIC.
How do I connect with Lysandra ? I want to visit Uganda and need a connection .anymore Jamaicans in Uganda ?, I wonder how many ?, also which is better, Uganda or Kenya ?
I think the word is not judgemental. I think what she meant is that in Uganda people are communual. So some may poke their noses in your individuality. They may expect you to dress according, so you adhere to the community! For a jamaican with all the freedom, Uganda may seem extreme, but comapred to another country, Uganda is then "normal".
Jamaicans ancestors might have been taken to the Caribbean in chains but it's very plain to see Jamaicans today refuse to remain tethered to a post. They are as adventurous as Columbus, even more so only they are not stealing any ones cultures or lands.
Guyana is in South America not the West Indies. Also, there's two Guyanas, one is called British Guyana, those are the Guyanese people who speak English and intermix with Afro Caribbean people from the British West Indies. The other one is called French Guiana and that is the Guiana which receives Black emigrants from the French West Indies, specifically Haiti.
Historically, there are three Guyanas chipped off of 🇧🇷 Portuguese speaking Brazil by other European powers. They are British Guyana, French Guyana and Dutch Guyana (Surinam). British 🇬🇾 Guyana is GEOGRAPHICALLY on the northern Caribbean coast of South America. The CULTURE is West Indian. It developed like all the British colonies with enslaved people from Africa working the plantations. After slavery was abolished in 1833, the British brought in cheap labour from India and China to work the land. The British had learned from the past and the Indians and Chinese were allowed to keep their names, allotted small plots of land and allowed to have family life. All British colonies in the region, including Belize in Central America, were grouped as British West Indies. The French West Indian islands (excluding Haiti) were considered overseas territories and able to send a representative to French Parliament. The West Indies cricket team is picked from 🇬🇾 Guyana, 🇧🇧 Barbados, 🇹🇹 Trinidad, 🇯🇲 Jamaica and the other English speaking islands. The Dutch maintain ties with their colonies and I see many Dutch in places like Curacao. Many people from Guyana work in Trinidad which has a relatively good economy.
SHE didn't make the choice. Her FATHER made it for her. She was a CHILD aged 10. What's wonderful is she still celebrates her Jamaican Heritage. Many move abroad as children and as adults are JUST learning about Jamaican culture.
