Yo! This is a great video. I have watched it like 7 times. On my first try I was able to wrap the shark fin of a 2020 Accord. Flawless Victory. Thank you so much for your time and content.
@@tjscustomtinting Just wow! You did a great job! Well, you took the fin off. Bravo to you because there is just no way I will be able to take that thing off. So, I wish I could wrap it with it being on the car. Here below is a link to my car. I am slowly doing some small mods. Nothing fancy. On page 2, you see the new spoiler I just bought. It is black. My car is grey. So, I want to buy black covers for the side mirrors, wrap my gas tank black and then I wish I could wrap my fin black. www.driveaccord.net/threads/petitfrereaccords-2020-accord-hybrid-maintenance-upgrades-adventure-and-more.554323/
Nice. You could prob do use the yellow tools U shape tool for mirrors to wrap fins too. But I’m bout to use your method to do a m4 fin right now. Big ups!
This is so helpful you have no idea! Thank you so much for this tutorial due to fins and side mirrors being a very difficult part of the vehicle to wrap! Great work Daniel -Chris
thanks for the diy! can you do mirrors next,if can't seem,to get those down. do,you always have to tuck excess material if there is tension even though its post heated at 175? door handle video too!
TheMidnightNarwhal i'm pretty sure you don't make that even if you're the owner lol. i offered people to wrap there cars for free and only one agreed lol
Make it look so easy.Daniel I just ordered your roof wrap for my 17 sti is there enough material for the roof and antenna or do I need to order a separate piece for the antenna. If need a separate piece for the antenna what’s size, thanks
There's a couple of ways to door handles. The pre-stretch method works as well as the technique where you anchor up at the front of the handle and pull the stretch across the middle and conform it to the door handle. Those are your 2 main ones that i've seen in my opinion.
Oscar Acosta i have a 2017 mustang and those have to be done in two parts or it will be nearly impossible due to its design. The only real way to wrap it in one whole shot is to remove the mirror cap from the mirror holder/stand itself. So basically you can wrap the outer side as the first piece and then do the inner side as the second piece
I find the vinyl fails on these a lot. And the one's I can't take off cars? I don't trust at all because you're only tucking a very little underneath, but that where your skill comes in I suppose, but even best installer can only expect so much. Idk WTF some of these car companies put on these antennas to install, but I'm not taking those one's off. They have epoxy or silicone or some shit holding them in, you really want to take that off? Fk that. Great job though. I guess it's a cheap problem if it fails every so often, so not biggest problem.
Ma che cazzo dici che non ci sono Tensioni...!!! Da quanto hai tirato la pellicola, appena metti la macchina al sole in piena estate,si fa tutto su....!!!
Then im just gonna relieve the tension by stretching it more... And i can feel it shrinking back as i stretch it even more 🤣🤣🤣
You make it look easy! I would have lost my patience and launched it across the street!
Take a shot every time he says "technology"
This is the technique I used for my 2015 WRX antenna and it has held up 100%.
Dude there is a shitload of tension in the whole piece!
And no doubt glue lines too.
I did one like that and it has held up until now. I did it september 2020
@@Alang_492yeah, I highly doubt that.
I like to see the same antena after a month, too much tension on the edge!
Exactly!

Can you do a video explaining how to wrap the antenna while still on the car?

Can you do a tutorial on how to wrap the fin while it's still on?
they took it off for a reason, it will last longer and look better
Kyle Ingram some fins don't come off unless you break them off
you're right, I suppose its the same method just excluding the part where you're tucking in the wrap
Did you have to take the headline out in order to remove the antenna?
Amazing work man !
Im doing my roof and antenna with my nephews help this weekend,
I’ve only done a Front sun strip by myself Hope it turns out good🤞🏽
Daniel, I like your style for doing this, but with the 3m material are you getting stretch marks and glue marks from heating and stretching?
Breaking rc I'm pretty sure he was using Avery. 3m will leave a lot of adhesive lines
Hi may i ask how do you glue it back ? So that it doesn’t leak water from the roof
I definitely NEEDED to see this!! Thanks! 😎👌 #PremiumFam
Premium you should expand and come setup a shop in the UK and give me a job 😁 👍
Garry Bailey I second that and I will take a job too
Garry Bailey me too 😎
Pretty sure you don't make more than 40k a year with a job like this, unless your owner or something

How do you avoid the lifts at the end of a cut? I believe it's called "fingers".
'Fingers' appear because the vinyl is overstretched. Theyre a sure sign that the vinyl will fail very soon.
Great job 👍
Great vid guys!
Thank you
do you have a video on a door handle?
Can you do a video showing how to wrap the hood scoop on A 2008+ WRX/STI?
have you ever done a Justin pate seminar?
Not yet but I defiantly plan on it.
when are you going to show us how to tuck around the edges?
So how do u wrap door handles? With the same technique or is it easier than the antenna?
There's a couple of ways to door handles. The pre-stretch method works as well as the technique where you anchor up at the front of the handle and pull the stretch across the middle and conform it to the door handle. Those are your 2 main ones that i've seen in my opinion.
cruzingt86 you use the “technology” of the material
Awesome!!!

Can u guys do a chrome delete on 2017 Chevy Silverado
These videos are soo cool lol
Shark fintenna!
very good job: D
What about wrap the sti wing/spoiler
Great tip on
Just wrapped one in carbon fibre. It’s very hard to get it perfect. But it is possible
Look very easy. When i did it took 3hrs by my self.
nice il going to try this for sure !!! i bet would last a long time
Same idea for the brz/frs as they are basically the same antenna..just not as big lol
Gotta do this to my car. #PREMIUMGANG
Seems like you could just use vacuum to do this quicker and more efficiently.
Wouldn't it be more easy to remove the fin antenna platidip and gloss it lol
I give that 3 hours before it fingers. Too much tension.
Thats it...
You should make a link to the gloves. People are lazy! By people I mean me.
Finger painting evaluation in that making

Didn’t know Kevin Owens wrapped cara
Outside work lad
Way to much stretch you can see the fingering and the direction the fingers are running this will definitely fail
Why not just paint it
I prefer to leave the antenna on and use the vacuum technique. More efficient. Save time. Less tension.
Video?
@@13bHappy I'm doing a Mercedes C300 this week, I will record it and upload it so you can see the process
@@TheWrapEmpire You get around to making the video?
Video done? Lol
I've never heard of vacuum technique..curious
Stop lines tho? Lol
5 minutes with paint
Ma che cazzo dici che non ci sono Tensioni...!!! Da quanto hai tirato la pellicola, appena metti la macchina al sole in piena estate,si fa tutto su....!!!
Way to much tension, that will be a call back for sure 😂
If it doesn't crawl back after heat gun it generally won't later on
Better idea: Just paint it ;)
Way to much stretch, that will never hold
"the technology that we're going to use" you probably don't know 1% of the chemical compounds used or how the the vinyl were manufactured.
It's $3 on ebay, why even bother wasting time on it?
