Just as sierras should be built, on budget, only turbo related stuff! I literally dream of being able to build sierra like that for scrap money... Awesome! Badass turbo badassery! Thanks for the vid!
This is some quality entertainment. Kinda reminds me of the times when I just started following your videos when you were doing these budget builds, even before the videos were uploaded to youtube! Oh and I gotta say, under 12 seconds in a Sierra with "only" 300+ whp is quite impressive. Any other modifications to the rear than the obvious locking diff and good slicks?
Oh BTW what clutch did you use on this one? I'm currently looking for the different options I have. I will need a clutch that can hold the torque of a 300 to 400 bhp (eventually) turbo Pinto and am wondering if there are any options that will be a "straight fit". Currently the the only options that I have found will require changing to a different flywheel for either a bigger clutch or to 184 mm racing clutch.
I know i probably wont Get answer but what did you guys use for fuel controlling and did you guys adjust the timing and can i build and run on 98 octane
actually the gearboxes in all generetions and motor types of sierra are pretty strong, they were placed in mustangs too. legends say that they can handle up to 400 horses
@@theeverythingguy8532 A bit wrong there. You're talking about the T5 gearbox, which only comes in the higher-ish spec Sierras, the lower specs get Type 9's (like mine )which unfortunatly, from what I hear, WILL shit the bed with abuse :( I'm onna turbo mine but I will need a gearbox solution

That wasn't a stock intake manifold. 304 RWHP on 26.1 PSI/1.8 BAR from a stock block sounds about right. A bunch of 2.3l Mustangs here in the US will push 400hp plus on pump gas with camshaft and cylinder head improvements

Tomáš Staněček Yes this was one of our Project goals. To build a pintoturbo, get 300whp without open it and driva an elevensecond time on the dragstrip. We wanted to now if it was possible and it was!
Tomáš Staněček Oh and may I also add, if you want better internals for the piece of mind, you could use std Cossie ones. If you are willing to spend some time hunting for parts you can find used pistons and rods for only few hundred quids (around here at least). IIRC I paid 300 euros for my pistons and rods and I have been running 1.5 to 1.8 bar of boost with them in the street for few summers already :) So yeah building these engines can really be done with a relatively low budget.
I come back to watch this at least once a year. Love it
