In this case on a F11.

This tool makes job easy. thats why there r so many people without mech/elec studies doing this job .Sometimes u ask with such tools is it worth to get a diploma from a poly or uni.I think now its a waste of time to get studies done,get basic knowledge dont waste big money ,invest in good tools that will do most things. Nothing against L.M auto,ifrom my experience u r qualified ie BT or BTS
Yes, tools like this make your life easier...
I did many jobs with NCS expert, WinKfp, E-sys, etc... but this is definitely quicker and more intuitive to use...

very interesting to see the level of computer control in todays vehicles, not surprising because I have always known it was there, it also gives us an insight into the progression and intention of programmers to take away control from the operators and drivers. It is not surprising therefore that billions of taxpayer's money is used to subsidise manufacturers, this is not just about creating jobs, this is about creating a power structure.

Some of this stuff it is slowly taken away or made very difficult or expensive to the ordinary garage or individual...
So, you are forced to go to the dealer, which obviously will not install second hand parts...

Where do you learn the autels full capability had a headlamp module to code on a bmw f10 today for the angel eyes managed to recode the frm but couldn't get it to work but the module was a cheap one off Amazon. Thanks

Hi, lm doing a Audi A4 b6 1.9tdi and the immo light is not going off also no engine check light. Tried to put machine but no communication. could it be the cluster or or something. Help plz

OK...
Start with the basics...
Fuses, connections etc...
Check powers and grounds at the ecu connectors...
Lastly CAN network...

I have similar problem...difficult to diagnose it...earlier it show wheel speed air gap rear right..I changed the speed sensor still same issue....can u help ?

@@LMAutoRepairs yes I did...I changed the abs also....but still same error...now last iam gonna change the wheel bearing...hope it's fixed then
Have you measured the wires etc...
You can have a break on the wires elsewhere...
Why you didnt do this job with Autel im 608 pro ?

Don't even remember if I had the IM608 at this point...
Even if I did, the IM608 wouldn't be able to it, due to the lack of an ethernet port...
Is no designed for that... can do coding, but it is a bit more restricted...

Procedure is the same/similar...
I know what the VO is... and that does not need to be touched when you replace parts like for like...
Again, the VIN number will need to be corrected, possibly some coding as well...
That is what I am showing on this video... there is no VO involved...

Did you use battery maintainer?
I highly advise you to use one...
Although, coding only is not so risky, and usually takes less time...
So, if your battery is healthy and you are only coding one module, you might get away without using one... but again, you should do use it!

The software is whatever was already on the replacement unit... this just code it to the car...

Hello Luis , I admire your work with the cars, but it is not good to make videos with a 3000 euro scanner, because most of your viewers do not have such an expencive tool.Its better to use the cheap chinese clones instead !
The best tool is yourself...

Exactly this is my point. All the job is done by Autel automatically , so if you do not own one there is no interest
I think you are missing the point...
If you use a different tool, the procedure at its core still the same... or at least very similar...
Does not matter if you are using an Autel, a clone Icom, a CGDI, or even E-sys... though the last one can be a bit more tricky...

Coding, programming, flashing... etc...
All comes down to play with the control module software... correct?
On the title, I put coding/programing...
I absolutely agree that in this situation the word coding is more specific to what I did, the fact that I used the word programing it is to make sure that the person that will see this as programming, can also find the video...
In the end, those technicalities that are irrelevant here...
