I don´t know anny Jamaicans here in sweden, but if you three are annything near what you seems to be, I don´t understand why Jamaica does not rule the world! You seems to be the nicest and most pleasant folks I´ve seen for a long time!!! ☺ Lovely vlog, hope you all have a fantastic future!!! 👍
I clicked on this video to only stay a short while because I was busy but Ms. Segree your energy was out of this world. I had to watch till the end. Very nice interview ladies. So captivating and vivacious. You make me want to visit Sweden right now.

Boy. Another great interview. Enjoyed to the max. The ladies are so pleasant with good high positive energy. Representing us so well. Blessings. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Xavier for developing this series. I have learnt a wealth of information about the Jamaican diaspora. Andrea and Tasha thank you for sharing your energy and perspective, I’ll definitely add Sweden to the list of future trips. Great interview!

If you come in the summer, go to Halland. The west coast. The nature, beaches and architecture is absolutly fabulous and the weather tend to be pretty good in June, July, August.
These ladies gave me goosebumps talking about my country. I am so happy they have met with such honor as here in US there are good things but also a lot of bad things said about Jamaicans. First as a nurse they tell me I took away their jobs. It gets worse because most of us have two jobs and on top of that we are going to school to finish our degree.
Tasha is a trip! I dig her vibe. I’m from St. Ann and went to York Castle high school in Brown’s Town so I passed by St. Hilda’s everyday. Good times 👍🏾
@Tasha Segree 🤣👍🏾Yes indeed. Hope you are doing well! I live in Washington DC now. Originally from Claremont. Would love to link if I venture into your part of the world. Really great interview 👏🏾
I like this interview, great job to all involved, and let’s ask ourselves the question - are we in Jamaica or Sweden? That’s what makes one country different from another. Like both ladies, I’m Jamaican, and I’ve travelled to, and lived in different countries. I think loving our differences is a great mindset to have.
Look Xavier, I saw your videos,I got hook. They are so interesting 🤔and Awesome 👌Enjoyed them so much 😀 Watching them all! My whole week I am watching. New York (Jamaican)
Enjoyed this interview very much. Brings back good memories of my visit there years and years ago. Tasha, my mother who is probably two generations before you, is also a Segre/Segree, but from Westmoreland/ Hanover!
@Tasha Segree Wow! Look at that! I tried to construct a family tree a couple years ago but could not definitively link the west set with the St Ann set although I had a theory. You can direct message me on Facebook if you would like to find out more.
Former Us president Barrak Obama when he came to Jamaica and greeted the audience saying “ wah gwaan Jamaica “ , I think that’s how a lot of people came acquainted with the phrase, so even if they don’t know how to say anything else in patois, they know how to greet in that form.
The Jamaican accent is related to Irish. They are who we learned the English language from. In fact 1/4 Jamaican has atleast 1 Irish ancestor. Our different skin tone masks it very well.
Lol tasha long for stew peas and pork, me long fi stew peas with salt beef or as my grandmother use to saall beef lol. Jamaica still have salt beef? Cant find it probably have to experiment
This is so refreshing to hear how other countries and cultures across the globe loved and appreciate Jamaican culture. Bob Marley and Husien Bold are the greatest ambassadors for Jamaica around the world. It is also refreshing to hear this because here in UK they tried to give Jamaican like other African countries bad image. The colonial racist attitude is still engrained in their heads and minds Shame. Thanks for internet Jamaicans in Britain should be proud of who they are and their culture. You are appreciated and known around the world.
I found Sweden to be expensive and boring. The compliments are that if you speak English you won't struggle with communication and the environment is very clean.
Lovely clip and lovely ladies in Sweden but these ladies has missed out on proper Swedish food,we have many dishes that hold up to high international standards.
I've noticed that most of the people interviewed are women..quite a few are in these foreign countries because they ended up dating or marrying men from these countries. Some went went for work.
@Tasha Segree No Tasha, this is serious, I don't trust China. They will see to it that more Chinese people will move to Jamaica and takeover, you know how the Jamaican Government love money more than poor people, if there's ever a time Jamaican people need to get back more into their Spirituality it's now.
Kinda ironic for a Swede to ask how such a country so small can have so much influence seeing that Sweden only have 10m people and the number of inventions, technology and music exported from Sweden is insanly out of proprotion 🤣
I married my own nationality, but I notice the women and men tend to marry others. Marriage is hard, so I am glad they are happy, for my 2 marriages had deal breakers. I platonic-ally dated other nationalities, but I was more comfortable with my own.
