Stuart Morrow - what a superb bassist.
Stuart Morrow - what a superb bassist.
Amazing voice, amazing man, amazing bass, amazing band.
Indeed so
Stu Morrow - legend!
The best band in British rock since the Clash
Superb........3 piece turning out a wall of brilliance. ....hats off to sound engineer.....clearly hear everything ...drums perfect ....bass perfect...Justin guitar and vocals spot on.....this is the model army sound......
'Better than them'.... what a hugely underrated and timeless song...
Was going to say exactly that!
I can only agree. "Better Than Them" was actually the song that brought me to the Army thirty years ago. This live version here is great. Would be nice to see this played in this original arrangement again... :-)
2 of these guys are ded ! wow that was long time ago
what a hugely underated timeless band
aye.
Still love them, but this was THE line up! What a bass! After ‘No Rest’ we all were always black and blue in the front. Travelling with them was such a good experience. Great performances always. Great times! And they are now still back with the power of old angry men - after a weaker time. Stay always better than them!
Old? Koff!
Got me through Uni. Thought Stu Morrow was the greatest bassist ever back in 85. Obviously he isn't, but he is still criminally underrated and ignored whenever polls are done. Awesome sound and bass lines. They were never quite the same after he left.
Totally agree, wonder why he left?
@@jonfarrington1470 He left over, ironically, a row following a 1985 musician's poll that put him at #1 bassist that year. True story.
One of the best live bands I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Both times were to very small crowds & they still played like it was a full arena. Last time I saw them the crowd was transfixed and forced them to do several true encores. We wouldn't stop screaming til they came back. Finally after coming back twice they said they had exhausted every song that the had rehearsed with the new guys. My friend who had never even heard of them was blown away and tried to buy one of them a drink, he declined but chatted up my girlfriend and I and ended up buying us drinks!
a piece of history about...,not a band, but The Band,... thank you NMA !
Saw the Army again tonight. Different from back in the day but still epic. They ended with Betcha!
I saw them early 90s when I was a kid of 20-ish... Stood at the stage all night. My knees were shredded from being pushed into the stage and Justin was amazed and a little sickened by it I think. I took some abuse that night!
He invited me to the green room for a couple of beers and we had great chats about music and sharing stories in song. One of the best nights of my life!
Love 'betcha'!
Saw them at Bristol SWX Nov 2019 and they were excellent.
I hope everything get back to nprmal soon I need a live concert.
Been listening to NMA since the 80s and, like fine wine, they get better with time. Love this band.
Uma das melhores bandas de underground de todos os tempos!!!! Curto desde dos anos 80..... ouço até hoje em 2022....😎👆🎸🎼🎼🎼🎸
Sullivan's voice is really good, Morrow is a legend, New Model Army is best band I've ever heard that's all
Loved these times. Current stuff GREAT too! Thank u. Xx
What a tour that was. for the ones who never got this far. Salutes. Militia.
Conheci recentemente, baita banda e baita som. Feras...💪🏼🇧🇷
Saw them in Leeds around this time 😊
Some of the best gigs i went too around that time..
Great band. I loved Joolz doing her poetry before they came on as well.
Magnifique.... Pure émotion !!!
They were very solid live, I think I might have been at this gig!? I saw several times in various places in the 80s. So many London venues and so many bands at The Marquee! 😀
For me nothing was the same when i hears Vengeance
19:10 to 19:40. this whole bit is the best bit.
Perfect upload! I like it so much! I listen to NMA since I was 16. Great thanx!
Brings back so many great memories.
What a show! Justin is in control of everything. I’m in love with the sound and style of the bass guitar !
He played the Bass with dry clear sound, with a very hard Plec and allways new strings. Nice sound, extraordenary in the 80s
I think I was at that gig-fantastic! Thanks for uploading!
Been into this and for 20 years. Nothing else comes close
I was soo young too! First seen them live in '87
Really authentic true Punk Rock! Raw melody men. They cept that in their hearts and minds. Great Band!
Looks amazing, I wish I was there :(
So epic!
No greater love!
Oh wait, I'll listen to the full album and enjoy. Justin at his best.
You could really hear that they were doin something different
got into this band in the early 90's after my (then) girlfriend played me their music. Got all the albums now and saw them at least once a year from 1995 to 2012 until I left Uk. Wish they toured Canada though, otherwise I'll have to come back to Europe or Uk to see them.
som é realmente de qualidade
still have this one on vhs. raw!
Did this band play at 'Jacks' on Mass Ave in Cambridge in the early 80's? Anyone?
Incredible! Thanks.
I can hear the tension and drama of Ennio Morricone in some of NMA's music; 'No Greater Love' comes to mind.
Brings Better than em to full throbing life
Fantástic sensacional Band 🎤🌧️🌆🌎🎶🎵👏👍🇧🇷🎧🎸😎🔊
Still my all-time favourite beating U2 and Nick Cave by short lengths.
What Kornelia Farkas said is nuff for me !
👍🏴
Miss Robert and Stewart.
Great vídeo. I Luv nma
Those were the days....
It's a good job this video is on UA-cam because they didn't last much longer. It's a tragedy that Stuart Morrow left, because the No Rest For The Wicked album was as good as it ever got. Cain and Consolation were very good, but not the same level.
true spirit of punk attitude...
The whole set can be yours for up to fithteen pounds . Great days nma for ev....
i did that dance too
I've seen the start of this gig on another vid but never seen this one. Better tham them with duel guitars
2:26...get off my bass cable. 😁
I can't wait for the 22nd Leam Spa
Ahh the days when clogs didn't hurt.
Fukin Legends -NMA-
So great, so great! Was this the the non DVD/video night? I was there!

apart from being an awesome bass player Stu does really cool background vocals also!
Amazing
And they still exist and they never betrayed their roots
Has this been converted from vhs?
And if so where can i get a copy?
Thanks for sharing, took me straight back to my youth... 😎
ginger6toes probably from the dvd ‘Between dog and wolf’ which also had this concert
