I have a 79 that has gone the same shade of yellow. Going to have to get it out of it's case (somewhere in the pile of other cases) and have a go when I get home. The neck on mine is almost totally back to the wood. I think it had a hard life.

+trillriff-axegrinder if you trust someone who is capabable of aging or re-colour you can safe yourself a whole lot of money. Consider to have my 86 gibson copy aged to 74 custom which would hopefully cost me not a 1000 bucks

Nice! I'm not sure what year his LP is, but Bill Steer (Firebird, Angel Witch, Carcass) has a very similar Norlan-era Custom, aged just as yours is. The only difference I see between yours and his is the pick guard is missing on his.
