    Joel is simply hands-down, one of the top guitar demo guys I've ever seen. Very highly skilled, totally brings out each guitar really well..

      Smashing Pumpkins on a 1979 guitar... I see what they did there.

    Simply the best electric guitar ever made.
    Galapogos!
    I bought in 2000 for 1800 Euro

    I have a 79 that has gone the same shade of yellow. Going to have to get it out of it's case (somewhere in the pile of other cases) and have a go when I get home. The neck on mine is almost totally back to the wood. I think it had a hard life.

    Love that mastodon sound !! Very LesPauly with just the right amount of gain and a lot of clarity but still fucking heavy and thick.

  • @svfutbol20
    @svfutbol20 9 років тому +10

    Cheers for the Mastodon riffs, Bill Kelliher has a '77 that looks the same. That ageing looks killer, makes me want a new one so I can age it myself

    • @utooberblooper
      @utooberblooper 9 років тому +3

      svfutbol20 hey,as long as your not a dipshit and artificially age it.
      relic-ing has to be the stupidest recent development in the world of guitars.

    • @svfutbol20
      @svfutbol20 9 років тому

      trillriff-axegrinder
      agreed. I got to play a 76 that looked just like that one in Chicago last weekend, so fucking cool... 3500 bucks though haha

    • @maxmustardman298
      @maxmustardman298 8 років тому

      +trillriff-axegrinder if you trust someone who is capabable of aging or re-colour you can safe yourself a whole lot of money. Consider to have my 86 gibson copy aged to 74 custom which would hopefully cost me not a 1000 bucks

    Do you think this would have enough clean headroom to play with a jazz combo? I'm trying to find a quality go anywhere, do anything amp. This thing clearly has the rock and blues thing down. And that clean neck pickup tone is killer!

    Nice! I'm not sure what year his LP is, but Bill Steer (Firebird, Angel Witch, Carcass) has a very similar Norlan-era Custom, aged just as yours is. The only difference I see between yours and his is the pick guard is missing on his.
