- It’s the final of The Taste Master and we make a stop-over in Belgium, the heartland of chefs and brewers.
Here the two finalists, Boitumelo Mogoai and Charmaine Ramalope-Makhubela learn the art of brewing a premium European lager and the essentials of taste.
Thrilled by new recipes, ingredients and the atmosphere of Christmas markets, the contestants return to host their final occasion under the mentorship of Double-Michelin-starred Belgian chef Piet Huysentruyt. But from two, a full panel of judges, past and present - can only crown one ‘The Taste Master’ and launch their dream career on Afternoon Express.

The promotion of the sponsors was a little heavy-handed and silly at times, but it was worth it to me if it meant that the show could come about and the participants could be rewarded. The beer company, Woolworth's and Belgian tourist industry got their money's worth in terms of advertising. OK. But I found it an extremely enjoyable series, and I am grateful.
Great win for a honest chef that was open to her opponent to the end and never turned her back on her. Good incorporation of ingredients...you did well and all of the judges and visitors had to agree 👍

This whole episode feels like one big commercial. I don't understand why they're buying pre-seasoned meat in small portions and pre-packaged cookies (biscuits). Is it just for table decorations? We drink the mulled wine at Christmas in the United States too. Same recipe.
And I was stunned that Charmaine was allowed to substitute store bought meringues! But I love to contest part.
haven't even started watching, but obviously Zola wants Michelle to win.

Extremely disappointing that you got rid of the one guy who had what it takes to be the taste master. Alex was exciting and people loves watching him and his over large personality. Well done for getting it wrong, judged. Hope your judgment wasn't clouded by your bias.
