The algorithm is doing wonders today 🎉 ❤ I always wanted to try needle felting but felt like crochet is a better option for keychains. This is so nice because embroidery is the bane of my existence 😂 thank you for this!
@@tinycloveoh fellow ally against embroidery 😂❤ it was very helpful! Makes me want to order needle felting kits online. I have a question though. How do you clean a crochet project with needle felting? I've only ever cleaned my projects through gentle soap and soaking. I must add that I watched this at low volume at work hehe so i might have missed it if you explained it;;
Thank you !! It's so much fun !! I really really wanted to try it when I saw your beautiful patterns. I purchased one yesterday (the lavendeer) and I'm almost done, try to assemble everything and I'll definitely do the eyes and nose that way ! I tried to needle felt the eyes and eyebrows of a character I made in crochet a while ago and I love it. Thanks so much 😁
I was working on one of your Eeveelution patterns and decided to try my hand at the needle felted details since I had a starter kit I had not tried yet, googled how to do it, started watching the this video randomly, realized I was watching the same person I had gotten the pattern for when the Growlithe !
Thank you so much for this!! I’ve been following along with your eeveelution patterns (I’ve done leafeon, sylveon, espeon, vaporeon, and umbreon so far) and it was a steep learning curve for felting / embroidering. This will help as I finish the rest!! :)
Thank you so much for this!! Not only was this video very interesting, but it was also very satisfying to watch. I purshased your Eeveelution pattern a few weeks back (didn't start anything yet but sooooon) and I was wondering how to make the details, and with this video I KNOW that I'll be needle felting them, definitely. Can't wait to try!!
Thank you so unbelievably much for this video! I already crochet but am learning to do amigurumi specifically because I’ve fallen in love with your patterns. Never done any felting before so that part was really worrying me, thank you so much for sharing how you do it. Would absolutely love more tutorials from you, maybe some amigurumi tips or a beginner project? 🩵
11:01 wait, how can u take the felting off? I’ve crocheted amigurumi Pokémon and have used needle felting for the eyes and mouth, but I partly messed up but I could never take the wool out of the amigurumi
This is perfect thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial! You mentioned the growlithe pattern was on your etsy but I can't see it available :< when I heard that I rushed to check because I love growlithe so much :3
Thank you so much, been following you for a while and was wondering how you make it looks this nice. I still have some problems with my wool sinking inside my crochet amigurumi, does anyone have the same issue ?? Thanks !
can you also do this with the paper felt . the one where you just cut out the shape you want it to be so can you use the needle for it not to fall on the project.?
Thank you so much for the in depth tutorial! I was always wondering how you needle felted your creations’ details because they always come out so cute!! At 2:58 you suggest using acrylic yarn or wool yarn for needle felting, but can other types be possible to felted onto? I can imagine something like bamboo rayon being difficult because it’s so slippery but I often use cotton for my projects, so I was wondering if that would work. Or do you really suggest not straying from wool/acrylic?
personally I tend not to stray much from acrylic (and wool/natural fibers are definitely the easiest to felt onto) 😊 I've found that cotton and other materials can work, but may behave a bit differently or require a bit more patience to get secure!
Thank you so much for your beautiful tutorial. I wanted to ask you a question. Once you have made the eyes like this, if for example you were to pull the wool, does it remain well welded or is there a possibility that if you pull it it will come off? Thank you
Does anyone have issues with their needles staining the roving? I bought a set of needles and when i use them on a light colored roving, there's a black-ish tint left behind on the felted area. I've even tried cleaning the needles with rubbing alcohol and vinegar to see if there might be a residue left over from manufacturing, but my roving is still coming out stained.
Can I needle felt into any form of plushie to add detail or highlight instead of adding a piece of hard felt for detail I was thinking of needle felting on some shapes would it work? Can you needle felt into any fabric ?
Thank you for this video! Your projects are always super adorable and I wanted to start needle felting on my projects too :) Would you say this is doable with chenille yarn projects? I started crocheting about two months ago and I've only ever used chenille yarn but I imagine it would be quite difficult to needle felt since the stitches are generally more loose. Just want to know if I need to go on another yarn shopping spree lol
I've seen people successfully use felt sheets instead of roving before, yes! but I've never tried it myself personally which is why I don't talk about it in this video 😊 I'd definitely encourage you to give it a go if you think that method would suit you!
@@tinyclove Thank you so much!! I personally haven't encountered such amigurumi artists so I didn't know if that was possible ʕ´• ᴥ•̥`ʔ it'll give me something new to try out!!
Hello! I absolutely LOVE your creations! I know you said to use acryllic yarn, but do you think needle felting will work on thicker yarn or have you tried it yourself? Like Bernat Blanket or Chenille? Thank you
Hey Could you may show how to craft a Wimpod from Pokémon? I bet its not too hard, but I'm still a newbe in this and I would need a Video tutorial to see how its done. My hubby loves Wimpod. His big is soon and I would love to do one for him. It shouldn't be big. Just like 15cm long. So it should be done quick I guess. But I have no Idea how 😢
thank you! since my needle felting method is just the same for the hazbin hotel characters I made, there probably won't be a video for them at the moment. there will be directions/templates in the PDF pattern to help with felting though!
